Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 620 Trouble in Red

Ashley didn’t keep Arthur waiting long. Just moments later, she stepped out from behind the screen. And the second Arthur looked up—he was stunned. That fitted red dress clung to Ashley’s figure perfectly, highlighting every curve and delicate feature. Her soft, oval face wore no makeup, yet she looked effortlessly beautiful. Chestnut curls tumbled over her shoulders, framing her petite frame with an air of natural elegance. Each step she took in those glossy heels made her pale legs flash in and out of view, and her graceful posture was mesmerizing. Every step felt like it landed right on Arthur’s heart. God help him. Arthur nearly lost control on the spot. Ashley looked too good—way too good. She walked up to him slowly, her cheeks rosy as she looked up at him, eyes wide and innocent. Arthur almost had a nosebleed. In that dress, standing this close, all he could think about was how she looked without the dress. And that expression… that slightly shy gaze she gave him—there was a kind of soft seduction in it that sent electricity through his spine. She still had the youthful sweetness of a college girl, but now with a budding charm that was impossible to ignore. Arthur felt heat building in his nose. He immediately turned his head away. “Uhm… Ashley, I—uh—let’s go outside!” It was too hot in here. It was actually nice and cool in the room—it was already autumn—but Arthur felt like he was on fire. If he kept looking at her, he might just throw her down on the spot. There were people waiting outside. That couldn’t happen. No way. He clenched his jaw, forcing himself to look away and suppress the urge coiling in his gut. Ashley noticed he wasn’t even looking at her and felt a little disappointed. “Arthur… why won’t you look at me?” Her soft voice carried a hint of hurt. Oh no. Arthur didn’t need to look. The image of her just now was still burned into his mind. And now she was speaking like that? It was like she was asking—Why haven’t you ravished me yet? How is anyone supposed to resist that?! At that moment, Arthur wanted nothing more than to spin around, pull her into his arms, and devour her. But then he thought of the crowd outside. Arthur, hold it together! He coughed awkwardly. “I… I’m afraid I won’t be able to hold back.” He didn’t say it outright, but Ashley instantly understood. Her eyes widened. Without thinking, she took three quick steps back. She knew Arthur too well. If he did lose control—she wouldn’t survive the night. Just the thought of all those people waiting outside—her face turned serious fast. Nope. Not happening. Ashley quickly changed the subject. “Um, the old couple’s still waiting for us outside. We—we should go!” She didn’t even glance back at him. Especially not… down there. She darted to the door and practically bolted out.But even as she stepped outside, she gently closed the door behind her—giving Arthur a moment to collect himself. The second she stepped out, she ran right into the grinning old woman. The lady gave her a knowing look. “Ashley, honey, you look stunning in that outfit.” Then she added with a chuckle, “I bet Arthur was totally speechless, huh?” Her eyes sparkled with amusement and a trace of admiration. In all her years, she’d rarely seen a girl as gorgeous as Ashley. Well—except maybe the boss’s daughter, Miss Kelly. Miss Kelly had been stunning too. Come to think of it, both must’ve inherited the best traits from the boss and his wife. Even now, you could tell from Benjamin’s features that he must’ve been a real heartthrob back in the day. Ashley was already blushing when she came out—but now, after hearing that, her whole face turned crimson. She tried to play it cool, but the color in her cheeks betrayed her completely. She covered her face and stammered, “Come on, y-you’re teasing me…” The woman burst into laughter. “Oh, Ashley, you’re shy now?” “Don’t worry, dear. I’ve been around long enough to know that all that stuff between men and women—well, there’s no need to be embarrassed about it.”
