Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 612 Founder of the Cult

He said… Heaven’s Cult was his creation?! What?! The weight of that single sentence was enormous—so much that Arthur and Ashley could barely process it. But Benjamin, on the other hand, looked completely unfazed. “When I started Heaven’s Cult, all I wanted was to give a group of desperate people a safe home. As time went on, it just grew into what it is today.” His tone was casual, like he was talking about the weather. Arthur and Ashley stopped in their tracks. They stood there dumbfounded, still trying to wrap their heads around the truth. Then Arthur suddenly remembered the invitation letter. No wonder. No wonder the handwriting on that invitation had looked so familiar—so warm. Ten years ago, he’d been a kid, only able to admire how beautiful Grandpa’s handwriting was. He never imagined the head of Heaven’s Cult was actually his grandfather! Benjamin looked at them, puzzled. “What is it?” Arthur turned to him with admiration in his eyes. “Grandpa… you’re incredible!” Benjamin let out a snort of laughter. “It was just a coincidence. Nothing worth fussing over.” Nothing worth fussing over?! Arthur was speechless. Grandpa will always be Grandpa. Back in his prime, Benjamin had turned Gray Corporation into a powerhouse. And now, even at his age, he’d pulled off something even bigger. The three of them arrived at Benjamin’s study. Though “study” wasn’t quite the right word—it was more like a library. The room was massive, with walls lined top to bottom with bookshelves, all neatly arranged. Arthur scanned the titles, eyes wide. Everything was there—from military strategy to fiction. Nearly every book he’d ever read was somewhere in this room. Benjamin noticed his gaze and took the opportunity to give a familiar piece of advice. “To read ten thousand books is to walk ten thousand miles. Arthur, you can never read too much.” Arthur felt his eyes sting. His grandfather had said the exact same thing when he was a boy. In his past life, because of Zac, he’d only managed to get into an average university. After a rushed graduation, he went straight into the company. Thankfully, fate gave him another shot—he’d been reborn. Benjamin’s desk was carved from the finest wood, with exquisite craftsmanship and intricate designs. It radiated power and elegance. Nina yawned, her eyes drooping. “Grandpa… I’m sleepy…” She was already half-asleep as she spoke. Benjamin quickly caught her to keep her from collapsing. He turned toward the door and called out, voice firm, “Someone, take Nina to her room.” “Yes, sir!” A servant pushed the door open immediately. Benjamin gently scooped Nina into his arms. “Be good, Nina. Go rest, okay?” His voice was unusually tender. Nina mumbled, “Okay…” Then she gave a lazy wave toward Arthur and Ashley. “Ashley… Arthur… I’m gonna sleep now. Let’s play later…” Arthur and Ashley smiled and waved back. “Alright. Go get some rest.”Only after hearing their response did Nina finally close her eyes in peace. Benjamin looked down at her with a flicker of sadness, cradling her gently as he stepped outside. Apparently, Nina often fell asleep like that. One of the servants even had a plush sleeping cart prepared for her. Benjamin tucked her in carefully before instructing the driver and servants to escort her back to her room. Only after the cart disappeared into the distance did Benjamin return to the study. Arthur had noticed something strange about Nina, so he asked cautiously, “Grandpa… what’s wrong with Nina?” Benjamin let out a deep sigh, and a flicker of anger passed through his eyes. “Solivair locked her in a castle her entire childhood, claiming it was for her protection. But he didn’t realize—being isolated like that for so long completely broke her mentally. Now, even though she’s sixteen, Nina still thinks like a child. Her emotions are unstable. And she falls asleep like this out of nowhere.” As he spoke, Benjamin’s voice trembled with suppressed fury. “That bastard Solivair… He not only got Kelly killed, but turned Nina into this!” “If he weren’t her biological father, I would’ve torn him to pieces long ago!” The study fell silent. Arthur listened, stunned by everything he’d just learned. He had no idea. He had never known he even had an aunt. He voiced the question in his heart. Grandpa… since when did I have an aunt?
