Upon hearing what Cameron said, Christopher looked down on him even more. Then, he checked on Harold, who was standing behind him. There was an extremely morose look on Harold’s face when he heard Cameron’s words. After taking a deep breath, he slowly stepped out from behind Christopher to question aloofly, “I’m that scumbag. What’s wrong with that?” As soon as Cameron heard someone respond to him, he instinctively turned in the direction of the speaker to hurl insults at him. “You f*cking—” Yet, he choked on his words halfway through. Unable to say anything else, he stared at Harold in bewilderment, his face drained of color as he trembled. “What’s the matter, Cameron? Deal with him! That b*stard had the audacity—” Having never seen Cameron in such a state, the nurse shook him. “I’ll kill you!” Before she even finished her sentence, Cameron gave her a slap that was even harder than the one Harold gave her, so much so that she was bleeding. Aside from Christopher and his companions, the rest of the occupants in the room were stunned by the fact that Cameron slapped the nurse instead of siding with her even though he had always doted on her. Cameron was also in utter despair after hearing Harold’s announcement. I lost my job because of this woman. With that in mind, he glared at the nurse. As anger surged within him, he gave the nurse another few hard slaps that left her bleeding and on the verge of losing consciousness. Noting that the situation was spiraling out of control, the doctor quickly held Cameron back. After that, he checked on the injury on the nurse’s face in trepidation. The cut on her face was especially obvious, which might leave a scar that would affect her appearance in the future. “Divine Doctor Yard, I will arrange for the best nurse to take care of the patient! The man with disabled legs will also be transferred to a VIP ward, and I shall have our best doctor perform the operation on him for free! I will make sure that he recovers perfectly! The rest of the patients will be separated into two wards and treated. If she was drinking water then, she would have spit it all out. You’re asking this guy to be the dean of the hospital? Christopher’s image as a chef was etched so deeply in Scarlett’s mind that she could hardly imagine otherwise when she heard Harold’s suggestion.
