Chaos I was emptying all thoughts of my mind as I was wondering the grounds of my territory. It had only been two Earth days since Sadragon had left to stay with his mate and Merna. All the events since Merna and Pierre visiting here up to now, have played in my mind. I was not wet behind the ears when it came to my so called siblings' attempts to de- throne me. I had to admit that there was a possible chance that my arrogance had led me astray. Parppavar may have gained more power over the many centuries. Going against the laws we are to stand by, would not surprise me. Proving that she is doing this will be a whole new matter. Parppavar has always been about to hide the truth or wrap the laws around her finger, bending them to her will. The entrance to my castle was in sight when my eldest sister, Parppavar, portrayed herself to me. I glanced to the side as the guards waited to see what I would say to them. I placed my hand up in the air and those that were nearby halted. As much as I would love to apprehend her for coming onto my territory without an invitation. I could not let her know the information I had. My sense of honour did not allow such an act to happen. Parppavar swayed her hips back and forth, motioning her feet in my direction. “Dear big brother!” She greeted me with a fake smile. “How are you doing my beloved?” Groaning, "I was enjoying my time before you showed up!" I complained. “What brings you by on this gloomy day?” I was praying that whatever she had to say would be spilled out of her mouth quickly. Even better if she would turn and leave now! I had not noticed until now how annoying her display of affection was … all an act … poor was not the right word to use but it would have to suffice for now. Giggling, "Oh dear big brother! I come with great news though, I thought you would love to hear what is buzzing around!" I could imagine in her mind the plot she had going on. Parppavar probably already had it set how she was going to execute her little game. Keeping my disposition as I always have, "I am sure I have already heard about it!" I narrowed my eyes at her, "go ahead and tell me then!" She crossed her arms in front of her chest, "With an attitude like that maybe I will not!" I gave her a toothy smile, "Since there is nothing to speak of ... you may go!" I dismissed her from my whereabouts. An ugly noise came from her throat, "dismissing me as if I were a commoner! How dare you!" Giving her a wicked smile, "if you were extraordinary... Unlike my so called siblings, I had a sense of honour, duty and understanding of the balance. A lot of them could care less about the balance! Craving power and notoriety! As the years turned into decades … decades into vicennial … vicennial into quinquagenarian … quinquagenarian into a century … the human borns stopped praying to them. The Christian belief took over while the mention of the other gods and goddesses faded out. I was not affected by this transition. So like the bottom feeders they are, they have to steal it from other sources. By doing this, they placed every species at risk with their carelessness. The question that plagued my mind … who to prove this? My mind bounced around the place, it had been a long time since I had been this frazzled. I kept on thinking about the letter that I had found. thinking about the prospect that I had denied Ashur and myself. Most of all I could not stop thinking about who would dare to betray me. She moves things with her mind!’ I could feel the excitement in my friend as he continued to speak. I interrupted Sadragon, 'Are you telling me that the redhead has manifested her powers in the physical world?' Something that was known of, but was a rare occurrence! I could hear Sadragon chuckling in my mind, 'She is working her skills in the physical realm as if she were in the other realms! Without the aid of a Master to guide her. My king … there is more to Merna than she lets on.' I did not say a thing for a bit as I passed a few hunters. 'Did she reveal what her origins are?' 'That is something she has sealed her lips on!' Sadragon chuckled some more, ‘But I have a feeling about her origins. It is the smell around her that gives her away! If it is your wish, I want to continue keeping an eye on her. Once she shifts … and I believe it will happen soon … I will give you the confirmation of my theory!” “Good!” I thought out loud, 'keep an eye on her and do not let her out of your sight.' I gave him an order. 'That is why I am getting a hold of you! She is heading your way, she is looking for a place to buy!' I could feel myself starting to grow uneasy. 'When?' I could feel the hesitation, 'my mate is speaking with the homeowner now and is making plans to see the place and get the paperwork started ...' He paused before finishing, 'It appears that they will be there in two days!' I halted my feet from moving, 'Are you sure?' 'Yes, my king!' Sadragon replied promptly. My mind was on overdrive, 'inform me when you arrive back. We are going to have to make a plan that needs to be followed.' 'As you wish!'
