LANDON’S POV “You cannot go there, Dawn, you of all people should know just how dangerous that will be,” I said as soon as we entered the room. “That is my home, Landon, I am not going to run away from it” she replied. “We are afraid for the luna, let alone you. You have not been there for too long, and you don’t know the state of things presently. Even if you must return, why not wait until all these have subsided, at least until the luna fully establishes her claim” I appealed. “See my absence will be just for a few days, I will be back before you know it. I know you are going to miss me, but I am also doing this for us. I need to let them know that I have found a mate and also that I am okay. I know they may act like they don’t care, but I am still one of them” she explained. “It is not about missing you, Dawn, it is far from that” I murmured. Yes, there is no denying the fact that I am going to miss her, but how do I make her understand my fear, how do I make her know that something just doesn’t seem right, how do I tell her to pledge undying loyalty to the luna without sounding possessive? I was confused, a part of me wanted to grant her request, but a greater and much stronger part wants me to decline. Now how do I respond to her request without coming out as selfish? * RICH’S POV “It is all happening so fast, Rich, I will never get used to having her away from” Lara sobbed. She was leaning on my chest lamenting the turn of events, while I was standing with my back against the wall. “It is part of life’s journey. Moreover, you are still going to be very close to her. I will let you remain here while I come to visit you on regular basis” I said. “You are right, Rich, but I never expected it. She is returning to Diamond Cut Pack without me. You can remain here for as long as you wish” I said. “The luna is right, Rich, my place is only by your side and I will go with you wherever you go. Mother can remain here if she chose to” she replied. “Alright, then we need to prepare. We will leave immediately after the luna leaves in two days” I said.
