Seraphina Is Back—and She’s Not Alone
"Good thing you thought of it—you're so considerate," Thomas said with a grin. Seraphina gently tugged him along as they headed towards the hospital. As they walked, the eyes of nearly everyone in the area turned to follow them. A young girl, staring curiously, asked in a high-pitched voice, "Mommy, why is that man wearing a basketball on his head?" The mother tried to hold back laughter and responded, "That's not a basketball, sweetheart. It's a helmet. I think his head is just a little too big for it, and now it's stuck. He can't take it off." Thomas stood there, caught in the wind, clearly flustered by the attention. Seraphina stifled a laugh, though it was hard to hold it in. She tried to maintain her composure, but she couldn't help herself, letting out a quiet chuckle, "Hahaha, what a big head!!"Thomas, though embarrassed, found himself laughing too. Seeing her so amused made him feel better. After all, as long as she was happy, that was what mattered. At the nurse's station, the on-duty nurse glanced at Thomas, not surprised at all. In fact, she was quite used to it. She turned to them and said, "Your head's too big and got stuck, right?" Seraphina was about to explain that it wasn't the case when the chubby nurse called out to the doctor on duty, "Dr. Anders, someone's head is stuck." That shout immediately drew all eyes to Thomas, and many people couldn't help but snicker. "His helmet is huge. How did his head even fit in there?" "Yeah, I'm really curious how he managed to get it on in the first place." "Guess he really is a big-headed guy." The chatter around them reached Thomas' ears, making the usually confident and handsome man feel both annoyed and embarrassed. Dr. Anders arrived, and Seraphina quickly said, "There's nothing wrong with his head. We just need to check his hand." The doctor looked at the helmet and then at the hand that was heavily bandaged. "Come with me. Since the head's fine, let's take the helmet off." "I'm sorry, but I can't take it off right now." At this point, Thomas would rather die than take off the helmet. Once it was removed, his legendary image would be ruined forever. Dr. Anders didn't insist and began to treat his wound. Just as they were finishing up, Michael and the others arrived. When they saw Thomas sitting there wearing a helmet, they couldn't help but laugh. Usually, Thomas was very particular about his image—there was no way he'd walk around in public with something like that on. He would definitely explode in anger. He might not care about his image when acting, but in real life, he couldn't tolerate even the slightest mistake or anything inappropriate. Michael and the others laughed joyfully, but suddenly, they felt a chill at the back of their necks. They turned to look at Thomas and saw him giving them a death stare from behind the helmet. The three of them immediately shut up, afraid to laugh any further. At that moment, Michael's phone rang. He stepped outside to take the call, and when he came back, his face was serious. "Michael, what's going on?" "Lily has been attacked. Zane stabbed her." "What?" The others were shocked, completely taken aback. None of them had been at the scene earlier, and as they made their way to the hospital, they hadn't seen what had happened. Hearing the news now was truly shocking. "Wasn't he restrained?" Lily's assistant asked, puzzled. "He broke free from his restraints, and when Lily happened to be nearby, he attacked her and ran off. Zane is crazy!" No one had expected something like this to happen. A crew member had sent two main leads to the hospital. The entire production was now in chaos. "Is it serious?" Seraphina asked. "It's quite serious. The knife was lodged in her abdomen, but we still don't know the full extent of the damage." Just as they were speaking, the sound of an ambulance siren could be heard outside.
