God-Tier Like System
With a crafty smile, Scarlett neared Christopher step by step, leaning her plump face nearer to his. “If you don’t agree, I’ll tell Grandpa that you kissed me, fondled my breasts, and slept with me!” F*ck! This is blackmail. Bold-faced blackmail! Sure, the first two things are true but if she tells her grandfather the last thing on her list, I will face a tragic death. Rolling his eyes, he took a step forward and challenged her, “Fine; I’ll do it but you have to promise not to threaten to cut off my d*ck in the future—that’s clearly not something a woman should do!” “Hmph! I’ll promise you that as long as you can keep me here!” she answered, crossing her arms over her chest and looking at him with her chin raised. Finally, Christopher gave her an ‘OK’ gesture to indicate that she could put her trust in him. After that, he walked around her, wanting to leave The Serenade. Upon biting her lip and thinking for a moment, she then asked him, “Where are you going?” With another eye-roll, he answered grumpily, “I’m going to get treatment for my hand. Weren’t you the one who bit me? Yet, I don’t see you being nicer to me for catching the knife and saving your life the other day.” Scarlett was surprised to hear that and she paused. In all honesty, she didn’t know he was the one who saved her the other day. Now that she knew, she gave him an apologetic look and said, “Oh—in that case, I’ll accompany you to the hospital!” “Look, there’s a UFO!” he exclaimed, hurriedly pointing toward a random corner of The Serenade. Startled, Scarlett turned to look in that direction. Despite rubbing her eyes to clear them, she didn’t see anything. By the time she turned back to ask him about it, Christopher was long gone. Stamping her foot, she complained loudly, “Hmph! How dare you trick me, Christopher? Just you wait!” Right now, she looked especially cute. Meanwhile, he had long run off to where she couldn’t see him before making his way in the direction of Chloe’s abode. Very quickly, he reached her villa. After lightly ringing the doorbell, he thought he could hear the sound of footsteps coming toward the door. In the next second, a woman with a small, rosy face appeared in front of him. Today, she was wearing a light-blue dress and was looking more sophisticated than she did in the white dress the day before. There was a mesmerizing smile on her face and, as her long eyelashes fluttered, she captivated him so much that he couldn’t stop staring at her. Christopher’s stare flustered her and she turned red and looked down before asking, “W-Why are you staring at me?” “Because you’re beautiful. I can’t help staring at you,” he answered naturally. He could never grow tired of looking at her. In response, she gave him an embarrassed smile before noticing the tooth marks on his left hand. Instantly, her expression changed and she pulled his hand over before asking anxiously, “What happened? Did you get injured again?” By the time she had time to inspect the tooth marks, confusion accompanied the worry in her eyes. How did he get bitten? “I was bitten by a child,” he answered helplessly with an awkward smile. Hearing that, she hurriedly nodded her head and led him into the villa. Inside was a medicine kit she had set aside and after sitting him down on her couch, she pulled it out and got ready to treat him. Silently, he sat there and allowed her to take up his hand, watching as she went through the practiced motions of undoing his bandages, applying fresh ointment to the wound and rebandaging it. After that, she gently cleaned the tooth marks with antiseptic before applying some salve to it. Upon determining that things looked okay, she finally put down his hand. “Your hand is healing pretty quickly—seemingly at twice the normal speed,” Chloe murmured with surprise as she stared at his wounds. He merely smiled in response. After drinking the Bone Broth Detox Soup, his body had strengthened. It would be strange if his wound hadn’t healed quicker. “Aren’t you working today?” he asked off-handedly as he looked around her villa. “Day shifts at the hospital end earlier than general office hours and I’m not working the evening shift tonight, so…” At this point, she sneaked a glance at him. She would never tell him that she had switched shifts with someone else so she could be here to help him change his bandages. At that, he nodded. Even though she wasn’t chasing him off, it didn’t seem appropriate for him to linger at her house after his wounds were tended to. After all, she was a single woman. And so, he thanked her, left her villa and headed home. Today, the system in his head constantly notified him that his thumbs-ups increased by 100 points at a time. By now, due to the increasing thumbs-up points, he had about 4,000 points. Because he wasn’t well-known enough, there were only about forty people praising him for his work today. Nonetheless, if forty people could give him 4,000 thumbs-up points, the number of points he earned would increase exponentially as he gained more followers. At this thought, he let out a happy smile. After a good night’s rest, he got up and hurried back to The Serenade, getting ready to make two more servings of Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup. The Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup took two hours to make yesterday. The same amount of time would likely be needed today, but what was more important was that the soup would no doubt be more effective than before. More unusually, Scarlett stood by his side watching quietly today. When it was needed, she would pass him the ingredients and even compliment him every once in a while, nearly making his jaw drop in surprise. After a quick two hours, he finished making a serving of Hundred Tonics Nourishing Soup. Upon lightly sniffing the air and determining that its aroma was richer than before, he nodded with satisfaction. Following that, he had someone deliver the soup to the Imperial Room as well as notify Luna on the way. After all, the success of the auction still relied partially on the presence of her beautiful self. At the same time, he hurried there, curious to see what price the soup would fetch this time. When he arrived on scene, he discovered to his amazement that the interior of the room was filled to the brim with rich people who sat there chatting, laughing, and drinking tea. Meanwhile, the poorer folk crowded the exterior of the room, pushing at one another to get to the front row. When the soup was presented, its aroma wafted out as before. The men reacted like the day prior, feeling their members stiffen as they felt a stirring in their nether regions. Eagerly, they stared at the soup with stars in their eyes and mouths wide open. There was a look of intoxication on their faces.
