Interstellar Businesswoman Tycoon
Ian, unaware of the uproar on the net, was busy listening to Asher's little conversations about his fun times at school. However, this little conversation was soon cut short by the ringing of his light brain. Catching the familiar ID on the screen, Ian tapped on the receiving option. A hologram video of a panting boy appeared in his view. Seeing that the call was accepted, Colton, still winded from his earlier run, immediately asked, “Where have you been, brother? I've been looking for you everywhere. The guards told me they had no idea where you went to. Where did you go to?” Ian saw Colton struggling to catch his breath and thought something emergency had happened. “I just went some distance to visit a friend. What's wrong? Did anything happen?” “A friend?” Colton became puzzled, thinking he might have heard wrong. Suddenly, he noticed the shoulder frame of a kid sitting next to Ian. “You… Are you with a kid right now?” Hearing him asking this, Ian immediately shifted the viewing angle away from Asher and stood up to walk out of the door. “That was definitely a kid sitting beside you, right?” Colton felt that there was something wrong with this setting but couldn't pinpoint what was exactly wrong. However, Ian's next word immediately diverted his attention away from any further thoughts. “Why did you call me? Are you finally regretting your decision to sleep alone by yourself?” “That's not it, brother. The whole media is currently on fire! No, it's like a beast stampede on the net right now.” Ian's exterior suddenly went pale at Colton mentioning the word beast’s stampede. “Is the city under a monster siege?” “Of course not. But this is even more shocking than the occurrence of a beast tide.” Colton's face was flushed. Clearly, he was still experiencing a thrill from the video conference he had just watched. “That girl… Damm, how come I've forgotten her name so quickly? Well, I mean the girl you rejected back then in public.” “Are you talking about Sylvia?” Ian's brow rose in questioning, wondering why Colton was asking about Sylvia all of a sudden. “Yes, that's right. Sylvia. Her name is Sylvia Austen. She's currently trending on the net.” Colton's began to rattle on. “Whoa brother, can you believe that she's the current biggest shareholder of Creamery Creamer? The acting president just announced that she's the true founder of the company. And now, the entire universe is in a tumult because of this shocking news. The Internet server has broken down three times within these few minutes because of the huge crowd turnover who are trying to log into the net. Do you think that she would forgive you for rejecting her confession back then? You know, she got the federation backing her, while you… You know… a crown prince of a backward planet. Are you listening to me, bro? Bro. Ian.” 'Beep.' The world became silent. Colton saw that he was faced with a blank screen. “Damm has the connection been severed again.” … Ian stood outside the door for a minute while in a trance. Wanting to verify Colton's assertion, he tapped on his device and logged into the social network page. At that instant, various headline news kept popping up on the screen page. All of them shared a repeated syllable and that was the name Sylvia Austen. [#Breaking news: Acting CEO of Creamery Creamer just revealed in a video conference the name of the company's biggest shareholder to be, 'Miss. Sylvia Austen'.] “She… She…” Ian was at loss of words to say at this sudden revelation. Back then, Sylvia had mentioned to him that she was just an employee hired to manage the stalls in the virtual net.Looks like that wasn't the whole truth after all. He could somewhat guess the reason why she would want to keep her identity a secret. But still, Ian felt a bit uncomfortable in his heart. As he was a bit distracted, the door behind him was suddenly pulled open and a female figure stepped out of the gap. “Asher told me you went out. I thought you had left. Come on in, the meal is already done. I can't let my guest go back on an empty stomach, right?” Sylvia spoke. “You…” Ian turned around, his gaze meeting her clear eyes. “I… I mean you… You're the true owner of Creamery Creamer?” Sylvia glanced at the headline news on Ian's screen, before looking back at him. Uncle Mike had already made clear to her that he would be revealing her true identity to the public to clear any future scandals. “Yes.” She didn't bother denying it, since this was now a public matter. “But that's just in name only. I'm not the one overseeing the company's operations but my uncle who is named Mike.” “Oh. Do Miley and the others also know about your identity?” “No.” Sylvia shook her head. “But they should probably do by now, seeing that the news is all over the media.” Hearing her response, Ian's eyes began to light up and his lips inadvertently curved up into a silly grin. 'So, she kept her identity away from not just me, but everyone else. This is great.' Sylvia became perplexed upon seeing Ian grinning at her reply. She began to wonder if she had uttered any funny words that had made him laugh. “Okay. Let's head inside then.” With a smile, Ian stepped into the house. On getting to the dining table, the expression became dumbfounded, spotting the abundant spicy dishes laid on the table. “Have your seat.” Sylvia gestured towards the seat next to her. But finding him still staring intently at the dishes on the table, she thought he was taken aback by the conscientious meal preparation. Hence, she explained. “This meal was prepared by 'Bai'. I hope you'll enjoy it.” 'Bai' put on a smiling emoticon as its mechanical voice sounded. “Enjoy your meal, dear guest. I prepared them meticulously according to the statistics of the most popular dishes on the net.” “Ha-ha. Yes, I'll.” Ian forced out a smile as he took his seat. He picked up his cutlery and didn't know where to start. Since Asher was still a kid, a plain dish was prepared for him. At the table, Sylvia didn't notice Ian's strange predicament. At first, she had wanted to prepare some pastries, along with some other mild snacks for Ian. But Susu suddenly began to clamor that he wanted to test his culinary skill on some spicy cuisines. Sylvia could only let him do as he wished since the latter was a pro at cooking. However, what she was unaware of was that there was a certain person who couldn't handle spicy food at all. Seeing Ian's constrained expression, Susu laughed out evilly in his mind: Ha-ha-ha. Ian looked down at the zesty dishes in front of him. Each one of them looked appetizing, but he didn't dare to move his table wares. Being the first time Sylvia would invite him for a meal, and yet couldn't take a bite out of it, Ian felt he was truly an unlucky fellow. It wasn't that he couldn't take in spicy foods. But whenever he does, he always ends up having a severe embarrassing episode. As a result, anything that has to do with spicy stuff, like spicy nutrient solution, he would automatically avoid them. But could he do so now, the answer was — No. So, under Susu's surprised gaze, Ian moved his cutlery and began to eat.Seeing him gobbling down the food like it was the most delicious food he had ever had; Susu's smiling expression revealed a crack. [What the hell is happening right now? Didn't those people verify that he couldn't handle spicy food? Don't tell me that I've been scammed?] Susu became livid when he realized that he had been made a fool of. He had been the one who always toyed with others, but who would have thought that the same action would be reversed to him? As he ate, Ian noticed that the nanny robot's face was entirely glued to him. Thinking that it wanted to hear his compliment about the dish, he smiled and said, “This is so good. I've never had something this delicious, even at the palace. You're such a great cook, Bai.” This commendation only made Susu's mood even more grim: F*ck it. I'm going to find that person who sold me that info and make his life miserable. How dare he collect my money and scam me? Susu hurriedly delved into the vast network, wanting to find the person who had just scammed him out of his money. Ian was about to continue eating when he suddenly felt a wave of large discomfort in his stomach. He looked up at Sylvia and asked, “Hum, can you show me the way to the restroom, please?” “Sure. It's over there.” Sylvia pointed at the door in the corner. “Thank you.” Ian immediately left the table. Asher looked at Ian's retreating figure before turning to look at his sister. “Sister, big brother Ian doesn't seem to like the food.” “Why did you say that?” Sylvia was surprised to hear him say that. “Because he kept holding his stomach during the meal. I only hold my stomach whenever it is painful. Uncle Ian's stomach must have been so painful, so he went into the restroom to cry.” The little guy blinked; his sentence filled with the innocence of a kid.“Don't worry. He didn't go inside the restroom to cry. He just went there to answer the call of nature.” Sylvia pats him on the head, giving him an assuring look. But when she shifted her gaze away, she looked at the restroom door with a worried expression. She was afraid that what Asher said might be true. Susu's sudden change of mind about cooking spicy dishes and Ian's sudden request to go to the restroom after eating a bit of the food. All the evidence in front of her was spot on. Gosh, Susu. Just what the hell have you done?
