The Apocalypse Wolf Queen
Thora's POV: I knew the name of the man who saved me, but even after searching through original Thora's memories, I couldn't find a single thing about this man named Darius Blackwood. Still, judging from the way Caleb and the others treated him, and the powerful aura of his men, it was clear that he was no ordinary guy. But with the situation I was in now, the last thing I wanted was to get mixed up with a bigshot like him. It would just be too much trouble. I already had more than enough problems on my plate. When I got back to Class F, I glanced at Luke, who was totally absorbed in his code.My understanding of this world was still way too shallow. Even with original Thora's memories, I could barely scratch the surface of what was really going on. If I wanted to gain a foothold and grow stronger, I needed to learn everything there was to know. I needed intel. And Luke, who was great with code, was basically my best shot at getting it ... Just then, the class bell rang, snapping me out of my thoughts. Unlike the other students who were slacking off and doing their own thing, I listened carefully as the teacher explained the divisions of power among the various werewolf empires and the use of wolf power. To really understand this world, I had to start by gathering every bit of information I could from these basic classes. ...As the final class bell rang, my first day of school in this world was officially over. As soon as I stepped out of the gates, I spotted a flashy car parked in a VIP spot, standing out among the other expensive rides. A crowd of students stood off at a distance, gossiping, but no one dared to go near. But what really had everyone worked up wasn't the car—it was the man leaning against it. Darius was there, casually propped up against the car, a cigarette dangling between his fingers. As he exhaled, a cloud of smoke swirled around his handsome, mysterious face. The second he saw me, he stood up straight, put out his cigarette, and started heading my way. I dodged his gaze and automatically searched for Felix. If I could catch a ride with him, that would be great. If not, running home would at least give me some exercise. As for Darius, he had said he'd pick me up, but I never agreed to that. Besides, I had no clue what this guy was really up to ... Suddenly, a shadow towered over me. "Are you looking for me?" I looked up, caught sight of Darius's striking features, and quickly looked away. "No." Felix was nowhere in sight, so I tightened my grip on my backpack and got ready to run home. "So what are you doing, then?" "Preparing to go home." Darius spoke up, commanding as always. "Get in the car.""For what?" I looked up at him, confused. "To take you home," Darius answered smoothly. "No thanks. I can get home by myself." I frowned and turned him down again. Just as I was about to dash past him, the world spun around me. Before I knew it, Darius had hoisted me over his shoulder and was carrying me toward his luxury car. Vroom— Blood rushed to my head all at once. "Darius! What are you doing?" This was the first time since my rebirth that I completely lost my cool. "Taking you home." He grinned. "Or you can come to my place if you'd rather not go home."I struggled and fought back in anger, but I couldn't budge him at all. Amie was still asleep from weakness, and this new body was nowhere near back to full strength. Against Darius's overwhelming power, I didn't stand a chance. All I could do was let him carry me off like this. Aside from being mad, I just felt completely humiliated. I used to be a female Alpha Commander in the apocalypse! I was always the one pinning people down, not the one getting dragged off like this! I hadn't even been struggling for two seconds when he stuffed me in the back seat ... His men shut the door fast, leaving me no time to resist. Then the black luxury car pulled away. I glared at the man beside me through gritted teeth. "Darius!"If I weren't so much weaker than him right now, I'd have knocked him flat! But he just acted like he didn't even notice I was mad. He reached out with a grin to pinch my face. "Compared to how lifeless you were before, you look a lot livelier when you're angry." I slapped his hand away and narrowed my eyes coldly. "Touch me again and I'll kill you."
