Makay’s p.o.v. “No, thanks. He made a mess of it and he knows how Thyrius and I feel about his behavior. I will be in the Archive.” I hear Myka say to Dad. Blade is of the same opinion as my Brother and his Bear, to him it doesn’t matter what our Mate looks like or if she can defend herself or not. He hasn’t said a word to me since Alpha Lincoln gave me my punishment, except for his chuckles when I was told to be there at nine tomorrow morning. “You did this to yourself, you have always been an ass and even though I doubt it, I hope this will show you that you are wrong.” Blade mumbles before he turns his back on me, continuing with his silent treatment. I get into SUV that will get me to Renegade territory and I have four guards with me, as if they don’t trust me to show up.My parents are waiting next to the SUV, neither one of them says a word and I know that they are very disappointed with me. They have often wondered out loud, where they went wrong with me. It wasn’t their fault, they raised all of us the same and none of them ever said or did anything to make me think that a female is weak or can’t protect herself. As we drive away from the Pack-house of Gold Moon Pack, Ryder hands me a file and I look at him questioningly. “Renegade territory. Alpha Lincoln thought you might want to read up on the territory and what they stand for, just to make sure that you don’t make a fool of yourself.” He responds. Renegade territory was formed by the Elders, they wanted to train an Elite Force that could handle any type of situation. Each member is a skilled Warrior and some have an extra specialty, something they can use out in the field. Renegades help the Elders to uphold our Laws, they get send to Packs that need assistance with Rogue attacks or any other kind of assistance they might need. We have had Renegades come to Black Valley Pack, we had some Rogue attacks and Alpha Lincoln wanted the extra help to locate them. He managed to find the place where the Rogues were hiding and with the Renegades he dealt with them. There are a lot of different fields a Renegade can excel in and each of them is an important field of expertise to have within a unit. Medical, technical, strategical and a few others that you might need. We stop at a motel for the night and I growl when I see that I have to share a room with Ryder and Hayden. “Your Mother called ahead and arranged for this. Looks like she doesn’t really trust you to stay put and take your punishment like a man. What the fuck did you do to piss off the Alpha?” Tyson asks. I tell them about my responses to Stella’s complaining and the warning I had tossed into the wind. “If this doesn’t work, I might ask Alpha Lincoln to put you in a training group with our Sisters. They will kick your fucking ass and for your information, they train the same hours we do.” Tyson states. It takes me a while to get to sleep, but I already know that I will be stalling in the morning. I am going to be fashionably late, let’s see what they will do about that. “Makay, wake up. We need to leave in an hour.” I hear Tyson growl and I slowly sit up, stretching my arms above my head. All four of my guards are already dressed and they seem to be really impatient at the moment, but they will have to wait until I am done. “Is there any breakfast?” I ask as I slowly get out of bed, Tyson points towards the table near the door and I sit down there to get some coffee. Tyson stays in the room with me, while the other three are bringing their bags to the SUV and I take my time to finish breakfast. I walk into the bathroom to start my morning routine and I turn on the shower to make sure it takes a while for me to get ready. Once I am showered and dressed, I open the door of the bathroom and I look around carefully to see if I might have left anything behind. “Damn it, Makay. Get a move on, we are going to be at least an hour late.” Tyson growls as he turns to face me. I shrug my shoulders as I look around the room, I take my time to walk out of the motel room and I see a smirk on Hayden face. “Just to inform you, Alpha Lincoln is aware of your stall tactics.” Hayden says, before he gets into the SUV and Tyson pushes me forwards. None of them says a word as we continue our journey to Renegade territory and I keep my eyes on the scenery outside the SUV, time slowly ticking towards nine in the morning.My eyes widen as I see the first signs of Renegade territory, mountains and forests as far the eye can see and I know that somewhere around here is the Palace. They have a territory of their own, but it connects to Renegade territory. “What the Fuck.” I yell as a Leopard starts running next to the SUV, I know there are different kind of shifters. After all I am one of them, but I have never seen a Leopard and from the sounds of the others, neither have they. Ryder stops the SUV in font of what looks like a Palace, but I know that this is not the King’s Palace and I see two Elders waiting for us at the bottoms of the stairs. “I apologize, Elders. It seems that Makay was determined to make a bad first impression, I doubt a second would be any better.” Hayden says and I hear both Elders laugh. “You better get a move on, Makay. Your team has been at for almost thirty minutes and your team Captain isn’t known for her patience. She is waiting right over there.” One of the Elders says and he points to my left. “Get going, before she reports you. She is known to come up with the worst punishments and I have seen quite a few in my time.” The other Elder states and I take off in a slow jog towards the team Captain.
