I Married My Boss... On a Blind Date

Chapter 1415 The Most Important Person

“There are plenty of well-regarded individuals. Why on earth do I have to choose you!” Dexter looked at Selena, who responded openly, “What do you think?” Morgan was so engrossed that he even forgot about his coconut water. He chuckled lightly. “Dexter sure has the guts to threaten Salazar. I knew I wasn't wrong about him.” Josie was somewhat confused. “What?” Morgan snapped back to reality. “Nothing.” In the midst of a complex game of cat and mouse, an unexpected player lurked in the shadows. Not far off on the street, inside a parked car, Zach was huddled up, his eyes trained on them through a pair of binoculars. Suddenly, his hands trembled, and the binoculars fell to the ground. “Summer?” The person next to him jumped in surprise, quickly picking up the binoculars to take a closer look. “Is this for real? Didn't Summer sever ties with the Olsen family and hasn't returned since?” At that moment, Summer was standing next to a strange man, looking much different from before.“And there's Dexter... If he's involved, it means the matter isn't trivial.” Zach was somewhat uneasy. “What's their relationship? Do you think I should inform the old man? That guy doesn't seem like good news.” “Zach, have you lost your mind? You dare to mention Summer in front of him?” “But... no matter how you put it, she's still his daughter, and she's my sister...” The other person pondered for a moment. “Aren't we here to figure out the relationship between Morgan and Josie? Let's observe a bit more.” Remembering the purpose of that trip, Zach settled his gaze on Morgan. Yet, those two barely made a move. Morgan had just finished his coconut water when his phone on the table began to ring. Josie glanced at it, but he quickly ended the call. At that moment, Ryan stepped forward to report something, and Morgan acknowledged with a nod. “All right.” Josie stared at him. “What's wrong?” Morgan flashed a slight smile. “You've been staring at me all day, seemingly unconcerned about Dexter. I don't think you've changed your mind about me.” Her thoughts were seen through, making her somewhat uncomfortable. “I was just asking. Don't flatter yourself.” “It seems like things have settled down here. I have some urgent matters to attend to, so I need to head back to Rivodia. Jo, will you be all right here in Wavery on your own?” Even though Josie knew that Morgan was teasing her on purpose, she still managed to catch the main point. “Why are you going back to Rivodia?” “That's where I come from. Can't I go back?” It's not that... After learning about Yulissa, Josie was filled with fear toward him. “I'm just suddenly curious about something.” Josie turned her head as he stood up. “Morgan, who is the most important person in your heart?” Upon hearing this, he impulsively began to speak, only to be interrupted. “Don't say it's me.” After some thought, Morgan said, “Myself.” Josie was left speechless. Morgan walked away.Ryan trailed behind him and asked, “Something seems off with Josie. Has she found out something?” With an expressionless face, Morgan put his sunglasses back on. “Has he really returned?” “Yes, he's waiting for you at La Oriele.” Seeing Morgan leave, Zach put down his binoculars. “You keep an eye on things here. I'm going to follow him.” “Zach... Morgan doesn't seem like an ordinary man. You gotta be careful.” “I don't believe he can do anything to me.” Zach had absolute confidence in the power of the Olsen family. Beside the wooden cabin, Salazar narrowed his eyes. “I brought quite a few men with me. What if I decide to take the child away by force?” Dexter laughed. “You can compete with my men. I can handle it if things get out of hand, but I'm afraid it might be difficult for you to control the situation.” Salazar fell silent for a moment. By this point, he understood that Wavery was Dexter's territory.
