My Best Friend’s Brother Was Never Supposed to Taste Me

Chapter 384

♡ Mia's pov ♡ Kade finally enters the car and I resist throwing him out. What the hell was he playing at? Touching me like that in front of my parents even though they couldn't see. I don't even bother acknowledging that he was seated in front instead of the back. " I'm angry with you," The words slipped out of my mouth and I didn't try much to stop them. Kade buckles then fix his tie. He looks over at me and had the nerve to look at me confused. "Why?" I let out a sharp huff. " Because you kissed me!" I snapped, the hands on the wheel gripping it so tightly I was afraid I'd break my fingers. Kade clicks his tongue, and kept on fixing his tie as he turns away from me. " Oh that," He says dryly. Raising my brows in shock at his unbothered attitude, I scowled. " Yes, that!" He gives me a quick glance before turning away. " I don't see why you're upset. I gave you what you wanted. It's not like you didn't enjoy it." He was right, I did enjoy it. But he was a bit too arrogant and out of line. I didn't beg him to kiss me, he did it on his own free will. " What I wanted? I don't remember asking you to kiss me, Kade! Or touch me!" I snapped. Should I strangle him with the seat belt? No Mia. You're not a murderer. He shrugs nonchalantly, smoothing down the tie he fixed. " So what? Your eyes said differently. Your body said differently. I just decided to kill two birds with one stone. Your lips have now been kissed so you won't walk the school hallways embarrassed. " His words made me seethe with anger curling in my belly. " You think you did me a favor?" I snorted angrily, starting the car and drove out of the parking space. " You think you had the right to kiss me without my permission- My foot pressed on the accelerator. " You didn't exactly pull away Red. " He grunts annoyed. Suddenly my foot pushes against the breaks and the car comes to a complete halt. "What the fu- " Kade starts but I cut him off furiously."Get out!" I growled. Kade turns to stare at me gobsmacked. Good. I wish I could smack him. "You find your own way to school. You're not incompetent, remember?" I barked, glaring at his beautiful eyes. Focus Mia. You need to show him that he can't just kiss you as he pleases and act like he was doing you a favor. Kade's eyes turn a stormy blue and no matter how stormy they got and lost the spark, they can still mesmerize you. They were like magic honestly. And I would be lying if they weren't shattering my resolve. "Fine," He spat furiously, unbuckling the seat belt and opened the door. Going out with his bag gripped tightly, Kade slams the door harshly. "Watch it!" I snapped. " Be on your way," He sneered, motioning to the road with an unbothered expression. "Fine," I scowled. "Fine!" He snapped. Huffing in irritation I stepped on the accelerator and drove off. I don't dare look in the rearview mirror, afraid I'd succumb to him. I needed to show him that he can't treat me like a charity case. He can't go around kissing me even though I fucking loved it so much. I won't have him act like he was obligated to be my first kiss so I wouldn't feel humiliated walking the school hallway. I was sure the entire school know I was an unkissed senior by now. It wasn't bothering me as much as it had done last night. Well I was certainly kissed now. Damn him for doing this to me. I let out a frustrated sigh as I drove away. The further I got from where I dropped him off, the more my tummy sinks. I felt undoubtedly awful but this had to be done. He can't just come here and shift my world in just a couple of days. He wasn't truly a God like everyone thought he was. Ten minutes into the drive and I'm pulling up to Colby's. I parked beside the curb and leaned back against the seat, pushing out a heavy breath. My mind was clogged up. Worst than a drainer. I itched painfully to go back to pick up Kade. And I felt extremely bad. In fact, I felt like a bitch.Colby opens the door suddenly and I'm startled as I had been too lost in my own mind. I place a hand on my furiously beating heart and sent a look of startlement Colby's way. "Geez, who did you think it was, Pennywise?" He snorted, running a hand through his blonde strands as he enters. I don't say anything and of course Colby finds it strange of me. Buckling his seat belt he faces me fully. " Why do you look like the grinch? Minus the dark hair." I sighed. " Is it pick at how I look day?" "Ooh someone's in a mood. Speaking of...." He trails, eyes connecting to the rearview mirror and his brow furrows. " Mia I think we have a problem. Mr. Hot and moody is missing." Colby gasped, turning around in his seat and skims his eyes over every corner of the seat. Did he think Kade had magically turned tiny and got lost in one of the spaces of the seat? Groaning lowly, I confessed as the guilt ate me alive. " He hasn't gone missing. I dropped him off somewhere." I mumble. "Dropped him off somewhere? " Colby trails in confusion as he slowly turns to face me. One look at my guilt ridden face and his brows shot up. Not close to his hairline, that would be to cliche, just like most of the book. Okay back to the story author..... Colby looks at me in horror. " You didn't!" I cringe, lifting one shoulder into a shrug. " Kinda yelled at him to get out," I admitted, the words were like a bad taste in my mouth, making me feel even more awful. "What for!?" Colby yelled in horror. I couldn't tell him that Kade kissed me last night and that I was furious that he thought it was some kind of favor. So I settled for a tiny white lie. I wouldn't go to hell for it, would I? " He drank all the milk," Colby looked at me like I had grown an extra head with many balls.....I mean horns. " For milk Mia? You abandoned the guy because of some milk? What about juice girl? No one drinks milk in the morning anymore!" " I do! I do drink milk in the morning!" I huffed. He wasn't making this easier. " Well you better go back to get him or I'm telling your mom you abandoned the poor guy, " Colby threatened. "So you won't be getting any milk for the rest of the week."Sighing with a nod, I started the car and made a u-turn, and raced down the road. But then a familiar car comes into our view and I narrowed my eyes. I could spot those eyes anywhere. " Kade?" Colby questions in confusion as he too watches Brian's car drive past us. I nodded, my tongue heavy. Brianna's arm was around him with her nearly in the middle of the front seats between her brother and Kade. It wasn't safe for her to be like this, but I guess she didn't care. My jaw ticked in anger and jealousy.
