Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon
Since there were still some few hours left before the banquet starts, Sylvia brought Asher along with her and strolled around the area for some sightseeing. With thousands of students gathered in one place, surely the area must be bustling with activities. All the nearby food stalls were filled with students. Sylvia held Asher's palm tightly, preventing him from getting lost in the wave. Sighting an open ice cream stall without a crowd, she immediately led Asher over. “Which flavor do you want, Asher?” She asked the little boy. “Welcome, beautiful young lady.” The stall owner, seeing a customer, hurried to advertise his goods. “My stall's ice cream flavors are all delicious. It doesn't matter which flavor you purchase; I assure you that they all tasted delicious. Do you want me to pack all the flavors? Don't worry, we offer a discount for bulk purchases.” Asher, who was about to make his decision, hesitated when he heard the stall owner's words. He turned to look at Sylvia with a watery eye. Sylvia saw his gaze and smiled. She knew that the stall owner was somewhat crafty, intentionally trying to make her buy more. However, Sylvia didn't mind and spoke. “Okay. We'll get all the flavors.” “Ah.” The owner seems surprised, not expecting Sylvia to order all the flavors. Afraid that she would go back on her word, he immediately answered. “Yes, yes. I'll prepare it right away.” He started to operate the ice cream machine. After some minutes, he handed out the package bags. “Here is your package. The total price is 2000 coins after discount.” “Okay.” Sylvia swiped her light brain over the payment terminal, deducting the total amount from her account.“Thank you for your patronage. Make sure to visit again. I promise to give you a big discount the next time.” The ice cream owner was all smiles as he sent off his big customer. Sylvia held the bags in one hand and Asher's palm in the other hand. The two began to head towards the sitting park. It wasn't a surprise to Sylvia, seeing that the park was also crowded with students. The benches around the area were already filled up. So, Sylvia could only spread a cloth on the grass like the other students and sit on it. “Sit beside me.” She patted the spot next to her for Asher to sit on. Once he was seated, she began to bring out the ice cream cups in each bag and laid them on the cloth. She passed Asher his favorite vanilla flavor, while she also took a cup for herself. There was still a lot of ice cream left, but Sylvia didn't mind about it. The two sat on the wide grass, the lazy evening sun shining upon them as they savor the delicious ice cream. “Isn't that Sylvia over there?” A girl, not far from where Sylvia was sitting, saw her and pointed. Hearing the words, Genevieve lifted her head, staring in the direction the girl was pointing. The expression on her face became unreadable when she sighted Sylvia and her younger brother in the distance. “You're right. It's indeed her.” Another answered. “I can't believe she has undergone a massive transformation.” The girl spoke again. She was Sylvia's classmate at Roland Academy. “She now appears cold and unapproachable. It's truly unlike the cowardly Sylvia I know.” “Of course, her aura has to change. Don't forget that she's the current CEO of Creamery Creamer. If I were her, I would also exude the aura of a domineering CEO. Ha-ha. What am I even talking about?” The girls laughed out, and the others also joined in. “But… Don't you think that her change is quite sudden?” One of them raised the question. “Everything about her seems unlike her. Most especially the singing part. Were you all aware that she could sing?” “No. I was also surprised to see that she could sing so well.” “But she hasn't sung before us either, so how are we to know whether she already has the talent for it singing?” “You’ve a point there.” Genevieve listened to their words and fell into a deep contemplation. The girl who raised the question was right. Sylvia's change was too sudden, almost as if she had become another person entirely. It hasn't been that long since she was expelled from the academy, and yet she has become someone whom they couldn't reach up to. It was so strange. “There was this time when I walked past her, she didn't seem to recognize me. I wonder if she was faking it because her expression looked too real.” “I, Genevieve, and the others also met her at the stadium this morning, but she seems not to recognize any of us. Not even remembering our names. Now that you mentioned it, I think she might be faking the act of not recognizing us.” “Or could it be that she suffered from amnesia or went through a hypnosis session to wipe out her memory? You know, she might want to forget everything that occurred to her at the academy. It's not like she has any good memories about it.” “Perhaps. Who knows? Okay, let's stop talking or else the noodles will turn soggy if we delay any longer.” One of them reminded, and they all began to eat, except for Genevieve, who sat down, lost in thought. Amnesia? A hypnosis session? She didn't believe any of those speculations. She could remember fervently that when she introduced herself, Sylvia seemed to have remembered who she was. What could make someone forget their memories and yet not lose them at the same time? Could it really be a hypnosis session? Genevieve racked her brain several times, trying to arrive at a conclusion, but she couldn't. In fact, more questions continuously pop up in her mind. How did the weakling Sylvia become strong all of a sudden? How did her entire demeanor undergo a huge change? Also, how was she able to create a formidable company on her own? *** Sylvia had no idea that her unperturbed act of not emulating the previous predecessor's behavior had led her to be suspected by her classmates. But she wouldn't care even if she knew about it. She was both Sylvia Austen in blood and body. There's no way anyone would guess that what had been switched was the soul, and just suspect her of having a multiple personality disorder. “Oh, it's Ms. Austen.” The voice, tinged with a hint of surprise voice floated into her ears. But Sylvia could detect the oddity in the person's voice. Surely, the person was just trying to form a coincidence encounter between them. Sylvia lifted her head, her gaze coming in contact with the grin across Colton's face. “Such a coincidence.” Colton continued. “I didn't expect we would meet you out here. Ahh, this must be your little brother. Hello, kiddo. How are you doing?” He extended his right hand out for a shake. Asher stared at the chattering person before him and didn't seem to have a sense of likeness towards him. He was about to hide away in his sister's embrace when he noticed the familiar figure standing beside the loquacious brother. “Big brother Ian.” Asher jumped onto his feet, running forward to hug Ian. “Yes.” Ian's face broke into a smile. He lifted the cute boy into his arms and ruffled his short black hair. “I can see that you're busy having an ice cream picnic over here.” “My sister bought them for me. Do you want to have some? There are so many flavors available. It's so delicious that it won't make you feel pain.” Ian detected the hidden concern in the boy's words and knew he was talking about his inability to eat spicy food. He ruffled his hair once again. “Our little Asher is truly a big angel. Okay, I'll have a taste of this delicious ice cream as you say.” Colton witnessed the close interactions between the two couldn't help but feel stunned and awkward at the same time when he saw that his handshake had been ignored. He could only withdraw his hand, trying to maintain the smile on his face. “Ha-ha. I didn't know that you two were familiar with each other. This is great.” Since Asher had invited Ian for some ice cream, Sylvia didn't say anything. Colton, who wasn't invited, could only be shameless and sat down with them. “Here. This one is a coconut flavor. Sister had already given me a scoop out of it. It's so delicious.” Asher passed a cup of coconut-flavored ice cream to Ian. “And this is a strawberry flavor. The last time my sister gave me; it was so delicious. Here, have it. And this one…” The little guy was busy putting the ice cream cups into Ian's hand, not bothering to leave anything for the other guest. The smile on Colton's face became even more awkward seeing this. “Okay, Asher. There's no way Ian is going to finish eating all this. So, let's share some with the other guests.” The moment Colton heard Sylvia say this, his eyes became teary.“Thank you, Ms. Austen.” You are truly my lifesaver. He then secretly turned to give Ian a fierce glare. What a friend you are! Taking all the ice creams without even leaving a cup for me. You're definitely not my brother. Ian pretended as if he didn't see Colton's gaze and began to eat the ice cream. “Is it delicious?” Asher looked at him with an expectant gaze. “Hmm.” Ian nodded. “It's so good.” “Then have some more.” The little guy became happy seeing that Ian was enjoying the ice cream. The four of them sat under the lazy sun, enjoying the ice cream treats. The evening glow shone upon their faces, revealing their beautiful appearances. The appearance of the little kid was so cute. His eyes would squint in happiness every time he took a scoop of ice cream into his mouth. Seated at his side, was a girl who appeared cold and indifferent to all going around her. Yet, there was a beautiful smile across her lips as she watched the little kid happily eat. Next to her was a young teenage boy with short hair who was gobbling down his ice cream like a hungry ghost. The scene immediately sent a irk down to those who were watching the view. They instantly moved their gaze away from him, settling it on the last person. The crown prince! Their eyes widened in shock, seeing that the one who was seated before the cold girl was the crown prince of Starry Sky empire. How did Sylvia get to know the crown prince? Genevieve was stunned upon seeing this scene. Didn't he reject her confession back then? How come they look so close?
