Stronger Every Time I Die
Hugo froze. Heaven’s Cult. Arthur had only visited Heaven’s Cult once—he might’ve barely brushed up against them. There was no way such a distant connection could justify deploying an aircraft carrier just for Arthur. But an aircraft carrier wasn’t something that could be deployed on a whim. Hugo didn’t have time to dwell on it. He quickly asked, “Mr. Silas, you know about this?” “Yes, I do.” Mr. Silas replied, “The President Holland of Tamaria offended the Crown Prince of Heaven’s Cult. Heaven’s Cult is using our territory as a launch point, and the operation has already been approved at the highest level. It’s not our concern.” After a pause, Mr. Silas added, “Tamaria has committed countless crimes. This time, they even detained someone from Lioran. Since Heaven’s Cult is willing to help rescue her—and they’re going with such overwhelming force—this is a godsend. Hopefully, they’ll eliminate a global threat. Let’s just pretend we don’t know anything. No matter how much space Heaven’s Cult wants to use, we fully support it. We’ll open every route for them without condition.” He sighed. “Compared to what Heaven’s Cult has done for Lioran, what we’re doing now is nothing.” With that, Mr. Silas ended the call. Hugo stood there blankly, holding his phone, unable to snap out of it. He even forgot to say goodbye to Mr. Silas. Tamaria’s President Holland had offended someone high-ranking in Heaven’s Cult. The highest level had approved the operation. All travel routes were being opened to them without conditions. Hugo recognized every word—but when strung together, he couldn’t make sense of it. Arthur had only visited Heaven Island—how had he gotten involved with the Crown Prince of Heaven’s Cult? They’d only just woken up, barely exchanged a few words with Arthur. They didn’t even know whether Arthur and Ashley had managed to connect with Heaven’s Cult during their time on Heaven Island. Before they were kidnapped by Finley, they’d contacted Arthur and Ashley. But at the time, all Arthur had said was that they weren’t in danger. Nothing more. Heaven’s Cult—an organization so mysterious that just coming into contact with them was a miracle. Let alone their Crown Prince? But in the video call with Arthur just now, they had seen it with their own eyes. Arthur had been standing inside the command center of an aircraft carrier—and could move around freely in such a crucial area! Arthur... what kind of opportunity had he gained from his trip to Heaven Island? These powers were already far beyond anything they could comprehend. No matter how powerful a typical organization was, there was no way a single person could mobilize a carrier fleet on their own! With trembling hands, Spencer initiated another video call with Ashley. The call connected quickly. Ashley’s beautiful face appeared on the screen, her hair tousled by the sea breeze. Behind her, a large flag flapped in the wind. On it, in bold letters: “Heaven’s Cult!” Spencer didn’t waste words. He got straight to the point. “Ashley, tell me honestly. Whose command brought in that aircraft carrier?” As he said the words “aircraft carrier,” Spencer’s voice wavered instinctively. That term was worlds away from anything he was familiar with. Even now, he couldn’t believe it—his daughter and future son-in-law were standing on a real carrier. Ashley knew this wasn’t something she could hide anymore. With such a massive operation underway, it wouldn’t be long before word spread. Everyone on the other end of the line was family—they had no reason to keep secrets. Arthur had left behind a large team of bodyguards to protect them. Ashley wasn’t worried about their safety. So she said, “Dad, Mom, the carrier was brought in by Arthur.” “What!” The four people on Spencer’s end were completely stunned! Hugo’s mind finally kicked back into gear. He asked, “How was Arthur able to mobilize an aircraft carrier?” There was a brief silence from the other end. Then Arthur’s face appeared on the screen. He stepped beside Ashley and looked at the people on the other side of the call. “Do you remember I mentioned my grandfather?” “Your grandfather?” They didn’t understand why Arthur had suddenly jumped topics. But Hugo replied, “Yes, you said you went to visit your grandfather outside Mose City.” Arthur looked at them and said slowly, “My grandfather’s name is Benjamin. He’s the founder of Heaven’s Cult.” The moment he said it— It hit like thunder. The words exploded in everyone’s ears. All four of them started trembling again. Heaven’s Cult was an organization they had all heard of.
