LARA’S POV “Today we all have gathered here to be a partaker of such a great day in the history of mankind. Today both werewolves and Pixies have come together under one huge umbrella and just so you know, this umbrella is not fully expanded and soon it will encompass all the people of the whole world. They all will be united under my shield, and with me, their lands will grow and flourish” Scarlet spoke out loud to everyone in a welcome address, and everywhere erupted with applause. I was standing just behind her, holding the stone amulet. Today is a great day and she will require the stone amulet, which serves as her authority over mankind. The stone amulet is a mantle from the moon goddess to her and it symbolizes her status as a guardian here on earth. I was also holding the golden staff of authority which is only used on rare occasions such as this one. When the applause dies down, she continued. “I welcome you all from far and wide into Pixolands. Today will be a happy day for every one of you as today, you will all bear witness to the oath of loyalty to be sworn by ministers, my kings, and alphas in every part of my territories” she stopped. Everyone present waited eagerly for the time to come. The time when the Chamlar would formally merge her other territories into one, the time when all the leaders of the territories would hand over their mantle of leadership to her without resistance. I too waited for that time. To me, it would signify the end of all her pains and suffering. It would be a moment of triumph not just against the territories, but for herself. Today, she would discover the new her, a queen of the world. She will rule over all and take orders from none. She will be a queen, above all kings. Today, there would be none above her on the surface of the earth. Who would dare to speak when she had not spoken? Her words would be law over all earth. Today, she will claim all that she had gone through fire and brimstone to get. She fought to get here, she endured them all right from the day she breathed air. Today, she will record her very first true victory. Wars were fought, lands claimed, and victories registered. But on this day would she claim the spoils of those wars, she will wipe out her foes and shield her allies. Today, her life would begin on a new scale. Kings, lords, and alphas would be beneath her. Territories would be hers to administer. And just like never before, lives would be laid down to protect hers. And finally, today, I will beat my chest and say that I fought for a good course.“So many started with me on this journey, some as shields and others as thorns. And for every role played by each one of you, I was able to get here today” she turned to me and I handed the golden staff of authority over to her. She held out the staff for all to see and went on. “Lord Nathan of the rogues” she called. Lord Nathan stepped out from where he was seated among the elders and came to the front. He knelt before her and bowed his head. “Yes, the great Chamlar” he responded. “Do you this day give me your land, and appoint me as your one true queen and leader?” she asked him. Lord Nathan responded with his voice raised. “I, lord Nathan, leader of the rogues of the North herein this day pledge my unfettered loyalty to you. I this day become your humble servant and my territory I hand over to you” “For keeping to the pact, lord Nathan, I hereby this day place you in charge of my territory in the North, and also to secure your unreserved loyalty, I make you my husband this day, before all present. You are only to be answerable to me and no one else” she proclaimed. At this point, we all hailed the queen. “Long live the great Chamlar” “Stand, lord Nathan” she ordered. After standing, he climbed to the podium and again bowed before the Chamlar until she touched him with her staff. He then moved closer to her and with his mouth open, she collected the stone amulet from me and touched the tip of his tongue with it. She returned the amulet to me and lord Nathan went to his seat on the right side of the throne. The Chamlar went on. “Alpha Fred of Diamond Cut Pack” she called. “Yes, my Chamlar” alpha Fred responded. He too was seated among the elders and he came out and knelt before the Chamlar. The Chamlar proceeded to ask him after he had knelt down with his head bowed. “Do you this day recognize me as your one true queen and leader?” He replied. “I, Alpha Fred of Diamond Cut Pack herein this day pledge my unreserved and undisputed loyalty to you. You are my true queen and leader. Make me this day your humble servant” When he had finished, the Chamlar said. “For recognizing me as your one true queen and leader, I hereby this day make you an alpha of Diamond Cut Pack, and also to secure your unreserved loyalty, I make you my husband this day, before all present. You are only to be answerable to me and the throne of Pixolands”“Long live the great Chamlar” we chorused again. “You can stand, alpha Fred” she ordered and he did. SCARLET’S POV Alpha Fred climbed to the podium and again bowed before me. I touched his forehead with my staff and when he opened his mouth I collected the stone amulet from Lara and touched the tip of his tongue with it. The Chamlee stood up, came over to him, and led him to a seat reserved for him on the podium. Now, this is the moment, a decision that I have never been able to make even till this time, the issue of alpha Ray and alpha Jake. They have come to the ceremony too, but I am yet to decide what would become of them. Should I let them continue as alphas of their various Packs, or should I send them far away from my lands? This decision is solely determinant on whether I can trust them or not. I need only reliable and trustworthy people around me. If I decide that they are unworthy, then they must go far away. They are already in possession of my thrones, and no matter how I chose to look at it they are the opposition to my claim of the thrones and I would continue to perceive them as threats if they should remain in my lands. I walked up to the Chamlee, lord Nathan, and alpha Fred. I need them to know about what they think of the alphas and what they suggest should be their fates. After the deliberation, I was fulfilled and I walked back to my place. Now I know just what will be the right solution for this. I collected my golden staff from Lara, stretched it forwards and all kowtowed in respect. “Alpha Jake of Black Moon Pack and alpha Ray of Crystal Realms Pack, do step forward” I called out. They hurried out and knelt down before me. “Yes, the great Chamlar” they both exclaimed. “Alpha Jake and alpha Ray” I called. “Yes, the great Chamlar” they replied. “Do any of you have a word to say before I proceed?” I asked. I looked at them and the thoughts of my experience with them flashed back. Alpha Ray has long been pardoned and as for alpha Jake, he only acted in tandem with the footprint set in place by my family. I forgive him too.Alpha Ray was the first to speak. “My Chamlar, I failed you so greatly as a friend, and each day, I wished I could get the chance to tell you just how sorry I am. Please forgive me, my Chamlar, I am truly sorry” When he was done, I nodded, and alpha Jake spoke next. “My Chamlar, mine was an unexplainable attitude. Even at the time when it was my duty to shield you, I took away the roof over your head. I would have loved to say that it was my ego, but I have come to realize that I was utterly stupid and I have no justification for all that I did” I sighed. I already saw the sincerity in them long before now and I hold nothing against them. “Do you alpha Jake of Black Moon Pack and alpha Ray of Crystal Realms Pack this day recognize me as your one true queen and leader?” I asked. They replied. “We herein this day pledge my unreserved and undisputed loyalty to you. You are our true queen and leader” By the time they were done, I have already started feeling a bit uncomfortable. I felt some little pain come and go but I decided to ignore it and proceed with the occasion. I said. “For recognizing me as your one true queen... and leader, I hereby this day make you alphas of your Packs, and also to secure your unreserved loyalty, I make you both my husbands this day, before all present. You are only to be answerable to me and to the throne of Pixolands” By the time I was done, I was already in severe pain. I held my waist and pressed my lips tightly to stop myself from screaming.
