You Were Warned
Merna I shoved my list of spies, traitors and individuals of interest in Pierre's bag. Letting him know that it was there. The night was another night pledge with nightmares and tossing and turning. I could not get over the feeling that someone was trying to spy on me while I was inside my room. It felt like someone was trying to do a remote viewing of me. The same thing that I had done to my enemies. The only difference was, I made sure that my place was well protected. Not allowing anyone to see, hear or portal on in without an invite. I could not stop anyone from seeing what I was doing outside of these walls, but I could do my best to stop them from doing other things. The other thing that kept me tossing and turning was the fact I knew in the morning Pierre was going to be leaving the physical realm. That did not bother me! What was going to happen to Steve and Camile … that bugged me to the core. The only thing that stopped me completely from dragging the two away to safety was knowing they had mates who would embrace them welcomingly. Huffing out with frustration, "Do you have everything in the truck?" I yelled at Pierre as I was searching for my phone. I tried to retract my steps so I could find the bloody thing, the problem was … I avoided the damn thing like the plague. I only kept it around so that if I needed something while I was away from my protective bubble, I could call 9-1-1. Truthfully it was more of an overpriced paper weight. When Pierre leaves to be with Sadragon, the phone is the first thing to go. I did not need a phone plan to call emergency personnel to get help if needed. Poking his head out, "I was ready two weeks ago!" I heard Pierre yell from his personal bathroom. Throwing my hands up in the air out of frustration, "I can not find my phone anywhere! Have you seen it?" Pierre saw me in the living room roaming around everywhere. "I will call it!" He brought his phone out, “I swear if it were not for me, you would not own that damn thing!” “Funny that you mentioned that … that is the first thing to go when you are not here!” The phone rang three times, and neither of us could hear it! “You are going to need it!” Pierre pointed out, “If the tenets need to get a hold of you, you will need something to answer them!” “God Damn it!” I swore, huffing in my self defeat, "I swear once I find it I am going to place a beeper on it!" I complained! Huffing, "I will find it later! We have to keep to our schedule!"If there was one thing I could not stand, it was being late for an appointment. Punctuality was a big thing for me. The only thing to disturb that was perfection! Even that had a limit to how late was acceptable. "Are you sure?" Pierre grabbed the truck keys, "we still have a bit of time!" Glancing around the location, "Nah!" Heading towards the door, "the sooner we get things started ..." Pierre placed a hand over his chest for dramatic effect, "It is like you are trying to get rid of me!" “You know how much I hate the phone! I swear the damn thing knows it too!” I started to chuckle, "But what I was going to say was the happier Sadragon will be ..." I placed a finger to my lips, "but now that you mentioned it!" “Shut your pretty little mouth!” Pierre dropped his hand, "Come on Bronkes!" Pierre chuckled, "we are going to go for a drive!" With a tail wagging, we were out the door and in the truck. The tent was set up! Glancing around the location, "Is there anything else you need me to do?" I offered my services. Hugging me, "I only want you to keep to your promises!" I was never good with the emotional stuff but for Pierre, I could let my guard down. A few tears rolled down my face as Pierre wiped them away with the back of his hand. He and I both knew what the promise was. Once we both had gained each other's full trust. Pierre made me promise never to cause myself anymore bodily harm. For the last four years, I had made it a practice not to do what came so easily to me. "I will visit! Besides, you know where I am going to be!" I gave Pierre a playful jab to the shoulder! Behind us, we could hear a growl followed by, "do not think about beating up my mate!" Both Pierre and I burst out laughing along with Sadragon! "I will leave the pounding to you, Sadragon ... I do not want to be a part of that one bit at all!" I glanced at the two males that I stood in the middle of, "We still have more than three hours before the group gets here!" I pointed out. "I would like to show you a few more moves that I had learned from Ca..." Sadragon cleared his throat. "Or we could go for a stroll in the woods?" He suggested. I was not offended by Sadragon's reactions. This was his cue that things were not safe. Even though I gave as much information as I could, there was still a lot we did not know. As far as the two were concerned until Chaos had the chance to read my list of names, this was as far as the information line things would be. I looked up at Sadragon, “for your request … it will be completed once I get back!” I was sure that both of them would be able to understand my cryptic code. A single nod was all I needed from Sadragon. This decision did not come without the possible threat of attack. I was aware that the list that was given, a good number of those names had been closely linked to Chaos. What I did not know was how closely related they were. I motioned my head around! The feeling of unwanted eyes on me was destiny. I was not sure that the individual who was trying to spy on me was from this location. What was more bothersome was the fact that I got the impression they practised magick. If I were to bet on this, I would say it was a well trained mage, sorcerer or wizard. “Are you okay?” Pierre asked as both he and Sadragon watched me carefully. Nodding, “Ten by ten!” I forced a smile. For the longest time, Pierre and his mate walked behind me, whispering back and forth. while I enjoyed the scenery of our surroundings. "I love this time of year ... it is when all the shades are vibrant and full of life." I broke my vow of silence. "Oh dear god, someone save us!" Pierre groaned, "I have told you once and I have told you a million of times woman ... there is only one shade of green!" I raised one finger in the air, "Technically ..." Pierre was quick to cut me off. Pointing a finger at me, "Do not start with me, woman!" I was the first to start belly laughing while the other two joined in on the humour.
