♡ Mia's pov ♡ Have you ever wished that the moment you're in right at this very second was just a terrible, annoying, but terrible, embarrassing dream? Just a dream. But of course, reality kicks you in the balls, only that I had no balls because well I was a girl and a girl has a vagina, boobs okay I'm going off topic. But what I'm trying to say is that I wished this was all a dream. One I'll wake up from and be very happy that it was in fact a dream and not reality. But sometimes wishes don't come true. And now, as I pray silently, pinching myself harshly and looking at mom like she was some sort of alien spirit who had taken over my mother's body, I only wished that this wish for this to be a dream was actually true. And dammit. It wasn't. "Well, the space looks good enough. Unless the guy has a huge load." Mom snorts as she pulls the tip of the condom a little more to give more 'space.' I cringe unable to hide that one from my face. I twisted my skin again, hoping I'd 'wake up', only to be disappointed to see that I was still there, staring at my mom fixing a condom on a cucumber. The sound of feet nearing kind of made me feel uneasy and perhaps it had to do with the fact that I was absolutely embarrassed that mom was giving me the sex talk right now. I pressed my elbows on the countertop surface and hold my cheeks in the palm of my hand as I pray that it wouldn't be Kade who was making a beeline for the kitchen and that it would be- "Good morning....." At the ending of his greeting, Kade's voice filtered into a drawled out confused voice. Great. Just great. "Good morning Kade! Did you sleep well?" Mom chirps, still pinching the tip of the condom. But I couldn't help but notice the pitch of amusement in her voice when she greeted him back. "Uh..." Kade drawled unsurely and pressed my hands to my face more firmly because I was utterly humiliated to face him right now. I could feel him walk closer to me, basically feel his heat and shivered slightly when his arm brush against mine as he fixes himself on a stool beside mine. Mom's eyes must've caught that action because she stared at our arms and then flicked her eyes up to me. Her gaze worded out something I couldn't decipher. I leaned away from Kade a little so she would not piece everything out so quickly. " I guess I did." Kade answered her previous question and I was sure he was staring at the 'protected' cucumber in mom's hand. I mean who wouldn't? Mom nods with a little smile playing on her lips. "That's so good to hear. Last night was a very peaceful night. It would've been a shame if no one had a good sleep." Her eyes dart between the two of us and I squirm. Mom was acting really weird. Then her eyes fall to the cucumber and it's like something connects the missing puzzle piece in her brain. "Well then, now that you're both here, it's easier to give both of you that talk." Her words had me cringing badly and I was sure I looked like someone who ate something sour or bitter. She points the head of the cucumber Kade's way. "You're a teenage boy and I'm not sure if you've ever had the talk yet but basically the aim is to get you both educated." Now she points the head of the cucumber my way and I'm forced to stare at a cucumber with a condom on. "As I was telling Mia here. It would be best to avoid any complications that come with unprotected sex. So make sure the guy's penis is wrapped up before any action. " I groan, wanting to bury my face in my hands. I didn't want to peek at Kade's face but I was sure he was spotting a look of embarrassment just as I was. "Always leave a little space at the tip Kade. And make sure to change condoms if you end up going at it more than once." Mom says as she pulls at the tip of the condom slightly to show Kade how much space he should leave. But this time I couldn't resist and managed to cover my eyes with my hands and groaned in embarrassment. "Mom please stop." I pleaded desperately. "This is fairly important Mia!" She exaggerated and I was just about to answer her, perhaps express my discomfort of listening to her give me the talk whilst Kade was here. I know, I was being a hypocrite since Kade and I were very familiar with the act of sex. But surely this was as embarrassing as it was for her too.But as I removed my hands from my face and looked over at her with the intention to voice out my discomfort, another sound of feet entering the kitchen stopped me. This time I did look to see who entered and was slightly relieved that it was dad and not Austin. Mom would've surely scarred him with the condom around the cucumber. "Good morn- Dad stops, walking in further, his eyes falling on the cucumber in mom's hands. His lips lifted slightly in amusement. "Baby, what's going on?" He asked but it was clear he knew exactly what his wife was up to. Mom's cheeks surprisingly turns a color pink. "I'm giving Mia and Kade the bird and the bees talk." She says sheepishly finally dropping the cucumber on the counter. I never felt more relieved in my life. Fingers crossed dad would distract her and have her forget about this talk. But somehow I doubted that, not with the amused look he sported. "I think it's about time I talked to her about what happens between a girl and boy. Especially since she's now a teenager, " Mom admitted, sending me a sheepish look. "Mia's growing up and soon she'll have a boyfriend of her own- "Over my dead body." Dad cuts off mom with a slightly annoyed tone, the amusement now gone in his eyes. "No guy will ever come near my baby girl. Not while I'm still alive and kicking." He grumbles, walking over to mom with a displeased expression. "You can't be serious Haiden! Do you expect her to grow old and not have had a single boyfriend her entire life?!" Mom exasperated, lifting her hands in exaggeration. Dad nods, looking down at the cucumber. "That's exactly what I'm saying. No guy, she'll remain my innocent little girl forever." Mom looks troubled as she pouts. "But I want grandbabies Haiden!" Dad removes his gaze from the cucumber to look at his wife. "If it's another baby you want Bella I'll be happy to give you another one. But this-" He stops to point at the cucumber. "There will be none of this near twizzler." Mom shook her head, seeming to be getting annoyed. "Do you really think you can stop her from getting a boyfriend Haiden? You can't monitor her twenty four seven!" I couldn't believe they were arguing about my sex life in front of me like I wasn't here. And for the love of God, Kade was also here! Dad's eyes shift from irritated to anger as he nudges his chin towards Kade. "I'll have Kade shoo away those little shits in the school that think they have a single chance with my baby girl-" He turns to mom and then something flashes in his eyes before he goes to grab a knife. We all stare at him shocked but I think I was truly unprepared when he literally cuts the cucumber with the condom included in half. "And if any of them so much as think they can come here to confess or try to persuade her to go on a date with them, I'll just do this." He sets the knife down and stares at the cut cucumber as if it was now a masterpiece. I gulped and for the first time since he came into the kitchen I looked over at him. Kade looks like he was ready to barf as the color drained from his face entirely. "No one is worthy of my daughter."
