The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
Third-person POV: After learning last night that Greywolf had entered Starlance City, Thora didn't give it much thought. This type of international mercenary group causing trouble would naturally be handled by the Astralis Empire's official forces and military department. It wasn't her problem to worry about. The next day, she got up early as usual to run to the academy. The moment she opened her door, she saw Felix waiting outside her room. "Felix?" Felix's handsome face broke into a smile. "Morning, Thora." Suddenly, he leaned close to Thora like a spy and reported on the household situation."Oh yeah, Dad seemed to have received some kind of mission. He left super early this morning before dawn. Hazel already headed out to school before you came out too." Thora's heart stirred. Norman was an active-duty colonel in the Astralis Empire. If the military department needed to deal with the Greywolf mercenary group, calling him in for the mission made perfect sense. "Thora, I'm heading downstairs to wait for you." Going to school with Thora every day was gradually becoming Felix's habit. Thora nodded. "Go ahead." Felix responded and ran downstairs. Hearing Felix's running footsteps, her ears twitched. Huh? His training weights had actually increased. That kid was pretty motivated. Nice! Thora then turned her gaze to the silver bracelet on her wrist. The bracelet was simple and elegant. You couldn't tell that it was a weapon. Its presence was so subtle that even Felix hadn't noticed it. She had to admit, Darius really was a genius. No wonder he'd single-handedly secured that military contract and made everyone in the Astralis Empire's political, military, and business circles flock to him. Today Thora and Felix ran to school as usual. Both had increased their training weights compared to before, but their speed hadn't slowed down at all. As Thora ran, her eyes kept scanning the surroundings, trying to test the detection range of the Sentinel System. "Thora, what are you looking at?""Nothing." she replied. ... Out beyond Blue Star, a satellite slowly rotated, transmitting the captured images in real-time to the military department's Sentinel System. At the same time, at Darius's private villa, Violet Estate. "Alpha, Greywolf's most recent contact was with the Rexford Empire's military department. Initial assessment is that Greywolf was hired by the Rexford Empire to carry out a terrorist attack on the Astralis Empire." Carl reported respectfully. "The military department has fully authorized Mr. Stanton to handle this matter. All departments are also on full standby." Darius spoke slowly. "Six months ago, the Rexford Empire had an open territorial dispute with the Astralis Empire." One sentence made the motive crystal clear. "Alpha, then should we ... " Carl's tone was questioning. Darius's gaze turned cold, though his lips curved up with a lethal edge. "Since they're here, as the host, how can we not send a gift? Otherwise, they'll really think the Astralis Empire is their backyard where they can come and go as they please?" ... At the same time, inside the Astralis Imperial Army Department Command Center, they were also rapidly deploying countermeasures against Greywolf. "Given Greywolf's clean and efficient style, once they've entered Starlance City, they definitely won't hesitate. They'll move on their target very quickly." Hugo analyzed. "Right now, our top priority is to confirm their objective and direction of action. Expand the Sentinel System's search range. Don't let any suspicious individuals slip through." Hugo ordered."Yes, sir!" The command center personnel shouted. "Chief Stanton, we've intercepted the latest airborne information code transmitted from the overseas Rexford Empire Military Department." The technician stationed at the computer immediately reported. "Decrypt it immediately!" Hugo commanded, then suddenly added, "Send this information to Alpha Darius right away." Although the military's technical department had plenty of talented people, Hugo was well aware that Darius's research team had cracked the Rexford Empire's encryption system three years ago. When it came to familiarity with Rexford's information codes, no one in the entire Astralis Empire was more professional than them. "Yes, Chief Stanton!"
