When the Galaxy Wept
Her hands, which were holding Emerald down, loosened as she straightened up her body to fight with Yearwood! In the moonlight, the two were quickly fighting with each other at a speed that Emerald was only able to see their shadows. She saw Yearwood’s big moves and the princess’ swift and fierce figure. But the princess soon gained the upper hand! Emerald hears a body hitting the ground and Yearwood’s groan. Finally, the princess hit the center of Yearwood’s chest, which made him tumble to about a meter away from Emerald. He struggled but was unable to get up anymore. The smile had disappeared from the princess’ pretty face. Yelling, she lifted both of her hands, ready to hit them both even though she was standing more than ten meters away. Yearwood rolled over and jumped onto Emerald with his last strength in the blink of an eye.Yearwood’s heavy body was covering hers. Suddenly, his body stiffened, his eyes widened, and blood came flowing out of his mouth as if he had been hit heavily. Emerald held his paralyzing body, feeling completely helpless. Suddenly, a beam of silver light flashed by. Several strong lines of fire fell from the sky like gold lightning, lighting up the darkness of the night instantly! Cheetahs with machine guns from the mercenaries were shooting from the sky, with a target directly on the ground straight after space leaping. Yearwood held Emerald tightly with his almost lifeless body. She looked up and saw the princess dodging rounds of bullets with lightning speed like a white dragon. “Blood hawks! Take off!” She shouted fiercely, with no place to hide anymore as thousands of bullets targeted her. What followed was more than Emerald’s wildest imagination. A loud noise was heard, followed by a shooting that could shake the sky! Emerald understood that this meant that Patrick would not give the princess a chance to fight back. The space fortress and the Cheetahs leaped directly to the near ground and immediately launched bombs to smash the blood hawks and shoot down the soldiers, followed by quick landing and invasion of the whole country in lightning speed! As expected, only a couple of blood hawks, with damaged bodies, took off with stagger but soon were shot down by the firepower in the sky! Along with the blood hawks, the weirdly strong princess was seriously hurt. The mercenaries, who had landed by now, hid in dark corners to shoot the princess and succeeded. The thin princess swayed and then suddenly fell. Instantly, the mercenaries rushed out of the corner and pulled her injured body up from the ground. She was forced to kneel with tens of guns pointing at her. A mercenary cursed, “Damn! This woman is tough, still not dead after being shot several times.” “You’ll pay for this....” The princess said faintly in the wind, with long, messy hair covering her face. The mercenary couldn’t understand her language and just cursed something in a low voice. He then hit heavily on the back of her head, which made her fall to the ground unconscious, with no signs of whether she was alive or dead. Several mercenaries walked to Emerald and dragged Yearwood off her. Yearwood was also forced to kneel down beside Emerald with guns pointing at him. When the mercenaries looked at him in disdain, he took off his cloak with difficulty and threw it on Emerald to cover her bruised body. The mercenaries kicked him heavily after this. Then it was all silent again. Emerald could only hear the soft footsteps of the soldiers and the sounds of guns and bombs here and there. Finally, Emerald saw a pair of bright black boots in front of her. The shadow of a tall man blocked the light over her head. “Stubborn woman...” He sighed and held her by the waist with one hand to lift her up. She grunted from the pain in her shank, which was getting sharper. Finally, Patrick stopped and naturally picked her up in his arms as if he was holding a thin child. Tears were about to roll out of her eyes. She had threatened him with nuclear bombs because she thought this was the Earth. Her loyalty to her motherland had forced her to betray him, but he seemed understanding and said he would forgive her this time. She was one of his toys, but she had needed his help at last. It turned out that his arms were the safest, most reassuring place in the world. She felt so safe that she gave up struggling and fell asleep in his arms. “Who did this?” He said in a low voice, his eyes glancing at the dark purple bruises all over her body. There was no smile on his handsome face. He looked around and saw Yearwood, “He?” he asked. Breathing heavily from pain, Emerald suddenly was awake when she heard the inquiry. “He didn’t do anything to me...” She grabbed his collar softly, “My lord, he could work for....” But Patrick didn’t listen to her at all. The messy clothes and the sensual smell on their body had already explained everything. He smiled coldly and pulled out his gun from his waist, shooting many times directly at Yearwood. Yearwood, who was seriously injured, fell onto the ground without a groan. The mercenaries dragged his body away immediately. Emerald was speechless. Patrick didn’t pay attention to her shock and pulled out the cloak which belonged to another man and took a clean military uniform to cover her body. Then he marched to the Cheetah that was parked near them. When he passed by the princess, who was still in a coma, he ordered without looking at her to “Take her away!” Like a fireball with the endless power to burn, an orange star gradually radiated its power. Then, a blue planet orbited the star quietly, more precisely than all the premium clocks. With the planetary rotation, the vast land embraced against the splendid sunlight. Looking from space, the planet was half dark, and the other half was illuminated, just like the human on that planet, fragile yet strange. Patrick diverted his attention from outside the window to the woman on the bed.
