The Apocalypse Wolf Queen

Chapter 387 Punishment

The teacher stared at Thora, his voice full of authority. "Is what he said true?" Thora stepped out of the crowd. The upperclassman who had just fought her instinctively stepped aside. The girl stood still and calmly replied, "Yes." Mona's eyes were anxious, her pink lips pressed tight. The teacher's gaze was icy. "You've got some nerve! First day of class and you're already causing trouble with the freshmen? This is Blue Star Military Academy, not your personal playground!" He shouted sharply and scanned the crowd warningly. "Anyone who joined the fight today will get a demerit—whether you're freshmen or upperclassmen! The one who started it gets double!" "You—carry 40 pounds and run 50 laps around the main training field. Don't eat until it's done. Got it?!"The last sentence was aimed straight at Thora. She frowned slightly but didn't answer or argue. Mona wanted to step forward and say something, but a freshman behind her held her back. Speaking up now would only make things worse, especially for Thora. This teacher was clearly tough. As soon as the teacher finished speaking, several soldiers in different uniforms came in and took Thora away. Thora glanced at them. They were the same kind of soldiers she had seen on the ship before—Blue Star Military Academy's own armed force. She walked a couple of steps, then suddenly stopped. Turning back to face all the first-year students on the training field, she said calmly, "If you're weak, train more." Then she turned and left. But that one sentence completely enraged the upperclassmen. If the teacher hadn't been there, they would have rushed over to beat her! A freshman dared to call them weak? Outrageous! Everyone swallowed their anger, silently swearing that next time, they would make her pay. The teacher, however, added coldly, "She's right. If you're weak, you should train more. You all got beaten by one freshman like that? After all this time at the Combat Institute, is that all you've learned?! No improvement at all!" All the students were so scared they didn't dare breathe. Especially the upperclassmen who had just been beaten by Thora with no chance to fight back—they lowered their heads even more. The teacher looked at Graham, whose face was swollen and blistered, clearly in pain, and scolded, "Why are you still standing there?! Take him to the infirmary, now!""Yes, sir!" Only then did everyone realize Graham's face had been seriously burned. They quickly lifted him and ran toward the infirmary. "The rest of you, push-ups right now until today's class is over!" "Yes, sir!" Everyone immediately stood at attention and snapped into perfect military posture. After handling this, the teacher gave them a warning glance before turning to leave. He still had to report today's events to the dean. This year's freshmen were a bit too bold. Meanwhile, Thora was taken by the soldiers to the academy's largest training field. The soldiers strapped 40 pounds of weighted gear onto her and stood nearby to watch, their faces serious. Running with that amount of weight wasn't a challenge for Thora. The only issue was that this training field was busy. Students and teachers from all departments often passed by. As soon as they saw soldiers supervising, they knew someone was getting punished again. "Looks like a freshman from the Combat Institute." "Only their institute has so much trouble. Their grades are bottom of the whole academy. I bet there aren't even many of them in the top two hundred overall, right." "Just look at the kind of people their institute accepts. See? A freshman gets punished on the very first day." "Yeah, that's true." Even though they were far away, Thora's hearing was far better than normal. She heard every word clearly. She only gave a cold smile and kept running. Inside her mind, Amie flicked her tail in anger. "That guy started it first! We were just standing up for what was right! Why are we the ones being punished?" Through their mind-link, Thora replied, "I was the one who threw the first punch." She always followed reason. If you strike first, you accept the punishment. She didn't think the teacher handled it the wrong way. But when she left and saw the clear desire for revenge in the upperclassmen's eyes, she felt she had gone too easy on them. These people had trained at the Combat Institute for a long time. Their bodies were much tougher now. Next time, she could use a bit more force. When Amie sensed Thora's thoughts, she got excited at once. "Next time let me out! If they dare cause trouble again, I'll beat them until they won't even be able to stand!" "Okay," Thora replied calmly.
