After everything was done, naturally, Andy wanted to say something to apologize or whatnot. So, Christopher stood to the side and waited. When Andy’s speech was over, only then did he bring Christopher to meet Kevin. Christopher followed Andy to a room that was also luxuriously decorated. The latter knocked gently on the door three times, then waited for Kevin’s servant to come and open the door. Creak! Right after that, a woman wearing light green clothes with a white apron wrapped around her waist appeared before them. When she saw Andy, the woman hurriedly bowed and spoke. “Hello, President Dune. Old Mr. Dune just woke up. Please wait a moment while I help him out. He said he wants to breathe some fresh air.” Andy nodded, then stood guard outside. Soon, Christopher got to see Kevin in the flesh, and his brows furrowed in an instant. He saw Kevin wearing his usual red shirt, with a white stripe sandwiched between the red. He was wearing casual black pants, and his face was full of wrinkles. His hair was gray, but he looked to be in good spirits. He was dressed so casually that he looked like an ordinary old man. Christopher frowned because he felt that there was something wrong with the old man, but he didn’t know what the ultimate problem was. Christopher found this to be utterly strange. It stood to reason that with Hippocrates’ ability, ordinary problems could be identified at a glance. There was no need to investigate or take the person’s pulse. But, since he couldn’t discern what was wrong with the situation, he sensed something fishy. Supported by the servant next to him, Kevin lifted his gaze to look at Andy and Cyrus, who were standing to one side, and a glimmer of joy appeared on his face. When he saw Christopher standing next to them, he asked with uncertainty, “And you are?” “Dad, this is a chef and doctor I hired. He’s excellent in both aspects, and he’s the only one among everyone I hired who can achieve this level,” Andy hurriedly explained with a smile when he didn’t hear the slightest trace of arrogance in Kevin’s voice. Hearing this, Kevin studied Christopher and found him to be tremendously young. A look of surprise crossed his face, then he nodded but said nothing more. Obviously, he didn’t believe what Andy just said. It’s considered good enough for a person in his twenties to be proficient in one aspect, so how could he be excellent in everything? It seems like this kid is here to deceive us, and his deception skills aren’t bad either. Even Andy was deceived. Seeing the slightly disdainful look on Kevin’s face, Andy felt a little awkward. When this kind of thing was said out loud, it was indeed hard to believe. If Andy hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn’t have believed Christopher either. Standing on the side, Christopher didn’t care much at all; it was certainly rather unbelievable to say that a man in his twenties would have excellent medical or culinary skills, so he could understand Kevin’s doubts. However, understanding was one thing, while to be upset was another. Christopher could still clearly distinguish between these two things. “Hello, Old Mr. Dune. Nice to meet you. I’m Christopher Yard.” Christopher gave a faint smile as he stretched out his hand, looking extremely calm. Kevin shot Christopher a slightly dissatisfied glance. Nevertheless, Kevin was also an extraordinary person back in the day. Since Christopher had stretched out his hand, and he was someone Andy personally hired, Kevin wouldn’t reject him for no reason. In order to be polite, Kevin extended his right hand as well and shook Christopher’s hand, but it was just a simple handshake. He impatiently retracted his right hand with great speed, as if he didn’t want to have any more contact with Christopher. Nevertheless, Christopher remained unperturbed as he withdrew his right hand, and a faint smile appeared at the corner of his lips. When they shook hands just now, he immediately noticed something unusual about Kevin’s body. At that moment, Christopher had complete confirmation about Kevin’s illness. This was the reason why Christopher took the initiative to shake hands with Kevin just now. He had wanted to determine certain aspects of Kevin’s physical condition. Ordinary traditional medical practitioners couldn’t do what Christopher did; determining other people’s illnesses just by shaking their hands would sound like an absurd joke. However, Christopher inherited Hippocrates’ lost skills, so it was only natural that he was able to do that. After Kevin left with his servant to go take a walk in the garden, Andy hurried over and cautiously said to Christopher, “Chris, did you manage to see what problem my father’s facing?” Andy had indeed told Christopher that he only needed to cook, but that was before he got to know that Christopher had excellent medical skills, and that he managed to identify Harold’s illness just by listening to his voice. Although Kevin didn’t say a word just now, Andy believed that if his father was sick, Christopher would definitely have an inkling. Smiling faintly, Christopher glanced at Andy. “It could be said that there is and there isn’t a problem with Old Mr. Dune’s body.” When Andy and Cyrus heard Christopher’s verdict, they were confused as a look of astonishment appeared on their faces. What does he mean by that? Is he playing games with us? Or do doctors always like to sound mysterious? Amusement seemed to fill Christopher’s eyes as he said slowly, “I can heal Old Mr. Dune and rekindle his desire for food, but certain special measures are needed. If you agree, then I can do it. If you disagree…” When Andy heard that, he exclaimed excitedly in his heart while he hurriedly uttered, “We agree! We agree!” Even Andy didn’t know what was wrong with Kevin. The problem had been around for so many years, yet no one could figure out what it was. If this continued, his father might go on a hunger strike. So, what reason was there to disagree? As long as his father could be cured, he was willing to use any method at all. That was for sure. Andy didn’t want to say the wrong thing again regarding such matters.“Okay, then. No matter what I do to Old Mr. Dune next, you can’t blame me. If he gets angry, you guys have to help me explain. Otherwise, I won’t do it!” Christopher immediately stated, as if knowing about the consequences that would follow. Andy was once again taken aback, and he said firmly, “Of course, Chris. We’ll listen to you. Whatever you say, we’ll do.” After knowing about Christopher’s Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup and the medical techniques he used to treat Harold, Andy now strongly believed in Christopher’s abilities. So, it was only natural that he wouldn’t give up on this opportunity for his father to recover.
