The Wolves Beneath the Sanctuary

Chapter 169 Details

Warning. Very violent and explicit sexual content. Umayza Once the green eyes start to fade, I know I will be leaving this memory soon, but I wonder why I relived a memory that didn’t take place here and maybe I will have an answer once my mind has processed everything. I just hope I will get the chance to thank him for what he did. I know I will be safe as Evander and Conri explained to me how things would go once we got to White Horn Pack, and I was relieved to hear that they had come up with a plan that would keep me safe or at least as safe as possible. My world turns black the moment those green eyes are completely gone. I hear pleads from males and females; “Please, don’t do this to us.” “Please, not my Mate.” “Please, not my Pup.” I heard them all clearly as if I had been walking among them that day, and even though I don’t relive their feelings anymore, I can hear the despair in their voices. I hear the growls and roars from the males when their Mates or Pups get assaulted, they growl and roar as they get assaulted themselves, and their anger and fear is clear to hear in their voices. Sometimes I hear other voices, and what they say makes my skin crawl. “I am going to enjoy your Pup.” “Take me deeper.” “Spread those legs or your Pup gets it.” “I lied; I am going to take him anyway.” There were so many cruel words spoken that night and I hear them all. This will be the most difficult thing for me to recount to the Council, but to get justice for their victims, I will. I hear the whimpers of every Wolf as the males that belong to former Alpha Roger molest their victims; I see the males laughing and watching as their victims get tormented, and more than once I hear someone say, “It is we can’t leave witnesses alive or I would enjoy you a little longer.” I see how each Wolf eventually gets slaughtered, I see the former Alphas laughing as they walk away from the massacre, and I know I am not at the end just yet. I am still waiting for the twins to get born and for Ayden to show up, but I never relive the memories the same the second time around. I see and hear the female whisper, “I am sorry, Luna. This is the only way for them to survive.” I hear her softly cry as she gets the twins out of the Luna’s womb and I hear her softly whisper, “Take them to safety, they are your responsibility now and I know you will protect them with your life. They are your Alphas and the two of you are the only Pack-members they have left. Always remember that I love you and that I am proud of you.” I hear her and her Pups cry as they whisper goodbye to one another, before her Pups take off with the twin boys. When it comes to their savior, my memory doesn’t become any clearer, but I hear the young male Pup talk to him and I can hear that he trusts him. I can hear him comforting both Pups by telling them they did a good job getting the twin boys to safety. I hear Ayden long before I see him, he is growling and roaring as he tears the Wolves that stayed behind to pieces and when he looks at his Mate, I see pure pain in his eyes, I hear the despair in his voice as he asks her who is responsible for the massacre. I hear the gentleness in his voice when he answers her love declaration and I see and hear pure horror when he refuses her last request. She knows she isn’t going to make it and she wants the pain to stop, but Ayden struggles with her request to end her life. “Would you rather watch me in this much pain for hours or days? We both know my time has come and there is only one thing you can do for me, stop this pain Ayden.” She whispers and I know she is right; with her injuries she will die. He is the only one that can stop her suffering, but I can understand why he is reluctant to do it. “It won’t hurt you as much as it would if you had marked me. I love you, Ayden. I will always love you.” She whispers before his Wolf pushes forward to stop the suffering of his Mate and I am grateful his Wolf was willing to listen to his Mate, even though I understand it turned him insane. My world turns black once more and I know that I will wake up soon, soon I will be able to hold my Mates again. I know they made mistakes when they left that note or when they didn’t come looking for me after the first days of the Full Moon, but this showed me that it can all be over before you can blink your eyes.
