Golden Moon: The Beta Twins' Contracted Mate

Chapter 25 Kick Ass

Meadow’s p.o.v. For the past two days, we have been giving Makay the wrong impression of our training schedule and I am ready to put that boy in his place. “Okay, is everyone ready?” I ask as we walk towards the training grounds and I see a smirk on Makay’s face. “It won’t be there for long.” Rebel growls in my head. “Makay, you will be my sparring partner. I want to see what you are capable of and what we might need to work on, before we take you with us on an assignment.” I say, while I take off my jacket. Makay walks towards me with confidence in his step, but that will be gone pretty quickly. I just look at him as he takes a fighting stance and I patiently wait for him to make the first move.He waits a few seconds before he makes his first move and as he lunges at me, I step to the side to slam my fist in his side. He managed to keep standing, but just barely, he hadn’t realized that he was coming at me too fast and my fist in his side made him become unbalanced. He swings his fist in my direction, but I block him with ease and my other fist connects with his ribcage. I hear a satisfying crack and I know he will have trouble breathing for a few minutes. He stumbles a bit as he tries to get back into position and then he lunges at me again, but just like before I step to the side. This time I let my fist connect with his other side and again I could hear the satisfied crack of some of his ribs. I don’t say a word as I wait for him to make his next move, I know that he is trying to find a way to take me down and if he can succeed I will be the first to congratulate him on his win. Makay is looking at my feet to see what my next move might be and I can hear Rebel chuckling in my head. This is something I have trained with Tyson and I am able to make my feet move opposite from my arms, throwing my opponent off track. I step to the right and his right arm comes up to block my left arm, but it is my right fist that connects with his face. “What the Fuck?” I hear him growl and I smile at him sweetly. “What, your Bear upset that you got bested by a girl?” I ask tauntingly. Makay lunges at me again, but I can tell that his Bear is near the surface and I allow Rebel to push forward. Rebel hates it when males think that they can outsmart us and the moment we can put our arm around their neck, we start squeezing. We don’t release him until we have choked the air out of him and we drop him unceremoniously to the ground. “Take him to the infirmary.” I say to one of the Orderlies. “Warn me when he wakes up.”I turn my back on them and decide to train with some of our other Squad members. They are taking turns coming at us; they know that we are too wound up to relax and sparring with multiple members at the same time, which gives us the chance to unwind. Everyone stops at the same time, we can feel Captain Miles approaching and that means that we need to pay attention. He looks around as if he is looking for someone and I have a damn good idea as to who that person is, he is looking for Makay. “You might want to visit the infirmary, Captain.” I say as I pick up a bottle of water. Captain Miles looks at me with a smile on his face, he knows that I can take down just about anyone and the fact that Makay is currently in the infirmary, tells him enough about Makay’s situation. “Did you learn anything about his fighting skills before you made him blackout?” Captain Miles asks.“Yeah, he is as easily fooled as the rest of you.” I say and I don’t have to explain to anyone what I did, each of them has been on the receiving end of it. Maryan steps next to Captain Miles and shows him the video of our fight. A growl escapes Captain Miles and I know that he has seen Makay’s Bear near the surface. “I want to be there when he wakes up; he was warned that this wasn’t allowed during training. Only when we fight with our other halves can they assist us, but not during a normal sparring session.” Captain Miles growls. It takes almost two hours before we get a link to inform us that Makay is slowly regaining consciousness and I follow Captain Miles into his room at the infirmary. Makay growls the moment his eyes land on me, but I just shrug my shoulders in response. “You were the one in the wrong, Makay. We made the rules very clear and yet you broke them. If it was up to me, I would send you home and let your Alpha deal with you.” Captain Miles says. “Luckily for you, Meadow is planning on putting your head on straight and therefore you get to stay.” “I do have to give you a warning, Makay. If that Bear of yours ever surfaces again during normal training, I will send you home in a vegetative state.” I growl in his direction, before I walk out of the room. The moment I am outside the infirmary, I take my clothes off and let Rebel shift. We both need some time to ourselves and going to see Arion is the best remedy. Rebel lies down in her usual spot and with her eyes closed we both wait for any sound to indicate Arion’s arrival. “Are you okay?” We hear Arion ask and Rebel slowly opens her eyes to look at the Lycan that lies on the ground next to us. “Just a dipshit that can’t handle the fact that females can be stronger or smarter than him, he was sent here by his Alpha for talking down to females and to agree with some barbie doll that females shouldn’t train.” Rebel answers. I can hear Uncle Major and Arion chuckle in my head, they seem to think it is funny. “It is clear he never met one of our family members, because any female within our family can kick ass.” I hear Uncle Major say teasingly.
