Stronger Every Time I Die
Hearing the great news, everyone engaged in the fierce battle was immediately energized, and their actions quickened. The helicopter approached rapidly, and from a distance, they could see the figures struggling against the wolf pack. In this deep, forested wilderness, the only figures that could appear were undoubtedly the ones they were searching for. The terrain matched the description given by the head of the bodyguards, Waylen. However, the number of wolves below exceeded their expectations! Waylen first contacted them, he had instructed them to bring plenty of shotguns. To be prepared, they not only brought shotguns but even carried some treasured explosives! But at the moment, with both sides engaged in close combat, those aboard the helicopter hesitated to use shotguns or drop explosives, afraid of hitting their own people. As the helicopter drew closer, the noise and the powerful airflow from the rotors hit them like a wave! Arthur and his team were prepared, but the wolves, accustomed to the quiet of the deep mountains, were truly startled. Hovering directly above them, the helicopter was huge and unfamiliar to the wolves. Instinctively, they sensed a strong danger, which slowed their movements. This slight pause allowed Arthur and his group to knock back the wolves surrounding them. At the same time, the helicopter landed not far from them. The wolves, unafraid but cautious of the helicopter, hesitated to approach. That was the moment! Arthur shouted, "Run! To the helicopter!" Instantly, they all sprinted away from the wolves, heading straight for the helicopter. The wolves quickly caught on and tried to follow, aiming to continue their attack, but the group had already distanced themselves and were met with a barrage of shotgun fire. The wolves were momentarily held back, allowing the group to board the helicopter safely. But they soon realized Arthur hadn't followed them!Right after giving the order, Arthur had sprinted in the opposite direction, toward the cabin. The battle had taken place in front of the cabin, and with Ashley being on the opposite side, she was the farthest from the helicopter. Her door was blocked by a dense crowd of wolves; she couldn't open it. As she grew anxious, she suddenly saw Arthur running toward her! Ashley gasped! Although Arthur took advantage of the distraction to run, there were so many wolves! How could he break through the pack to reach me? Without thinking, she yelled out, "Arthur! Don't come over! Get on the helicopter!" She was temporarily safe inside the house. Once Arthur was on the helicopter, they could think of a way to rescue her. But for Arthur to break through a pack of wolves to get to her was far too dangerous! Yet Arthur, as if deaf to her pleas, clenched his knife, his eyes already bloodshot. He slashed his way through, like a deity of war, carving a bloody path through the wolf pack! Ashley's heart trembled! She couldn't delay any longer. Immediately, she steadied her nerves, took up her shotgun, and started covering Arthur by taking down any immediate threats around him. The group of bodyguards was stunned by Arthur's ferocity! Seeing themselves safe, they felt a deep sense of shame. Their duty was to protect Arthur and Ashley, but they had fled, putting them in danger. This was not what bodyguards should do! But despite their shame, they weren't foolish enough to run out now and complicate the rescue. They steadied themselves, and Waylen clenched his teeth and quickly gave an order. "Raise the helicopter! We'll provide cover from above to help Mr. Gray get into the cabin!" Everyone responded in unison. "Yes!" Their voices were loud and clear, overwhelming even the loud noise of the helicopter. The helicopter rose steadily to an appropriate height, and they immediately took up shotguns, accurately targeting the wolves below. Waylen had the most precise aim, and he took charge of covering Arthur's surroundings. With the addition of the bodyguards, Arthur felt a huge relief. Many wolves were hit and fell, causing panic among the pack. The morale of the wolves plummeted! Driven by survival instincts, the wolves began to avoid the gunfire, easing Arthur's path even more. Finally, Arthur reached the front of the cabin. After kicking away the wolves still clinging to him, Ashley flung open the door. Arthur darted inside in a flash. The moment Arthur entered, Ashley slammed the door shut, blocking the wolves that followed close behind from entering.
