When the Galaxy Wept
Evan suddenly grabbed her face and pinched her chin. His head was an inch away from her, and he said coldly, “Wake up the stones, or I’ll kill you.” Emerald still wouldn’t move. Evan’s eyes became cold. “Put the spacesuit on her and push her to the gate.” The gate suddenly opened, and the cabin lost air pressure. Emerald suddenly floated in the air. Although she was tied to a safety rope, she still didn’t feel good floating with a big belly. Emerald floated to the ceiling of the cabin, and she felt that her belly started to ache. She started to sweat. Evan said in his helmet, “Have you thought clearly?”She was silent, biting her lower lip. No. This was wrong. Evan Silas wouldn’t kill her in this way. If he did this for the Stonehenge, he didn’t need to lock her in the room and hold her at night. He was threatening her, and she had to hold on. No matter what bad things he wanted to do, she couldn’t betray the Stonehenge. “Ha.” Evan suddenly laughed. Emerald faced the boundless space. Suddenly she felt something and turned around. It was the stone man! Space was like a black sea. The stones formed a huge pillar a hundred kilometers away from them, and it was slowly drifting to them.It wanted to save her! The rope around Emerald’s body suddenly started to pull her, and Emerald couldn’t control it and quickly moved back. The gate of the cabin suddenly closed, and Emerald almost bumped into the man’s arms. He held her and put her on the seat. Once Emerald found the balance, she rushed to the glass cabin. The stone seemed to know her situation and moved to her stable. Evan started to smile. Emerald immediately grabbed the sensor on the ground and shouted, “Don’t come here!” It was too late! Two black Vipers flew to the center of the Stonehenge, instead of the stone pillar, as fast as lightning. The fierce gunfire was aimed at one of the stones. Under the cover of the gunfire, several machine men opened the cabin gate quickly and put something on that stone. Then they went back to the Vipers, which leaped away immediately. Emerald was astonished. What did they want to do? Bombs! They buried bombs in that stone! A pillar of smoke and fire suddenly rose from the Stonehenge. Crushed gravel fell on other stones like raindrops and made lots of gaps on the ground. But Emerald couldn’t understand what the point was of blowing up one stone since there were thousands of them! She suddenly felt ominous and looked at Evan Silas. Evan looked at the smoke coldly. Emerald looked at the stone again, and she was stunned. It stopped. The stone pillar didn’t move anymore as if it was spelled, and it stopped tens of kilometers away from the warship. It seemed to lose its life. “What happened?” Emerald asked in a trembling voice. Evan was still staring at the Stonehenge, smiling. “The bigger the machine man is, the more it depends on the chip.” Evan looked at the stones in contempt, “We only need to destroy the chip to kill it. When it moves, we can scan the location of the chip. There is a core chip for this machine men group.” Emerald couldn’t believe what she heard. Machine men? “What are you talking about? How can the stone man be a machine man?” Evan suddenly looked at her, “I have never seen a woman like you before. If you want to survive, why are you willing to die for a bunch of ancient, huge machine men with low intelligence?” Emerald’s heart was aching. She grabbed his suit and said angrily, “Have you killed it?” Evan looked at her hands which were seizing his collar. “Yes. There won’t be ‘stone man’ anymore.” He threw away Emerald’s hands and walked to the pilot in front of him, “Let’s go!” Emerald fell into the chair. The Stonehenge was soon left behind by the planes. She covered her face and started crying. Evan turned around and saw her crying. She was silent, but she made him feel depressed and sad, making him anxious. “Stop crying,” Evan shouted. Emerald ignored him. She sniffled and looked at the dead Stonehenge silently. No one had ever disobeyed his order before. He was angry and just wanted to make her stop crying. Maybe because he was driven by the nature of Heath Ledger’s body, he grabbed Emerald’s face and kissed her trembling lips. **** Emerald sat on a big, wood stool with no emotions on her face. Standing opposite her and drinking soup, Evan Silas looked at her and smiled. “You don’t like my kisses, do you?” He put down the bowl and stared at her blushing face. Emerald didn’t speak. After the stone man was killed, she lost control for a while. Then she became calm after Evan kissed her and brought her back to the ground. They had lost many things, including the stone man, so she had to live on and give birth to the baby. She didn’t know whether she would be able to stand Evan Silas’ touch. Maybe she would rather kill herself because she was Patrick’s woman. If she couldn’t be his woman, she would rather die. Evan kept staring at her face. Although she didn’t say anything, her resolute look showed her attitude. Evan wasn’t angry. In fact, he had been in a good mood since they came back from the Stonehenge. “Lift your head.” He ordered. Emerald thought that he wanted to kiss her again. She put her hands on her stomach and lifted her head stiffly despite the feeling of resistance and sickness. Evan stood up and walked to her chair. He pressed his arms against the table and encircled her. Emerald looked at the other side. The cold breath was sprayed on her, and Evan gently bit her soft neck. Emerald felt a sting on her neck and sensed the smell of the blood. He buried his head in her shoulder pit and slowly sucked her blood. It was itchy and not very painful, but Emerald didn’t stop him. But Evan Silas felt pleased when sucking her blood. He pressed on Emerald’s wound and started licking her neck. Emerald felt sick and wanted to dodge him, but he held her tightly in his arms. Emerald suddenly found out that she had fallen in love with Patrick a long time ago.
