Seraphina Is Back—and She’s Not Alone
Alina's face flushed with fury. "You... you're shameless! If it weren't for your intimidation, we would never have done this to ourselves!" Seraphina shrugged with a look of feigned innocence. "Oh, really? So, would you do it if I told you to jump off a bridge? Or eat dirt? Would you go along with that, too?" Alina and her friends went quiet while the watching students shared astonished looks. Bryson, the class rep, broke the silence. "Mr. Donovan, we can all vouch for Alina—she only did this because Seraphina pressured her." Seraphina looked at Bryson, raising an eyebrow. "Bryson, right? You should share exactly what happened—every word. I appreciate your loyalty to your friends, but you should have upheld some integrity as a class rep. Without that, what do you have left?" Xavier's gaze sharpened as he looked at Alina, Daxton, and the rest. Seraphina just got here—she couldn't have stirred up trouble this fast.I've been handling these spoiled kids for two years now; I know exactly what's happening here. They likely spoke or acted in a way that led to their defeat by Seraphina. This time, they messed with the wrong person. "We only spoke the truth! If she's bold enough to do it, why fear a bit of gossip?" Juliette snapped, glaring at Seraphina with pure hate. "Oh, is that right?" Seraphina shot back, smirking. She went on, "Well, I've heard you have quite a knack for socializing, often hanging out at hotels after school. Hmm... wasn't there a rumor about you being the child of your mom and some mysterious man?" Juliette's face turned red as her eyes filled with tears. "You're lying about me!" Seraphina replied with a shrug, "Lying? I'm just stating what I heard. If you're bold enough to do it, why fear a bit of gossip?" Juliette's words faltered, and she fell silent."That's enough. All of you, follow me to the office—and let your parents know they need to come in as well," Xavier spoke, stepping in. Once the group left, whispers filled the classroom immediately as soon as they were out of sight. "Wow, I didn't know Seraphina was that tough," someone murmured. Serena Zimmer scoffed. "Tough? She'll be the one crying soon enough." The tale rapidly circulated throughout Bloomington School, eventually arriving at Linara. A student came up to her. "Linara, did you hear? Your sister had a run-in with Alina and Juliette, and now they're all in the office." Worried, Linara responded, "Why must she be so reckless? I let it go when she hurt my leg at home—she's my sister. But at school? They won't just let this go." The student's eyes grew wide. "Wait, she hurt your leg?"Linara's eyes widened as she swiftly placed a hand over her mouth. "No, that wasn't what I meant to say." Just then, Abigail chimed in, "You don't need to defend her. We all heard it." "It wasn't intentional; it was an accident," Linara insisted, trying to smooth things over. Kelly's eyes gleamed with annoyance. "Why do you still defend her after all this? She deserves to be put in her place." Abigail added, "Exactly! Let's see how she manages since she has made so many enemies.” Meanwhile, Seraphina called Oberon under Xavier's supervision, but it was his secretary who picked up. After understanding the situation, the secretary entered Oberon's office and reported, "Mr. Whitewood, the school just called. They're requesting a parent to come in—Miss Seraphina has had... an incident." Oberon frowned, clearly annoyed. He thought, I'm swamped; I don't have time for this. He instructed, "Tell Mrs. Whitewood to handle it."
