Stronger Every Time I Die
Devon expression turned serious as he offered the most tempting condition. "Arthur, if you come to Skyward Academy, I will make an exception and take you as my personal protégé. I will personally train you to your full potential!" Devon words left everyone in shock. He was actually taking Arthur as his final disciple! In the past, every student Devon had ever taken in had undergone a rigorous selection process. Yet now, he was offering Arthur this honour without any examination?Wasn’t that a bit informal. Sebastian panicked. He quickly countered, "Everyone has their own path. Arthur is a business prodigy, he built Cloudia Corporation into a national powerhouse in just two years! This clearly proves that finance is where he truly excels!" Devon immediately refuted, "Who says so? That’s only because he hasn’t had the opportunity to showcase his talent in military strategy! If he joins my program, I will ensure his full potential shines!" "You underestimate finance! Without a stable economy, military research wouldn’t even be possible! Arthur has already demonstrated remarkable achievements in business without any formal education in finance. That’s undeniable proof of his true expertise!" Sebastian stood his ground! He regretted not bringing along other professors from their university! The three faculty members accompanying him chimed in, "Sebastian is right! Everyone has their strengths, and Arthur’s greatest talent clearly lies in finance and management. He belongs at Fusion University!" "Exactly! Arthur attending Fusion University would be the best choice for his future development!" Seeing that the other side was using sheer numbers to pressure their professor, the three men behind Devon couldn’t stay silent any longer. "There are plenty of businessmen in the world, but true military strategists are rare! We can’t afford to lose someone like Arthur!" "This isn’t about selfishness! It’s about choosing the right path based on Arthur’s strengths!" Neither side was willing to back down. Their fierce argument left Arthur and Ashley stunned. After a long pause, Arthur finally spoke. "Why don’t we all go inside and sit down?" They were still standing at the doorway, and curious onlookers had started to gather. Arthur didn’t want to be put on public display, nor did he want his home address exposed. At his suggestion, both groups begrudgingly relented. They didn’t want to make a spectacle of themselves either, especially Devon, who was rarely seen outside his research facility. This was the longest he had spent away from his work in years. Once inside, the relatively small living room became noticeably crowded. Fortunately, Arthur had enough chairs for everyone to sit down. Ashley hurriedly served tea to both sides. The moment Devon saw the crystal clear tea, he could already tell it was a top quality brew. Aside from research, tea appreciation was his one true passion. The sight of such fine tea immediately soothed his earlier frustration with Sebastian. But before he could take a sip, Sebastian rushed forward, laptop in hand, and placed it directly in front of Arthur. "Arthur, let’s register your information in our system right away. This way, you won’t have to line up for enrolment later." His tone was calm and persuasive. As long as Arthur was entered into our system, he would officially belong to Fusion University. No one else would be able to claim him! Hearing this, Devon forgot all about his tea. He slammed the cup down and snatched the laptop right out of Sebastian hands! "You sly fox! Trying to pull a fast one while I’m distracted!" He glanced at the laptop screen. "You really came prepared! Bringing the enrolment system directly here? That’s underhanded!" Sebastian stared at his empty hands, momentarily dumbfounded. He hadn’t expected this brute to snatch his laptop so boldly! He quickly recovered and lunged forward to take it back. "You old brute! How dare you snatch my property! That’s theft!" In the past, Sebatian had always shown great respect for Devon. They had even invited him to give guest lectures at Fusion University. But now, with such a valuable student at stake, all courtesy was thrown out the window! However, Devon despite his age, had maintained a rigorous fitness routine for years. His well toned physique made him far more agile than Sebastian. Effortlessly dodging Sebastian attempts, he swiftly shut the laptop. Sebastian was furious beyond words.
