Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon
“When did you and Miss Sylvia become close?” That was the first question that came out of Colton's mouth the moment he entered Ian's abode. “… just… We met randomly somewhere and got to know each other.” Ian skillfully avoided the questions and sat down on the couch. He raised his head at Colton and questioned. “Why aren't you heading to your tent? Isn't the dinner banquet your favorite part of the events? There will be so many delicious dishes available. I'm sure you don't want others to get to it first.” Ian chuckled as he spoke. “You…” Colton's expression became unreadable as he stared at Ian, who was laughing before him. Ian noticed his strange gaze. “What's wrong?” “It seems like I no longer recognize you anymore, Ian,” Colton said while sighing. Ian's brow furrowed, his eyes turning serious when he heard this. Colton continued. “You're keeping a secret from me, and I think that's making the relationship between us become estranged. The last time, the queen called my mother asking about your well-being at my place. My mother was confused since you weren't staying with us. I had to quickly take over the call and cook up some lies to fool the queen. I really didn't want to bring up this topic, but now I think I should.” An unlike serious expression appeared on Colton's face, which was contrary to his usual goofy look. “Where did you go during the time you were absent? Do not lie to me about going to the virtual net, since I already checked for you there several times. Also, those people whom you met on the virtual net some days ago, who are they? And the handsome man you were talking to? Who is he?” “I…” Ian's iris dilated at the numerous questions posed to him. His voice hesitated before a sigh finally escaped through his nostrils. “This is meant to be kept a secret. I'm sorry, I can't tell you.” “Ah.” Colton let out a mocking laugh. “Secret? You mean the secret about you being gay? Did you spend all those days at your lover's house?” “Wait, what?” Ian's eyes became clear, and he stared at Colton with shock on his face. “Yes, I know. I know that you're gay, Ian. I also know that you wouldn't smile at anyone, yet you were smiling at that man like he was some sort of heartbeat to your heart. How do you think your fiancé would react if she finds out about it?” “Just what the hell are you talking about? What do you mean by I'm gay?” Ian could feel his temple throbbing at this moment. Colton saw Ian’s bewildered expression. The mocking smile on his face faded away, switching to a confused look. “The handsome guy you were handing something to on the virtual net. Isn't he…” His voice trailed when he noticed the change in Ian's expression and instantly knew that he might have made a misunderstanding. “Gosh.” Ian pinched between his brows and shook his head in dismay. “What am I to do with you, Colton?” “I… Does that mean you…” The young man couldn't finish his sentence when he realized he had been in a delusion all along. Ian got to his feet and strolled towards him. Seeing the latter's changing expression, he extends a hand and pats him on the shoulder. “I think you need help, brother. Your wild imagination shouldn't be left to wander alone. I'm going to the bathroom to wash up.” Ian gave him a second pat on the shoulder before heading to the bathroom. Colton stood rooted to the spot, his expression that of an awkwardness. So, he's not… Then why didn't he say so? Why let me rummage around with my thoughts? Wait, it seems like I was the one who assumed without inquiring whether it's the truth or not. Damm, this is so embarrassing. How am I going to face Ian right now? Colton began to ponder. However, unknown to him, he seems to have forgotten the most important part of the question. Where had Ian headed during his absence? And how did he get familiar with Sylvia? 'Click' The bathroom door was locked. Ian walked over to the mirror in front of the sink, staring at his reflection. “I was careless.” Thankfully, he was able to fool Colton. But if it were someone like his mother, he knew that his lies would be exposed in seconds. … “How do you think I look in this dress?” Inside the dressing room, the exquisite figure of a young girl was revealed before the full-length mirror. Her head of black hair falls freely behind her back, rippling lightly like a waterfall under her soft twirl movements. The lighting in the room reflected her poker-like face onto the mirror. Under her hair were her perfectly trimmed eyebrows. The gentle flutter of her eyelid reveals the cold iris that was inlaid beneath, giving one the sense of tranquility, yet danger at the same time. Her small petite face, little nose and cherry red lips seems to cover the sense of danger in her eyes, only revealing her youthful appearance. She was don in a cream-colored gown. It was a simple dressing, yet she appeared graceful in it. Further below her waved length hair was her pale, but beautiful swan-like neck. Resting on it was a beautiful necklace that emitted a soft sparkle under the bright light. The girdle of her dress further highlighted her thin and dainty waist, almost giving one the impression that it could snap into two under a single held. It was the first time Sylvia would ever dress this way. She was even putting on makeup. It was a strange feeling for her. Sylvia was naturally beautiful, but her years of wearing dull clothes and fighting off zombies had killed off her sense of beauty. But wearing the dress Miley had gifted to her, she looked just like a princess who had just wandered out of a painting. This princess dressing that made her feel uncomfortable all over wasn't what she was used to. [Good.] The tone of the responder was flat. The thin brow in the mirror's reflection squeezes together along with the actual person. 'Are you okay, Susu?' She thought Susu should have gotten over his bad mood, so why does his voice still sound off? [I'm fine, host. You look so beautiful. Miley indeed has a beautiful eye for clothes. Also, the necklace given to you by that crown prince looks great on you.] Susu's voice reverted to his normal cheerful tone, but Sylvia felt that there was something off about him.
