The Apocalypse Wolf Queen

Chapter 398 Blue Star Research Institute

"Blue Star Research Institute," Darius answered without hesitation. The Blue Star Research Institute, officially called the Blue Star Federal Research Institute, was known only to top scientists and leaders. It gathered the best experts from every field, and like the Blue Star Military Academy, it existed almost like its own empire. Preston nodded. "That's right. Even though that institute is similar to Blue Star Military Academy, for some reason, it's completely opposed to it." Darius sneered. "In fact, they've already started human experiments in secret. Those artificial werewolf soldiers are much stronger than regular soldiers." Preston looked surprised. "Are you serious?" Darius's lips curved slightly. "I've seen it with Thora myself. If you formed a whole army from them, they'd be stronger than any regular military in the empire." Preston's face darkened. "Ever since ability users appeared, artificial werewolf have become legally recognized. The Blue Star Accord doesn't explicitly mention them, but every major empire has quietly accepted it. It just hasn't appeared openly before. But if a large group of these soldiers really exists—then with proof, any powerful nation could demand action." Darius didn't seem very interested in the matter. Preston realized he'd gotten off track and brought the conversation back. "For years, the Blue Star Research Institute has focused on genetic research. Beyond that, they've also studied ability users. And in both areas, the most respected scholar is Professor Samuel Blake. That's why they've been searching for him all these years. But more importantly, their real goal is to get his genes." Hearing that, Darius remembered what Yereah had told him before. "Thora's DNA is very different from a normal person's. It's so perfect, it's almost abnormal. Remember when I tested her body before? She has incredible power. And that power keeps awakening as she moves. "Only an artificial werewolf could reach that level..." Something vague was starting to surface. Preston glanced at Darius, who had fallen into thought, and continued, "But Samuel has mostly been forgotten. He's like a taboo. Ever since he disappeared, no one wanted him to show up again. A person like him, if used by any race or nation, could be a disaster. But even so, there are still many who want to find him." Darius frowned. "So, he's connected to the Greens?" Preston nodded. "Some say that 18 years ago, Samuel had contact with General Green. But no one knows the details. "Though a very secret message did leak out—Samuel seems to have left something behind at the Greens. Maybe it's connected to the secrets of ability users, or maybe it's something about him personally."Darius clasped his hands in front of him, his gaze cold. "So that's why the Blue Star Research Institute has been keeping an eye on the Greens. But this can't alert too many people and certainly can't let those who revere Professor Blake know, right?" Preston nodded. "That's the initial read. But whether there's more behind the scenes, we don't know." Samuel was a remarkable man. He could erase all his records from the world, leaving only what he wanted others to know. "Your grand-uncle noticed someone was watching General Green and worried they might act against him. That's why he brought him over. Of course, that isn't the only reason." Darius said lightly, "Grand-uncle probably wants to know what's really going on too." Preston smiled. "Even you would do the same. After all, your grand-uncle's position isn't easy to hold." Darius just curved his lips slightly and said nothing."This time you're back, if you have enough time, pay a visit to your grand-uncle," Preston said calmly. He knew Darius wouldn't be in Astralis for long this trip. He knew his son well. Expecting him to wait for his mate in Astralis for years? Not going to happen. Darius nodded. "I will." "Besides visiting your grand-uncle, I should also see General Green," Darius added, his eyes darkening slightly, a hint of cold in his tone. Preston smiled and took a sip of water. "If there's anything you need me to help with, don't hesitate. Just tell me." Just as he was about to leave, Darius suddenly remembered something. He asked, "Dad, do you know where I could find information on Samuel?" Preston raised an eyebrow. "Yes. And it's the only place in the world where you can access his records—the Blue Star Military Academy."
