When the Galaxy Wept

Chapter 141 Commander Evan Silas

Kahlil Silas, who was Calman Henry, took a stack of agreements and gave them to Patrick as if he didn’t see how angry and surprised the people behind Patrick were. “I believe you have read the colonization terms carefully before.” He turned to that machine man, “Commander, we will sign when everybody’s here.” Patrick took the agreements and read them, which were quite simple. Humans must accept the machine man as their ruler and work and fight for the machine man without conditions. They also had to exploit resources, work, and fight with other species. Under these responsibilities, humans could have food, accept health care, and have the right to reproduce as the machine man arranged. These terms were quite stiff. Apparently, human was just a species that was conquered in the machine man’s eyes. They treated humans as they treated tools and machines.Patrick looked at Kahlil, but Kahlil didn’t look at him and said to the machine guard, “Are they here yet?” Soon, the president of the Alliance and Marshall Taron, and others were pressed into the room. Many of them knew Calman Henry and shouted out. But they fell into silence after they read the colonization terms. Then they heard clear footsteps again. A tall and slim figure followed the guards and walked in, who was the Zerg Queen Veronica. Her face was cold, and she didn’t greet anybody and just stood in the corner. The rulers in Galaxy Eternity had gathered here. The process of signing the agreements was short, but when Patrick got the paper and the pen, all he could think about was the miserable look on Emerald’s face. He was in more pain than ever. If he signed this, thousands of mercenaries, including his child who was not born yet, would become the slaves of the machine man. Would she be disappointed when she knew her husband could do nothing about this today? He would never give in. He didn’t need to prove his will with his words. Then he took the pen and signed his name quickly. “I’m happy that we can end this war in this pleasant way.” Kahlil Silas glanced at the people, “You could go back to your warship. Disarm and go back to the ground before 12 o’clock tonight. The machine army will start to make a census of the people on the ground tomorrow. Please keep your soldiers in order and accept all the arrangements of the machine army.” The humans didn’t expect that they could walk out of this place safely and started to go after being silent for a while. “Wait.” The machine Commander suddenly said, his voice was low, which was like a grown-up man’s voice, and even richer and more magnetic than most people. The humans looked back and saw that the machine man moved his slim legs and walked to Marshall Taron Locke. “Marshall Locke?” He said, “I’m Commander Evan Silas.” Kahlil was surprised. He didn’t expect that Evan Silas would recognize Taron Locke and didn’t know why Evan let him take charge of the surrender and suddenly stopped the humans. He felt nervous and couldn’t help but look at Patrick and find out that Patrick was staring at him. He felt that his heart was suddenly stung and moved away from his eyes as if nothing had happened. “I am Taron Lock.” He said in a muffled voice, “What do you want?” He was a little bit aggressive. This old Marshall had experienced many wars in his life, and he was not afraid of death at all at his age. “You were very brave to launch a counterattack and destroy one of my space fortresses at the cost of two of your fortresses.” Evan Silas said slowly. Taron glared at him, “However, I lost to you.” Evan’s red eyes suddenly became dark, “My father gave me that fortress, and you have to pay for this.” Just then, a part of a blade cut through Taron’s back! All the people were astonished and furious. Patrick rushed to hold Taron, who was going to fall. Taron’s face was contorted because of pain. He breathed heavily and grabbed Patrick’s hands with all his strength. When he turned his head to look at Patrick, he stopped breathing. “I’ll kill you!” An officer of the Alliance jumped on Evan Silas. However, Evan didn’t need to dodge him. He only raised his right arm to point at that officer and made that angry officer stop moving. It was a gun. His right arm was made of liquid metal, which turned into a submachine gun in a second and pointed at the officer’s head. “Back down!” He shouted coldly, and someone immediately dragged that officer back. “Commander!” Kahlil was also surprised by the sudden accident, “They have already surrendered!” Evan’s head turned to him coldly, “What’s the problem? It’s not the first time for you to be the vanguard. In the colonization terms, don’t you remember Article One that the machine man can perform all our rights in the colonial district? Or is it because you have stayed with humans for too long that you forget your own species and your loyalty?” Kahlil opened his mouth but couldn’t say a word. Evan walked to the Zerg Queen. Veronica looked calm, but she was still surprised. The Zergs didn’t participate in the war, so why did the machine man choose her? “I like Zergs.” Out of everyone’s expectation, Evan smiled, “Zergs were much stronger than humans, and they had amazing reproductive capacity.” “I’m flattered.” Veronica was not very happy about Evan’s words. She actually felt more anxious. Not surprisingly, Evan talked again, “The Zergs are also my favorite pets. Take her to the room next to mine and put her into the cage of my pets.” Immediately, two machine guards came forward to take Veronica. The captain of Veronica’s guards screamed painfully, but Veronica raised her hand to stop him. She looked around silently and followed the machine guards. In the past few minutes, out of the three most important persons in Galaxy Eternity, one was killed, and one was imprisoned. All the people understood what Evan was doing. He wanted to frighten the humans and kill their leaders so that they had no chance of a counterattack. The president of Galaxy Eternity was now trembling out of fear, but Evan didn’t walk to him but to Patrick. “And you, Patrick Lewis. You have destroyed hundreds of my fighters.” He looked at Patrick, who was as tall as him, “And you killed Saul Silas. You are the one who should die first.”
