Meadow’s p.o.v. I don’t think twice and follow Captain Miles back to the Pack-house. I’m a little surprised to see Maryan beside me, but then again, she is just like me. “Start looking for Rory; he might have kidnapped Felicity.” Captain Miles says through our mind-link. “Let’s turn the Pack-house upside down. One team will start on the Alpha floor and the other will be in the basement. The third team heads down into the dungeons.” Maryan and I run up the stairs to the Alpha floor, even though I doubt Rory would take her there. I am just not willing to take any chances. “Myka, does the Pack-house have any hidden rooms or corridors?” I ask him because if anyone would know about them, it is Myka. “I am already checking with Elder Chelsea. They should have a blueprint and I know the place well enough to determine if there is any hidden space.” Myka responds. My team and I meticulously check every room on the Alpha floor. We knock on the walls, at the back of each closet and open and check if the interior of a room is as large as the outside. We come up with nothing and head to the Beta floor. After checking the living room, kitchen and office, we walk down the hall to start checking the bedrooms. We start with the rooms by the Omega stairwell and slowly make our way toward the master bedroom. Maryan and I check the room I have been in, but we find nothing out of the ordinary. Maryan and I reach the room I left minutes ago and as I turn to step into it, I realize there is no door across the hall. “Myka, Makay. Beta floor, Now.” I tell them through our mind-link. I enter the bedroom and turn toward the hall, pointing at the wall. Maryan looks at Calista, who walks out of the room to our left and shakes her head. “That room isn’t big enough, but I will check the other room.” Calista says as she walks to the other room, but a moment later she sticks her head around the corner, shaking her head. I am standing in front of the wall, trying to find any sign of a door or anything that opens. Myka and Makay stop next to me, but I still haven’t found what I am looking for. “See anything strange?” I ask while I gesture at the walls on both sides of the hall. “No door. Perhaps a larger room.” Makay offers, but Myka is already shaking his head. “There should be a room, according to this blueprint.” Myka says as he turns the tablet toward us. The four of us stare at the blueprint. There should be a room here and if I am reading the blueprint correctly, there shouldn’t be a door. “It looks like this was meant to be an open area. I don’t see anything that indicates a door.” I point out to Myka and Makay. “Why would you close up an open area and not use it to make another room or make other rooms bigger?” In the meantime, the rest of my team has finished checking every other room on the Beta floor. Maryan leads them down to the Gamma floor to check that floor out, while we knock on the wall to find out if there might have been a door at some time. “Okay, let’s leave this for another time. Right now, I want to find Felicity.” I tell my Mates when we realize there had never been a door. It takes us half an hour to check the entire Pack-house from top to bottom, but no trace of Rory. The only thing we did find was on the CCTV footage, Rory leaving the Pack-house ninety minutes before Alpha Damon showed up. “Alpha Damon, can you tell us exactly what happened?” I ask. “I am curious how you knew Felicity was gone and where to look for her?” “Not a problem. My Mate stayed with Felicity after we returned; she had woken up as I walked up the stairs to the Alpha floor. My Mate linked me to the fact that she was fighting a young male, an Alpha, who tried to take Felicity. On my way up, I lost the link with my Mate. She was unconscious when I reached the bedroom and Felicity was gone. I have footage from a camera in the Omega stairwell. Rory was carrying Felicity over his shoulder.” He says as he shows his phone to Alpha Lincoln. “Alpha Lincoln, can I ask a few of Alpha Damon’s Warriors to join me? I want to check the land between both territories. They might know the best spots to cross their borders to yours.” Captain Miles asks. I know exactly what he is thinking. Rory might not have gotten out of Alpha Damon’s territory and if none of us is present when he is caught, he will disappear without a trace. Rory deserves to die for kidnapping Felicity, but not without answering some of Alpha Lincoln’s questions. “Alpha Lincoln, I want to go with Captain Miles. I doubt he got out of their territory; we will never get answers if he dies without some sort of a trial.” I tell him. “The three of you.” Alpha Lincoln says as he points at me and my Mates. “You’re with Captain Miles.” Alpha Damon won’t go against him because he is a guest in our territory. We follow Captain Miles as five of Alpha Damon’s Warriors step forward and Captain Miles gestures for them to follow us. “Maryan, follow us at a distance and stay within the borders.” Captain Miles tells her through the mind-link. My team will stay close to us to ensure that there are no surprises. Myka is by my side while Makay is running behind us, all of us are on high alert. After all, we don’t know how Alpha Damon’s border patrol will react when they see us near their borders. “Captain, our patrols are aware of our presence; they will assist you if necessary.” One of the Warriors says and I release a breath I didn’t know I was holding. Rebel is watching my surroundings, keeping an eye on danger from whatever crosses my path. She is in her element at the moment and these are the moments we both enjoy the most when we are running in Human form.
