You Were Warned

Chapter 173 Tizqar

Tizqar In secretiveness I have been following Ashur, since the hybrid was spotted, a lot of them have changed behaviour. The once chatty, Alma, was no longer as chatty as before, tells us about her boring day. The group was all too proud to tell us all what their father gave them and more, but now they say nothing ... judging us all who are not their father's direct blood. Even Kudiya is not as close to me as he was. Something told me that they suspected, something was going on. They had yet to figure out what it was. But why would they after all this time of not realizing that a lot of us worked for Pappavar this whole time? None of us gave them any reason to think we truly worked against him. I was told on a regular basis that I had fallen out of favour with them and needed to correct things quickly. How was I to rectify things when I was left out of the loop? The second class bastards only whispered among themselves. Each time I would come join their group I was given the cold shoulder as if I were the disease to the family bloodline. They were the impure ones, not me! Even if Chaos did figure things out. By the time he does, we will have gotten the redhead, they will be powerless and will have to bow to the true ruler, Parppavar! Ashur's path led me to the hybrid's place, the fool did not suspect that he was being followed. I smiled to myself as I watched Hassun and the five hunters leave the area. This was going to be easier than what I had thought. I could see the sparks of energy as he motioned his hand closer to the protection shield. With care, he pushed his hand into the security. Realizing he was not being repelled like the other times, he moved his feet forward. The energy bounced around his body as he moved closer to the hybrid's dwellings. I had watched Ashur long enough to know that the redhead was most likely his mate. His temperament displayed the traits. He spent all of his resting time here. Our patrol route had been extended to this location. If Ashur was not scheduled for this location Sadragon was. Several times I had asked to be scheduled for this area. Quickly I was denied! I even volunteered to do extra shifts. I told Chaos that I figured with the new shift in schedule this had to be important. The bastard took my offer of volunteering to a different location. He thought he was clever but he was not. This move of his, it only furthered my suspicions that the redhead and Ashur were mated. I could not see the bastard inside of the house, I wondered what would cause him to enter the human borns residing. The thought of him being mated to this human born caused me to laugh. The irony of him being mated to a weakling was sheer mockery! The fact that he is diluted is enough to lower his status from Pappavar's point of view! Even the thought of lowering himself to the likes of a human born ... That was a sure way to get yourself killed by Pappavar's laws. To fuck and use a female of lower status… sure! That is as far as it goes, to reproduce with them, is against Pappavar's laws. "For sure he will be the first to meet the chopping block!" I whispered to myself. I was hoping that I would be the one holding the axe over Ashur’s neck. I have hated this little shit since the day he was born. Walking around the castle as if he was already a king with land and serfs. Pushing us around as if we were commoners. Far too long I had to endure his existence. ‘Soon cousin, it will be you begging for your life! And if I am correct, your precious mate as well!’ Sitting silently, I waited for Ashur to exit the place. I needed to give information to Pappavar. I needed to prove to her that I was still worthy to stand among the high ranking. The last meeting left me uneasy. The fact that so many unseen events had been occurring set her off on a tangent. If she wished for it, I would be dead with the snap of her fingers. I started to rub my throat at the thought of my head rolling on the ground. I could not allow this to happen. I needed to redeem myself. This would be a sure way to secure my spot among my high ranking kin! The sun was above the dwelling when the hybrid strolled out, carrying in her arms several boxes. Directing her feet towards the automobile. She opened the door and placed the boxes in the back. Opening the door and readying the automobile to leave the domain. Ashur appeared frustrated as he followed the same path as the human born. Ashur had gotten in the car. Whatever was going on, he was not pleased. I watched as both of them left the domain. I was not more sure now than I was ever before, Ashur and this human born were mates. This only made my next move better. If there is anything I know about mates, when one is killed it is as if the other is dying as well. I was going to make sure that this human born’s death was long and painful! Remaining in the shadows where I knew Ashur would not see nor sense me. As they drove out of sight, I proceeded forward. To my surprise, I was able to enter the domain. Smiling to myself I found a hiding place and waited. Whatever spell that was cast here, it no longer had much effect. Walking around the dwellings, I found a place that would be the best spot to sneak on the human born. I masked my energy so that if Ashur should return with the human born, I could remain there until I could make my move. The greatest of hunters know not to move until the exact moment of attack. In the shadows, I remained! I could hear the sound of the front door opening and closing. Peaking out just a bit, I wanted to make sure Ashur was not with the human born. Closing the front door. The human born took a few steps, pausing “I know you are here, come out … things will be a lot easier this way!”
