When the Galaxy Wept

Chapter 60 Destroy The Invaders

Did her wakeup have any connection with the mysterious fighters? Was there a high-level civilization here from before? The princess walked straight to them and stopped directly in front of Yearwood. Then she raised her head. “No one can destroy my world.” Her voice was clear and sweet, and her cold, casual tone made them shiver. There was a weird expression on her pretty face. She seemed cold and indifferent, but her black eyes were unusually bright, shining with a sense of excitement. Then, she suddenly turned around and talked to Emerald through the glass window of the Cheetah. Emerald could hear her voice clearly through the bulletproof glass. “Emerald Wilson, thank you for everything you did to protect this world.” They looked at each other quietly, and the princess moved her eyes with a smile. She looked up at the sky quietly, as if she was looking through the atmospheric layer at the whole universe. “Your Highness!” Thousands of people said in surprise, kneeling down with their heads in their chests. Yearwood looked at the princess from a distance and asked. “Your Highness, do you know where these planes come from?” The princess didn’t even look at them or answer Yearwood. Instead, she seemed to have entered her own world and started smiling. “I don’t like being disturbed.” She said lightly, but everyone could hear her clearly,” Destroy those invaders, Blood Hawks.” When the princess rose up from the palace, Emerald felt that her personality had changed from the first moment. She was not the princess who seemed to be upright and wise on the surface and cruel and paranoid deep inside. Her transcendent eyes and arrogant tone couldn’t be faked. It seemed she had changed into another person. What was more, the real princess would never have thanked Emerald for saving the “world.” She had said “world.” After passing out from the grenades and being buried under the collapsing palace, and the bombardment of the Cheetahs in the sky, she seemed to have come back to life, awakened after a long sleep just like those blood hawks. She had ordered, “Destroy the invaders, blood hawk.” Those extremely powerful drones were blood hawks, and the princess had called the mercenaries “invaders” instead of monsters or enemies. Invaders. But Emerald didn’t have time to think about it further because those blood hawks suddenly turned upside down and flew rapidly like an arrow to the space fortress with sharp noises as if they had understood the princess’ order. Patrick Lewis! Emerald’s heart started to beat faster. The Kung Fu fighters and soldiers, all kneeling on the ground, were also astonished about what was happening and did nothing but stare at the blood hawks. They were not excited that their princess suddenly led a flock of planes to attack the enemy. They just widened their eyes and looked at the sky in surprise and fear. This was the bravest thrust Emerald had ever seen, and it was also the first major combat she witnessed during a peaceful time. Harrison Gate’s space fortress, which was under the control of Patrick, was always the overlord of the space. No one could ignore it, and no one dared to attack it directly from the front. However, the blood hawks went straight above the space fortress, quickly launching unlimited silver shells directly at it. The heavy space fortress was hit. The fire looked like lots of blooming flowers on the space fortress. Emerald watched as the explosions made the space fortress tremble and sway. She imagined how the people in it were stumbling and falling, getting hurt by the process. With its huge and heavy body, the space fortress couldn’t avoid the enemy’s attack no matter how it fought back. Emerald thought that Patrick and Harrison would run away by leaping, but they took at least twenty seconds to turn on the FTL engine. Could they hold on long enough to leap in this powerful strike? Just when the people on the ground heaved a sigh of surprise for the vigorous battle in the sky, black Cheetahs were flying out of the underbelly of the fortress one after another. The mercenaries were fighting back! There was too little space inside the atmospheric layer to utilize any formation or strategy. The fighters of both sides were in a commotion, and almost every fighter was battling alone. The battlefield had expanded over the sky as far as the human eye could see. The Cheetahs were like black shooting stars, flying through the sky with a sharp scream. Occasionally they managed their shells to hit accurately on a blood hawk among the dense firepower. The blood hawk didn’t give up even though they were less accurate and agile moves than the Cheetahs. Their advantage was that they had a body two times bigger than the Cheetahs, could hold on to the flight track after two hits, and could still turn back to shoot down the attacking Cheetah. They seemed not to be afraid of death. The Cheetahs had to avoid the bombs and crashing into other planes in the melee, but the blood hawks didn’t care about it. Even though they had to crash onto the fortress to shoot down a Cheetah, they didn’t hesitate to do it. This fearless fighting strategy gave the blood hawks the upper hand after the first round of attack. “Destroy them!” The princess’ voice was heard throughout the sky. Those sullen blood hawks suddenly sped up simultaneously and rushed to the space fortress as if they had consumed a stimulant. At this moment, the Cheetahs turned around and flew directly to the deck of the belly of the space fortress. The Cheetahs had retreated completely in a second. At the same time, the blood hawks were shooting their second round of shells of the blood hawks and then gathered in one direction to hit the space fortress… A strong silver light finally showed up, and the bruised space fortress avoided the deadly blow from the blood hawks with a space leap! The whole combat process had lasted less than two minutes. Eight Cheetahs and four blood hawks were shot down, and the space fortress was seriously damaged but had managed to escape at the last moment successfully.
