Reborn as the Baby Sister Everyone Spoiled—and the One He Loved

Chapter 12 I'm Not Worthy

The man was burly and towering in a suit, with an intense expression that was slightly intimidating. Elaine paused briefly before approaching. "Could you step aside, please?" She retrieved her car keys and unlocked the car, acting as though the person standing before her was a stranger. "Good evening, Ms. Elaine." Ryan bowed respectfully, his body forming a perfect forty-five-degree angle. Ryan, the right-hand man of Terry, was a familiar face in Rivington. Everyone always welcomes him with warm smiles. Yet, in this instant, his respect for Elaine was evident. The reason was simple. Elaine was someone Terry cherished deeply.Elaine's expression hardened. "Get out of my way!" She had a strong dislike for Terry. As a result, she had little regard for those associated with him. Nevertheless, Ryan stayed courteous. "Ms. Elaine, Boss has been waiting for you for some time." "And why should I care?" After being rebirth, her thoughts were still in disarray. She had completely overlooked that this six-star hotel was owned by the Wilsons. She yanked Ryan aside, opened the car door, and got inside. Ryan staggered from the sudden pull but quickly steadied himself. He was also quite taken aback. When had Ms. Elaine become so powerful? After all, he was an experienced martial artist—a formidable one among them. Even a strong and robust man might not be able to move him an inch. Yet, she had nearly made him lose his balance with a single tug. As Elaine prepared to drive off, Ryan swiftly grasped the steering wheel. "Ms. Elaine, Boss means no harm. You mentioned wanting to end the engagement, and he would like to discuss the reasons with you in person." "Heh." Elaine let out a cold, disdainful sneer. That bast*rd was remarkably quick to receive the news. "Tell him this. I was raised in the countryside, have limited education, and am not worthy of the esteemed Mr. Wilson."With that, she attempted to shut the door. But Ryan stepped in front of her. "Ms. Elaine, you really need to talk to Boss directly." When Terry found out that she wanted to break off the engagement, the room had grown frigid. Neither he nor Carey had dared to say a word. If he conveyed Elaine's message accurately, he might have ended up thrown off the top floor. He didn't want to face an early demise. Additionally, she felt not worthy? Previously, she was just a no-name, D-list celebrity being heavily criticized. How did she muster the courage to flirt with Boss? Now that she's become the daughter of the Currans, she's suddenly felt unworthy? It seemed like a reason to avoid responsibility. "Go away!" Elaine's gaze was icy and piercing. She never wanted to encounter that j*rk again. Ryan's constant interference tested her patience. "Ms. Elaine, why are you making things so hard for me?" Elaine stayed quiet. "If you don't meet with Boss today, I'll come and bother you tomorrow." She remained silent. "If you still don't go tomorrow, I'll show up the day after," Ryan insisted. "Show me the way."Elaine frowned in irritation. She pulled out the car keys and stepped out of the car. Alright. I would go and confront that j*rk! Certain things needed to be discussed in person. She disliked ongoing complications. Meanwhile, at the hotel rooftop, 58th floor. Inside a presidential suite, an extraordinarily lavish living room. A man stood by the expansive windows, overlooking the sweeping view. He was dressed in a white shirt and black pants. They accentuated his strong, upright posture. A slim waist. And an incredibly long pair of legs. One hand rested casually in his pocket. The other hand held a glass of red wine. He gently swirled it. Graceful, refined. Yet radiating an unapproachable, commanding presence. Even as just a silhouette, his presence was overwhelming. Without realizing it, Ryan held his breath and concentrated. "Boss, Ms. Elaine is here." Ryan guided Elaine in, then respectfully exited the room, closing the door behind him.
