You Were Warned
Sadragon I made sure that Merna was nowhere close to the territory! Some of the hunting party were confused as to why we were not attacking once Pierre had his tent up. It was not until I told them that it was my mate and they were to keep their claws off of him, that everyone backed away. If there was one thing that dragons were, they were possessive of what belonged to them. When the hunting party saw that we were with Merna or as they called her the hybrid. Tizgar became very excited … exclaiming he was going to be the first to go after her. Many took this as a challenge! Everyone enjoyed the hunt, I was included in this game. Yet they would be disappointed once again. Ashur was the one who informed the group that the hunt did not begin until all of the temporary dwellings were up. Ashur and I shared a conversation that spoke no words. We knew what was going on, while the others did not. Merna was partially aware of what was going on. It had been decided that Merna would not know what was fully going on. Only knowing what she had seen, and nothing more or at least spoken from our mouths. The same went for my mate Pierre. We needed them to be as believable as possible. The Master was watching all of our movement from the comfort of his private chambers. Each of us had our part to play even if the participants did not even know what was going on. Everyone paid attention to how Merna was behaving. The way she would move her head with each sound we made. It was the behaviour of someone who knows they are being hunted. Yet the human borns did not respond to her reaction. “Fools!” I growled under my breath loud enough for Ashur to hear me. “Patience my dear beloved friend … soon your mate will be with you! All of this will be over soon enough!” Ashur hit me on the shoulder with a proud smile on his face. Sniffing the air, I wondered if Merna realized how much of her energy signature filtered out of her while she was not in her dwellings. This was something I would have to ask her as I led her back to the truck. I could tell an altercation was about to begin when the arrogant male stomped his way towards Merna. I was sure Merna would flinch. Instead, she stared the bastard down like a leader. Challenging him to proceed further. “One gold said she fell to the ground!” one of the hunters said. “Ten gold nuggets says she will punch him in the face and the little bitch falls on his ass!” Hassan bidded. “Twenty gold says she will leave the human born to us!” I said to the group. Already knowing how the other timeline played out. Merna had told Pierre and me several times how she ended up in the Master's domain. I may not know Merna as well as Pierre, but like all species, we all live by a pattern. Merna was no exception. Everything I knew about her told me she was going to leave things up to us. Her next move proved it! One single glance and Pierre stopped moving his feet, her next words were laced with poisonous venom, "Oh ... Markous! You are going to get your just desserts!" She chuckled dryly, "What they have planned for you ... Karma will be served with a side order of fuck around and find out!" “I called it!” I whispered to Ashur. Nudging me, “that was not fair, you knew!” Chuckling, “I had a feeling she would not change events that were that seem to be now!” “What do you speak of?” Hassan was now hovering over Ashur and myself. Ashur chuckled, “Sadragon’s mate is like a brother to the hybrid. The hybrid has told Pierre everything he needs to know about what is about to transpire here.” Thinking quickly to cover up our conversation. “That little thing down there!?” Hassun was pointing at Merna. “That hybrid is not an ordinary hybrid … something special indeed … to Pierre as well!” I told Sadragon hoping he would grasp the hint to leave this hybrid alone. Hassun started to laugh, “I take it the Master is going to let this Hybrid live IT life out in peace then! Pity … she is a pretty little thing that is for sure!” I grasped a hold of Ashur’s arm to remind him to remain calm. He might not have told me to my face that Mern is his mate, but this information I knew of. Keeping his temperament in check was a must. Beginning to chuckle, “I know right!” He huffed out, “But it will be I … who will taste her flesh first if that day should come.” Ashur paused as we watched Merna walk away from the group. “For the time being, my father has made it clear that no one is to engage with the hybrid. She has yet to disregard my fathers orders. Up to this point she has been respectful of the laws.” I watched as Merna spoke to a female … continuing to stroll away from the group of human borns. I got up from my spot as our eyes met. Meeting each other at a cross point, we continued to direct our feet to the road where the truck was parked. From the point of our meeting in the woods to the beginning of the truck's engine, There was nothing spoken. I could hear Merna in my head as the truck drove out of sight, ‘I will complete the spell once I get home.’ It was a reminder to me of what she was going to do. Ashur’s voice rang in all of our heads! ‘The tents were set up!’ The Master was now waiting for me to let him know that his mate was no longer in his territory and had left through the portal. I returned to the camp site once I told the Master what he wanted to hear. Zefer smiled at me, "go get your mate!" She started to laugh, "We will take care of the rest!" It took seconds for the whole scene to be in an uproar, The only one who found this amusing was Pierre as he witnessed everyone running around. Zefer glared at my mate as he was hysterically laughing, "Pierre is perfect for you!" Roaming towards my mate, "Have you had your fill of fun?" Pierre slipped his hand into mine, "Not even close! Where is our place?" With my other hand, I grasped him and brought him in for a kiss! "This way!" My tone was husky and full of lust.
