God-Tier Like System
The patients who had been queuing up around them froze when they saw the grim expression on Christopher’s face. They were all shocked to hear Christopher’s icy tone of voice. How could a young man like him be so rude to the Head of the Neurology Department? Everyone in Crest Hospital knew how domineering and cocky Bryan could be. Bryan could afford to act that way because of his impressive qualifications and position within the hospital, and he never got into trouble because he seemed to have some connections with the hospital’s upper management. Other doctors had attempted to voice their concerns to upper management in the past, but no action had been taken even after this was done. After that, most of the staff in the Department of Neurology were afraid to get on Bryan’s bad side, so they simply obeyed all of Bryan’s orders. Bryan was, therefore, stunned to hear what Christopher had said to him. He curled his lips into a smirk once he recovered from the initial shock. “Hah! How dare you threaten me! What a joke. Is there anyone in this hospital who doesn’t know my name? I don’t want any of you doctors to treat this young girl. We will not provide any treatment until this man forks out the money and apologizes to me!” Christopher fixed his stern glare on the person who had just publicly asked him for 100,000 in this hospital. He couldn’t contain the anger he felt within his chest, so he clenched his fist before sending a fierce punch toward Bryan’s face. “Here’s your f*cking 100,000!” he shouted. The strong impact of the punch sent Bryan off his stool and onto the ground. A red welt formed on his forehead immediately after he crashed into the door beside him. “Ah!” Bryan let out a loud cry. His face twisted into a hideous expression as he raised his uninjured left hand. “T-This young girl will not be treated if you don’t get on your knees and apologize to me right now,” he uttered in a trembling voice. Despite Bryan’s threat, Christopher wore the same, cold expression in his eyes as he lifted his leg to kick Bryan’s left arm. It was a heavy kick—Bryan’s arm slammed against the wall before he let out another cry of agony. Christopher didn’t seem to feel sorry for the man whose both hands were injured. Instead, he proceeded to press one of his feet down against Bryan’s chest. “Well, go on.” Christopher scoffed at him. Bryan was just as furious as the other man. How dare someone within my department act in such an arrogant manner?! This guy even hit me! He doesn’t know where he f*cking stands! Does he know who I am?! I’m the Head of the Neurology Department, and I have full control over all of the neurologists in Crest Hospital. All of my doctors are obedient, and none of them would ever violate my orders! I have never expected a situation like this to occur. Although Bryan had just been beaten up, he continued to wear the same menacing expression on his face as he spoke in a crazed tone. “Just you wait! How dare you step on me?! I’d like to see the look on your face when I tell you whether your young girl can survive. I’m going to make sure that you get to your knees and beg me to help you! You’re going to cry and beg me in a moment!” Bryan’s voice turned raspy from all the yelling, but the smug look remained unchanged on his face. Bang! Christopher no longer said anything else upon hearing Bryan’s words. Instead, Christopher gave the man on the ground another punch. This time, it was aimed directly at Bryan’s mouth. One of Bryan’s front teeth instantly fell off under the force of Christopher’s powerful jab. Bryan spat the bloody teeth out of his mouth, and it fell onto the ground beside him. The blood that stained Bryan’s other teeth made him seem scarier than before. “Go on. I’ll break a tooth for every sentence that you say.” Christopher shook his hands before curling his fingers and forming a fist with his right hand. The faint sound of his knuckles cracking seemed to echo through the room, and all of the patients who had visited the neurological department felt their hair standing on end when they looked at Christopher. This young man’s skills are horrifying. He can make your arms tremble with a single punch, and he can shatter your front teeth with his fist! That’s terrifying!“That’s bullsh*t. You wouldn’t continue to cause trouble in the hospital. I’m going to make sure that you kneel—” Bryan’s expression turned hateful when he first heard what Christopher said. However, Bryan’s sentence was cut short. Thud! His second front tooth fell out after Christopher gave him a second punch in the face. All of the patients shuddered and shuffled away from Christopher when they heard the sound of the punch. Bryan felt himself shaking as he stared at his two front teeth on the ground, coated with his own blood. He could feel his insides vibrating with fear; he understood that the man before him would punch him again if he uttered another word. Bryan was afraid at this point. He had just lost his two front teeth, and he knew that he wouldn’t be able to look exactly the same as he did before no matter how much he tried to fix his teeth. “Go on!” Christopher didn’t seem flustered by the situation at all. He continued to fix his cold glare upon Bryan, and he snorted when he saw how much Bryan was shaking. The corner of Bryan’s lips twitched with anger when he realized that Christopher was trying to provoke him. However, he forced himself to swallow his anger and to keep his mouth shut, all for the sake of his teeth. The patients who had been queuing up were pleased to see the look of defeat on Bryan’s face. They secretly rejoiced over the fact that the Head of the Neurology Department had just been beaten up publicly in the neurological clinic. Christopher took one final look at Bryan before he turned to look at the male doctor beside him. “You need to start treating the young girl now; she can’t wait for much longer.” The male doctor knew better than to disobey Christopher’s words, so he hastily picked the young girl up before sending her into the room for treatment. After that, Christopher picked up his phone to make a call. It had been a few hours since he left and returned to the hospital, so he was sure that Harold was no longer in the building. He contacted Harold as he hadn’t managed to take a photo for his role as the dean. Through the call, Harold explained that he had to rush back to the office for some matters and that he had handed all of the work over to the hospital’s new general manager, John Myers. John Myers? Christopher wore a puzzled expression on his face for a short moment, but he quickly understood what was going on. John must be one of Harold’s relatives. Christopher therefore phoned John’s number after Harold sent it to him. “Christopher, I mean, Mr. Yard. Please hold on. I’ll rush over to the neurological department right now.” John froze for a moment when he first received Christopher’s call. Soon after that, he leaped out of his seat with a flustered expression on his face and sped-walk all the way toward the neurological department.
