Seraphina Is Back—and She’s Not Alone

Chapter 102 Apology

The guide led Bryan and his gang into the alley. Someone was standing in the center of the alley, grinning kindly at them as though she had been there for a while. The group's expressions showed a tinge of surprise and mild shock. After giving Bryan, who was leading the way, a glance, Seraphina turned to proceed. "Stop!" Bryan yelled sharply. Ignoring him, Seraphina kept moving farther down the alley. "It's too late to escape now." From Bryan's perspective, it was obvious that she was trying to get away. Seraphina ignored him and carried on moving forward. In the middle of the alley, Bryan and his group immediately caught up and blocked her. Bryan noticed that she seemed to be looking for a way out. He gestured to two of his guys, who were staring at her with a smug, cocky expression, to block the only entrance. "Are you attempting to flee? We'll see where you can flee to." Bryan mocked Seraphina without restraint while his guys laughed loudly behind him. Seraphina looked away, still cool and collected. "Yes, it's a good place," she remarked, casting a chilly glance at the haughty Bryan. "There is nowhere to flee to." Although the statements made sense, they sounded odd, as if they were the ones being besieged. "During my absence, you have been bullying Linara daily by relying on your identity, haven't you?" Bryan enquired. "You don't have to acknowledge it, of course. I just have one reason for being here today." "What is it?" With ease, Seraphina asked. "My request is straightforward in light of Linara. Simply get down on your knees, give Linara an apology, slap yourself, and swear to give her what she wants going forward. You can never refuse her. You can't take something away from her when she wants it. The issue will be deemed resolved if you take this action. If not..." In preparation for filming the event, one of the men pulled a video camera from the bag. "Is not?" Bryan squinted his eyes and said coldly, "If not, you won't be able to leave standing today. I, Bryan, don't have a rule against hitting women." He would not be lenient toward anyone who mistreated her favorite woman even if he was looking at a highly attractive woman. "Is that all?" Seraphina laughed. Bryan might have felt agitated by her lighthearted and informal tone as well as her unconcerned smile. "Grab her and make her kneel," Bryan ordered. He did not have to beat a woman up himself. His men would do it for him. While the others watched and someone set up a video camera to capture the action, two men moved forward. Bryan intended to give Linara that video as a present. In an attempt to swiftly get control of Seraphina, the two young men—one on the left and one on the right—reach out to seize her. One of them was about to reach out when a force sprang from his arm and two pale, delicate hands materialized on his wrist. Someone threw him in his moment of uncertainty, and he and the other young man fell to the ground after meeting head-on. Ouch! The two men groaned in pain. Amidst vertigo, a shadowy cloud emerged above their heads, and a big wooden box emerged. With a loud bang, it crashed down hard on both of them, breaking and bleeding their heads as they screamed in anguish. They were doomed. That scene took only a short while. The two young men were upset in that one round. Behind him, Bryan and his two men were in disbelief.
