I Became a God After the Apocalypse Game
'Material: Scorch Stone, Tier: Unidentified.' 'Material: Flameheart Stone, Tier: Unidentified.' "As expected of a Lord-level boss," Aiden murmured. Two legendary pieces of equipment and two elite materials. Although the equipment was nothing he could use yet, as they were probably at Level 100, the materials were important to him as he needed any elite material to forge the Divine Beastclaw Gauntlet. The materials weren't appraised yet, but they were from a Lord-level 100 boss. So they should meet the forging requirements. "Nice. Looks like Gray's equipment is taken care of, too." A grin tugged at Aiden's lips. The material came just when he needed it the most. After that, he quickly rushed to the first Lord-level boss' corpse. Compared to the earlier pile of props, there was only one thing on the ground radiating a deep crimson glow. "Wait. Is this… an artifact?"… "It actually dropped…" Aiden was surprised. In his mind, props and equipment of this caliber came from quests or forging. One might be lucky to get it from a sheer stroke of fate. However, he never heard of anyone getting an artifact from a boss. It was generally acknowledged that bosses didn't drop equipment above legendary tier. Nevertheless, what he saw had broken that belief. "Looks like not everything from my last life applies here. If I blindly cling to past experience, I'll run straight into a wall someday." Even while thrilled, a sense of caution crept into Aiden's heart. Indeed, he knew far more than other players thanks to his past life. But in the grand scheme of Doomsday, he didn't know how much he had actually uncovered. Even if he considered the challenges that several billion players experienced in the past life, maybe they had only seen the tip of the iceberg. "No matter what. This is a good thing." Aiden let out a slow breath and stowed the artifact. 'Prop: Ravager Horn of the Destroyer, Tier: Artifact, Effect: Unidentified.' Another prop needing appraisal. "Hell yeah. This eerie intrusion has been more profitable than completing a legendary quest." After making sure nothing was left behind, Aiden finally walked away, satisfied. Legendary quests were endgame missions available only after Level 80. They were long, grueling, and demoralizing. In his past life, only a couple of people worldwide had completed such quests. However, the rewards were extraordinary. At worst, one would still get a mythic tier equipment or prop. However, they were still incomparable to the rewards Aiden just received. He opened up his inventory and reviewed the haul. He had reached Level 40, obtained one artifact, three legendary equipment, 12 epic equipment, 164 gold equipment, and eight elite skill scrolls. It was a full harvest. "I wouldn't mind it at all if this could happen a few more times." He rubbed his chin. This didn't feel like an intrusion; it felt like charity outreach from the eerie creatures. …Compared to how relaxed Aiden was, shouts of battle thundered through the streets of Northcrest. The fight against the Lord-level boss was reaching its end. "Push harder! It's almost dead! Kill it for our fallen brothers!" "Charge!" The boss lashed out in its final agony, but no one faltered. The battle had been devastating. Half of Leafport was destroyed, and countless families were shattered. A once bustling city was reduced to bleak rubble. No one felt fear anymore—only hatred. Pure, burning vengeance. Boom! A meteor-like punch crashed down from the sky as Merrick descended like a cannonball. His fist tore into the boss like a dragon, detonating raw force through its body. He caused massive damage. The Lord-level 100 boss that had rampaged through the city finally saw its health empty. Its body shattered into black fragments and was scattered by the wind. "Finally… I finally got the prize!" Tears streaked down Merrick's face as he greedily swept the loot into his bag. Thank god this isn't another wasted effort. If he'd fought this hard only for someone else to steal the kill like last time, he'd rather call it quits. With that, all three Lord-level 100 eerie bosses invading Leafport had fallen. While the remaining beasts were still dangerous, they weren't a threat anymore.
