Chapter 119 Invitation

The smile on the girl's face faltered when she realized that Sylvia didn't recognize her. Trying not to lose her composure, she introduces herself in a half-smile. “It's me, Genevieve. I can't believe you've forgotten me so soon. You must have countless things going on in your mind for you not to recognize me.” With Genevieve taking on the conversation, the girls beside her followed suit and began conversing with Sylvia one by one. From their respective words, Sylvia learned that they were the previous 'predecessor' classmates in Roland Academy. The dark-haired girl named Genevieve was the class president. One thing she also noticed was their warm attitude towards her. She felt that it was quite strange since the previous owner wasn't close to any of the group, and neither was 'she' on talking terms with them. “Hmm.” Trying not to delve much into their sudden change of behavior, Sylvia responded to their greetings with a nod before turning her attention back to Asher. However, there was somebody who was displeased with her mild reaction. The somewhat half-smile on Genevieve's face became twisted, causing her smile to look unnatural. Her mouth parted several times as if she were about to say something. But for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to utter a word. If it was before she had discovered Sylvia's mysterious identity, she wouldn't have cared about holding back her displeasure like she was doing right now. But knowing the other current role as Creamery Creamer CEO, and having a whole federation backing her up, there was no way she would dare to offend her. The girls next to Genevieve also had the same opinion and could only swallow back whatever dissatisfactions were left in their hearts.Surprisingly, Genevieve found the courage to continue her conversation with Sylvia. “Hum, our class will be having a gathering during this holiday. Would you like to join us?” She immediately added, as if afraid that Sylvia would reject her request. “Don't worry. It really won't take much time as it's just a dinner gathering. Although you have been expelled from the academy, we still consider you to be part of us. I'm pretty sure that every other member of the class would love to see your presence at the gathering.” With her attention still on Asher, Sylvia replied to her with one word. “Busy.” “Ahh.” Genevieve face crumpled up in embarrassment seeing that her invitation was rejected. Coupled with the fact that she had accidentally caught sight of someone staring at her from the corner of her eye, her face became beet red. 'I'm the class president. How dare she reject my invitation and make me lose face in front of everyone?' Unfortunately, Genevieve seems to be forgetting that Sylvia is no longer a student at Roland Academy. And neither did she have the right to command her with the class president status as she has always done in the past. But despite her rolling emotions, she managed to squeeze out a laugh through her mouth. “Ha-ha. Just take a look at me. How could I be so dumb to forget that you must be very busy managing the company's affairs? Nonetheless, it's such a pity that we won't be able to have a complete gathering without you. I guess maybe some other time then.” At the end of her sentence, Genevieve forced out another smile before turning backward. As soon as she was out of Sylvia's sight, the smile on her face vanished in seconds. Detecting some muffled laughter behind her, the expression on her face became ugly. 'Are they making a mockery of me because I was rejected? Do they think that I was shameless for trying to get closer to Sylvia?' The thoughts of Sylvia and the others making a mockery of her caused her already ugly expression to become even darker. Genevieve's friends immediately saw through her mood swings and decided to keep much silence around her, so as not to upset her further. … Unaware of a certain person's inner turmoil, the students from the third-year class weren't concerned with the conversation between Sylvia and her previous classmates. None thought any wrong about Sylvia rejecting their invite due to her busy schedule. Since this was her decision, there was no need for them to interfere in her matters. As a result, the students took on where they left off in their previous conversation and began to discuss with each other. Some even cracked a joke, causing some low laughter to seep out of some girl's lips. Unknowingly, their laughter was misunderstood for a mockery by a certain person. “Do you want to see a magic trick, Asher?” Urea turned to the little boy seated beside Sylvia. Asher's interest was instantly aroused by the question. He first lifted his head and took a look at his sister, before nodding softly at Urea in answer. “Hmm.” “Okay. Watch this.” Urea revealed her two empty palms to Asher, before clasping them together. Soon, she began to perform her so-called magic trick by throwing her hands across the air. “And here comes the magic.” Urea put down her raised hands, revealing a tiny gap between her closed palms. In an instant, several colorful butterflies flew out of the gap, dancing beautifully in the open air. The colorful scene was truly mesmerizing. “Whoa!” Asher's eyes went wide in amazement. The little guy couldn't help but be astonished at how Urea had churned out many colorful butterflies out of thin air.Sylvia was also fascinated by the trick. She began to wonder if those butterflies were Urea's contract beasts. “Is it cool? Do you like it?” Urea's expression was pleased when she saw the excitement in the boy's eyes. “Hmm.” The little guy bobs his head up and down like an excited puppy. “Want me to show you more?” “Yes!” “Tch.” Sanchez was annoyed, seeing Urea trying to get closer to Sylvia by sparking Asher's interest in her. How could he let that happen under his watch?
