Stronger Every Time I Die

Chapter 159 Her Wonderful Experience

Cloudia Corporation was no longer the small office it once was. Now, the entire skyscraper belonged to Cloudia Corporation. Arthur casually asked the man behind him, "How's the news spreading?" Stanley responded respectfully, "Mr. Gray, everything is going exactly as planned. The Gray family is now utterly reviled by the public." "Good." Arthur's voice remained steady, as if this was all within his expectations. "How many businesses are still working with the Gray family?" he asked next. "Not many. Only a handful of small firms that think they're too insignificant for Cloudia Corporation's attention are still hesitating." Arthur nodded, already planning his next move. This was the perfect time. The real estate boom, the rise of smart technology, and the explosion of the digital information era were just beginning. The funds in his accounts were more than enough to make a major play. Everyone assumed that, now that Cloudia Corporation had grown, Arthur would follow the conventional path, expanding into major cities, opening branch offices, and solidifying dominance in his industry. But Arthur was never one to follow expectations. His ambitions extended far beyond his own field. As he laid out his strategy, Stanley was taken aback. "Mr. Gray, no one is investing in these sectors right now. Their future prospects look bleak. Are you sure you want to invest so much money into them?" A faint smile tugged at Arthur's lips. "Don't underestimate these industries just because they seem insignificant now. In a few years, you'll see them in an entirely different light." Seeing the unwavering confidence in Arthur's expression, Stanley felt his concerns ease. For two years now, Arthur's foresight had been terrifyingly accurate. Every project he set his sights on turned into a massive success. That was exactly how Cloudia Corporation had skyrocketed in such a short time.By the time Arthur finally stepped out of his office, it was already late at night. In the lounge, Ashley was waiting for him. "Ashley?" "Arthur!" She immediately stood up from the couch, her radiant face breaking into a bright smile. After last night, there was a new allure to her, a touch of maturity that made her even more captivating. She naturally slipped her arm around Arthur's. "When did you get here? Why didn't you come in?" "I saw you were busy and didn't want to disturb you." Her soft voice carried a hint of playfulness. Around Arthur, Ashley always turned into a delicate, affectionate girl. As they talked, Tammy walked in from the other side. Seeing the two so close, she covered her mouth with a chuckle. "Mr. Gray, Ms. Gibson, I'd say your relationship has taken a turn." Tammy was no longer the inexperienced receptionist from before. Arthur had recognized her exceptional skills and promoted her to Stanley's assistant. Now dressed in a professional suit, she exuded a mature charm that wasn't there two years ago. Hearing Tammy's remark, Ashley instantly thought of last night's passion. She still felt the lingering soreness in her body. Her face flushed red as she lowered her head in embarrassment. Like a newly blossomed flower, just a few words were enough to make her blush. Arthur glanced down at Ashley's reddened face. Her soft hands clung to his arm, her curves pressing against him. The sight stirred something in him again. Clearing his throat, he quickly turned to Tammy. "You should head home early." Then, looking back at Ashley, he said, "Let's go home."The words "go home" sent a subtle shiver through Ashley's heart. She didn't respond, only giving the slightest nod. Though she was still a little sore, last night had been the most wonderful experience of her life. She didn't resist it. In fact, she found herself secretly looking forward to more. With Tammy's knowing smile behind them, Arthur and Ashley stepped into the elevator. There was no one else inside, just the two of them. Arthur couldn't help himself. Wrapping an arm around Ashley, his hand slipped to a soft spot, giving a teasing squeeze. Ashley gasped, her entire body tensing. She quickly grabbed his hand, scolding him in a hushed tone. "There are cameras in here!" Arthur smirked. "Not in this corner." Ashley trembled even more at his words. His hand refused to behave, but with the cameras watching, she had no choice but to keep a straight face. Still, her blush deepened, and her breath grew uneven. Just as she was about to lose her composure, the elevator dinged. She hastily straightened her clothes and practically bolted out. Arthur followed, leaning in to whisper mischievously, "What's wrong? Can't wait to get home?"
