Stronger Every Time I Die
Sebastian was losing it! Just because he dedicated himself to finance research and lecturing didn’t mean he had no time to stay in shape! Even if he didn’t work out daily, he was still well-built. Compared to most men, he never fell short in physique! And yet, the way these two were talking, made it sound like he was some weakling! Especially Rowan—every single time he ran into her, she had him fuming in just a few sentences! Rowan just had a knack for driving people crazy! Without sparing them another glance, Rowan said directly, “I’m here for Arthur. Hand him over.” “What do you want with Arthur?” Devon asked. “I’m recruiting,” Rowan said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. That sentence immediately put them on high alert! The two shared a rare, knowing glance. Devon spoke cautiously. “Arthur’s just a high school senior. You’ve got the wrong guy.” Not that he thought he was any less capable than Rowan. But—she was undeniably attractive, with a striking presence and an incredible figure. Her personality was a bit eccentric, sure, but that never stopped guys from competing every year for a spot in her class. And Arthur? He was a teenage boy—young, full of hormones, and easily swayed. Who could say for sure he’d resist that kind of temptation? Sure, they knew Arthur was engaged, and his fiancée was beautiful too. But let’s be real—admiring a beautiful woman was just human nature. What guy didn’t like a gorgeous woman? Rowan and Ashley weren’t even the same type. Ashley was still young—there was a good ten-year age gap between them. There was no way she’d have the same kind of allure. Clearly, Sebastian and Devon were thinking the exact same thing.Almost unconsciously, they stepped in even closer, forming a solid wall in front of Arthur. Rowan lifted her chin arrogantly. “We usually only take college and graduate students, but if we find real talent, we make exceptions for high schoolers. I want him as my student. Enough with the stalling—hand him over.” As she spoke, she stepped forward, closing the distance between them. Since when did those two get so close? They were practically shoulder to shoulder! Two guys standing that close—either they were up to something, or there was some kind of secret involved. Rowan knew this all too well. As she closed in, Devon and Sebastian both tensed, alarmed. Arthur, still behind them, was being firmly held down, practically forced to crouch. He sighed, helpless yet amused. Even Ms. Rowan from Aetherflow Institute had shown up? Arthur had definitely heard of her. Despite her young age, she had made significant contributions in the field of biology. Not only was she highly accomplished, but she was also striking. Her reputation made Aetherflow Institute even more prestigious, and countless students dreamed of getting in. Aetherflow Institute had extremely high standards and rigorous admission requirements. Out of the entire population of Lioran, only a select few were accepted each year. But for those who made it in, their future was practically guaranteed. And now, this renowned figure—someone most people only knew from academic circles—was standing right here in his courtyard. If word got out, the entire city of Lioran would be in shock! Arthur wasn’t the only one in shock—Ashley was just as shaken. This day had completely overwhelmed her. Seeing Mr. Sebastian at the start was already shocking enough. The professor of Fusion University had traveled all this way himself. Since when did someone of his status personally recruit students? And yet, here he was, laptop in hand, ready to enroll them on the spot. But before she could even process that shock—Mr. Devon from Skyward Academy had shown up too. And if that wasn’t wild enough, the two were openly fighting over Arthur! Right now—Ms. Rowan from Aetherflow Institute had arrived too! Oh my god. What the h*ll was going on today? Ashley stared around in disbelief. Right now, in this small, ordinary courtyard, stood some of the most influential figures in all of Lioran. Every single person here was a major figure in Lioran—the kind of person whose decisions could impact the entire city. Meanwhile, in South City… Outside Arthur’s courtyard, the place had already exploded with excitement. An hour earlier… One rumor had spread like wildfire, and within minutes, the entire city was buzzing. “Oh my God! Mr. Sebastian, the professor of Fusion University, is personally in South City recruiting students!” “What? From Fusion University? And the professor himself? No way!” "It's true! I saw it with my own eyes! I’ve seen Mr. Sebastian from Fusion University in the newspapers before—he’s one of their most prestigious professors!" "No way! Fusion University actually sent someone in person? And there’s still plenty of time before the semester even starts!" “I overheard their conversation—Mr. Sebastian said it himself! Arthur has been out of town for a while, and they’ve been tracking him down for days before finally finding him in South City!” “Honestly, it makes sense. Arthur founded Cloudia Corporation while still in his teens, and the company has been growing at an insane speed. It’s not surprising that Fusion University wants him. But what’s crazy is that the professor himself showed up to recruit him in person!”
