SCARLET’S POV They all gathered in the throne room waiting for me to speak. I have called them here tonight, just as soon as I arrived from my visit to Nana with Rich. They are eagerly waiting for the news that I have brought back with me, they all wanted to hear what solution Nana had proffered to heal their Chamlee. I cleared my throat before speaking, my face holding a big smile as I looked at the faces of my humble subjects. They all looked so worried, but I know that right behind their mask of worry is the deep love that they all have for me and their Chamlee. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. “I greet you all,” I began. Moorso stood up and taking a bow, he replied. “Live long, the great Chamlar. We see that you are in high spirit tonight, and we all wait for the good news that you have brought back from Nana. Tell us what Nana asked of us and we will get it done right away” “Yes, Chamlar” Tensa spoke up next. “We will get to work immediately. We are dying to have our Chamlee back on his feet” “Thank you, everyone,” I said. “I will start by expressing my gratitude for the way you all have supported me during this trying time. I could not have done it all alone, and I cannot claim the victory. This is the first time I am addressing everyone since our victory against the three brother Packs. I waited for this to die down before I continued. “At the start of my reign, I pledged to take Pixolands to a great height, the greatest height that has ever been attained by any land, and just so you know, I don’t intend to renege on my promise. So as a way of another pledge, I will lead my army and we will take over the three brother Packs soon” I announced. There was jubilation everywhere. My announcement is only a sign that their Chamlee would be healed very soon. Now they know that I have come up with a cure. “This is great news, Chamlar. Now, what about our Chamlee” Tensa asked in excitement. “As for the Chamlee’s state of health,” I paused and looked around until I saw Landon standing guard at a corner. “General Landon, come over here” I called. Everywhere was silence. I know they might be wondering what Landon has to do with the health of the Chamlee. But not to worry, I don’t intend to keep them waiting for too long.Landon quickly left his post and rushed to the middle of the hall. “Yes, my queen” he bowed with a knee on the ground. “You can get up, Landon” I instructed. “Okay, my queen” he replied and stood. I looked around the hall again to get their full attention. When I saw that their attention was not divided, I continued. “As I was saying, as regards the state of our Chamlee’s health, I believe that Landon here has something to tell us” Landon looked up at me, he was stunned. “M... my... my lady” he stuttered. “Come on, Landon, you said that you have a solution to the Chamlee’s health, let us hear it now” I demanded. “So...rry, my...” Landon quickly went back on his knee. “Pardon me, Chamlar” he begged. “Stand up, Landon, Nana herself directed us to you,” I revealed. He was dumbfounded. He looked around the room, and then at himself before he began to stutter. “To... to me?” “Yes, Landon, the solution only lies with you” I replied with a smile. He looked at me again, and when he saw the seriousness on my face, he gradually stood up. “Speak now, Landon, what is your solution?” Atoor asked. “Yes, general Landon, let us hear you now” Moorso urged. “Go on, Landon, we are waiting,” I said. What you are in search of is invaluable then no corner should be spared” Me: I was already feeling helpless. “Please, Nana, where did I fail to search?” Nana: “Be strong my girl, the solution that you seek is still with you. it has been right by your side from the start. But your fear of breaking the fragile content has refused you to look” smiles. “Me: Begs. “Nana, please, I have gone through so much. I cannot start telling you all about it. I cannot uncover even the simplest of riddles at this time” Rich: exclaims. “Landon... I knew it. He is the only room that you have refused to uncover. The answer is definitely Landon” Me: Unimpressed. “Stop it, Rich, not you too. Please not at this time” Nana: Exhales. “Go back and hear what Landon has to say. Then you can know how to search the room and avoid breaking even a single delicate item” she instructed and then she got up and walked away. The Chamlar has warned you severally. Lalic is not a tool for experiment” she yelled. “It is okay, Atoor. We ought to hear him first before coming to any conclusion” I said. Landon was shocked. He could not believe that I have stood up for him even when he had again mentioned Lalic and asked him to continue. A little smile appeared on his face. “My Chamlar...” he murmured. “Please go on” I ordered. Landon continued. “My Chamlar, when the Chamlee fell ill. I knew that the illness would not take long to claim him. However, when he was still alive and was not responding to any treatment I got confused and curious. This led me to research on the case...”
