Golden Moon: The Beta Twins' Contracted Mate

Chapter 97 Destroy Him

Magnus' p.o.v. “Magnus, calm down. Not everyone can handle an Alpha's aura.” I hear Makay say from behind me and it takes me a few seconds to gain control. Gilliam is still pissed off at the disrespect, but at least he is allowing me to handle everything. “What happened here?” I hear an unfamiliar voice ask behind me. “This Moron thought he could insult my future Beta female. My Lycan and I didn't appreciate it and if he knows what is good for him, he will avoid me at all costs in the future.” I answer without taking my eyes off the man in front of me. I feel a hand on my shoulder and Gilliam relaxes a little more when he realizes that Meadow is standing behind us. “I have dealt with worse, Gilliam.” Meadow says and we both realize that she has dealt with a lot in her life, but no longer has to do everything by herself. “We know, but you are mated to my Betas and that makes you family. You better start realizing that we will protect you if we have to.” I tell her as I turn around. “No one disrespects one of our family members and those who do will find out the consequences eventually.” Meadow smiles up at me, before she faces the Moron with an ice-cold stare. She doesn't say anything and for a moment, I think he is getting away with it.“I have given each of you a warning when Meadow joined our Squad. I made it clear that I wouldn't tolerate any form of disrespect and you were made aware of the consequences if you broke my rules.” Captain Miles states. “Captain...” One of the other Squad members starts, but all Captain Miles has to do to shut him up is raise his hand. “Rules were clear, you all agreed to them. Now you will find out that I wasn't joking.” Captain Miles replies. The dining room falls silent, and everyone stares at the doorway in shock. Calista is standing there with a smirk on her face and two bags in her hands. “Time to join your Brother.” Calista says as she dumps the bags at the man's feet. His Wolf releases a roar as he pushes forward, but Meadow has already grabbed him by his throat. She must have heard them discussing their next step and I wonder who their target was. “I suggest you do as Captain Miles says and make sure that you never cross another member of Black Valley Pack or Gold Moon Pack.” Meadow says, before she shoves him toward the doorway. Meadow's team escorts him out of the Squad house, while Makay carries his bags as he follows the group out the door. Myka has his arms wrapped around Meadow and Captain Miles explains the rules once again to his Squad. Gilliam retreats to the back of my head, feeling content with the Idiot on his way out of Renegade territory. I can see people around me relax, now that Gilliam is no longer near the surface. Dad discovered a few years back that my aura is more potent than his or that of my Brother, but neither of them is intimidated by it. Their Lycans can handle Gilliam and he will never hurt our family, unless they threaten our Mate or children. It takes a few minutes for everyone to return to the dining room and we can finally sit down for some food and coffee. After that, we head back to the Elder Residence for our meeting and for some reason, no one questions why we are tagging along. “Good morning. Please have a seat so that we can begin this meeting. It is going to be a long and complicated one.” Elder Chelsea says as she starts up the screen that is mounted on the wall. A moment later, we are looking at the emblem of Frozen Star Pack. Right under it is a family tree for the current Alpha, but the spots for his Luna and heir are empty. However, there is mention of a Mate and a Son, right under the Alpha's name. “Alpha Ferdinand informed the Elders that he found his Mate and his Son, but he didn't mention it until the boy was born. We didn't have a reason to distrust the information we received and we added it to our Archive within a few days.” Elder Chelsea states. She shows us the letter Alpha Ferdinand wrote to the Elders, but I quickly realize that he didn't mention during which Full Moon he found his Mate. Gilliam points out the boy's date of birth and we both did the math. “They aren't fated Mates.” I say. “Unless his Mate took precautions, the boy wasn't conceived on a Full Moon.” “We never paid close attention before, but you are right, Young Alpha. If they had been fated Mates and she didn't take any measures to avoid a pregnancy, we would have been able to calculate on which Full Moon they met.” Elder Chelsea responds. I hate where this is going; nothing good can come of this. The first thing that comes to mind is a rejection; the other option is too unsettling. “Over the past few months, we have received messages that paint a different and, might I add, painful picture. Alpha Ferdinand found his fated Mate and has a Daughter with her. From what we have been told, the Mate that we all know to be the Luna is his chosen Mate. The person who sent those messages is aware of something that no one else in the territory knows about. His fated Mate and Daughter live in a suite, located at the back of the Alpha floor.” Elder Chelsea says. Gilliam is pacing in the back of my head. He never understood why people wanted what wasn’t meant to be theirs or how someone could live without their fated Mate. “Today we will discuss everything we have gotten and then I want to make a plan to take Alpha Ferdinand’s fated Mate and Daughter out of there.” Elder Chelsea says, while other Elders are handing us files. “Inside, you will find printouts from all messages and recordings that we received. Read them and once you are all done, we will discuss this matter.” Elder Josiah states.Whoever is ratting out Alpha Ferdinand is fooling around; they want to destroy him.
