My Best Friend’s Brother Was Never Supposed to Taste Me

Chapter 383

♡ Mia's pov ♡ And just like that I felt a rush of cold water being thrown on me. You're welcome? What the hell? I looked at Kade lost, my lips feeling bruised from how much he tortured them. Kade notices my confusion and chuckled lowly. "You're welcome for giving you your first kiss." I felt like I had been slapped. Bitch slapped to be more precise. My lost look quickly transforms into one of anger. My palms get ready to push him off of me but he does it on his own. I sit up quickly, scowling as I looked at his slightly swollen lips. " Who gave you the right to come in here and kiss me, you...." I stopped, searching for a good word to make him feel awful. " You jerk!" Jerk? Really Mia? All you could come up with is, jerk? Kade's eyes turned to mischief as he licks his bottom lip. " Might want to keep your voice down. Don't want your mom knowing I just took her daughter's first kiss." "Might give her the impression that I took more than a kiss...." He trailed off, eyes going smokey as they skim down my body. He bites his bottom lip, groaning lowly. " Red," He groans faintly. Either he was referring to the red panties and bra I had on or he was just calling me by that stupid nickname. I scowled nastily and gripped one of my pillows and hurl it at his head. He manages to duck out of the way, laughing. I couldn't help it, but I found the sound so pleasing. I think it was the first time I've ever heard him laugh. Especially with so much emotion. I stared at him perplexed and frozen. He had just taken my lip's virginity and I couldn't find a single bone in my body angry with him. That is until he spoke again. Kade stops laughing, his upper lip tilting up into a grin as he turns around and heads for the door. " See you tomorrow, Red." I stared at his back, still a little shocked that he kissed me and acted like it wasn't a big deal. With his hand on the knob, he unlocks it and turns it. Looking over his shoulder, a playful look flashes in the depths of his eyes. "Might want to change into some clean panties, Red. I'm pretty sure the ones you have on are a little, wet." With a tiny cocky grin, he walks out of the door, leaving me staring at the door in shock. Morning came quickly and I confess I didn't have the best sleep after what happened between Kade and I last night. A few times it crept into my head that maybe it was a dream. A very good dream I'd not want to wake up from. But then my fingers lift to brush against my swollen lips and his taste was still set on my tongue. It wasn't a dream or an illusion. Kade really did kiss me last night after the bonfire. I sighed walking down the last few steps. When I'm at the bottom, a smaller body weighs on my back and I nearly topple to the floor. " Morning sissy," Austin yells close to my ear, his tiny arms circling around my neck. "Austin," I gasped, my hands gripping onto his arms so he'd not manage to choke me. Austin laughs in my ear and slackens his arm around my neck before sliding off me. I turn around to pin him with an angry glare. " What the hell brat?" His features shift into one of mischief and he shrugs. " Now we're even and I forgive you." I narrowed my eyes down at the little twit. " I nearly fell over, with you might I add. And you choked me! " Austin smacks his forehead and shakes his head while breathing out in frustration. " And I thought you got a few brain cells in that big head. Must've been wrong," Shrugging he walks around me and disappeared into the kitchen area. Marching behind him, Mom's face greeted me. She beams. "Morning my loves- " Austin choked me mom! " I hissed, glaring at the toad who races behind mom to supposedly 'hide'. He peeks his head behind mom and pokes out his tongue obnoxiously. Mom sighs, mumbling something about crazy kids before speaking more clearly. " Austin why did you do that to your sister?" "I did not mom! I only gave her a hug!" He whines, circling his arm around mom's midriff. He knew all the right moves to have our parents wrapped around his finger. I wished I had that much power. "Yeah a hug to my neck. And I could've died!" I snapped walking in further to settle my bum on a stool. Austin peeks behind mom again and rolls his eyes. " You're so dramatic Mia." "And you're a brat!" I countered back." Hey you two, none of that. Austin apologize to your sister." Mom breathes out. "But mom I didn't do it- "Austin I pushed you out. I think I know my own son don't you think? Which means I can tell when you're lying. " I sent Austin a cocky smile which he glowers at. "Sorry Mia," He seethed between clenched teeth. I grin giggling at his angry little face. He can be a little brat but I love him to death. Hopefully he'd not try to choke me again. "Good morning my little family, " Dad yawns walking into the kitchen, hands stretched high above his head. My eyes zeroed in on the sweats he wore. My brows furrow. " Dad, aren't you going to work today?" He lazily walks up to mom and hugs her, kissing on top of her head before ruffling Austin's hair. " No. I decided to have a day off." He smiles down at mom and I didn't miss the secretive gleam that pass between the two. Raising a brow I look between my parents. " And let me guess, you're staying home to mom?" Mom blushes as I put her on the spot. I giggle. When they needed time for each other alone, they'd take a day off to spend as much time as they can. I think it was nice. Their relationship was beautiful. I craved that someday. An image of Kade with a mischievous gleam in his eyes pops into my head. And here I thought he couldn't show any emotion. I bitch slap that image out of my head, knowing that I shouldn't think so far into the future. Especially when it came to him. Dad looks at me. " You look tired. I guess it's not too shocking especially when you were out last night partying it up." I cringe. "Oh....mom told you. Before you say anything, I did not drink, didn't grind on anyone and came home before ten." I said proudly straightening my spine. Austin moves away from mom and struts over to one of the stools beside me. " You both know she's lying right? Look at her face-" He points an accusing finger at my cheek. " She looks rebellious. My money's on, she got so drunk that she mistook a tree for a boy and made out with it. Maybe that's why she looks like a raccoon." Both dad and Austin burst out in fits of laughter. I looked at mom for help and she smiles. "Don't worry baby, you're a very cute raccoon."Dad and Austin's laughter grew louder. I puffed out my cheeks. "Mom not helping," I whined and dropped my head in my arms on the kitchen island. " Don't worry, Mia did none of that. I kept an eye on her." I felt my breath catch sharply in my throat as I heard his very masculine and alluring voice. My stomach cramp and I quickly lift my head. I'm not the only one shocked at Kade willingly joining the conversation. My mom's mouth is gaped and my dad looked kinda lost. Even Austin looks shocked. I stiffen when I felt his heat brush behind me until he settles himself on the stool beside me. His big thigh brushed against mine and I bit my tongue. Coming out of her state of shock, mom spoke up. "Oh good morning Kade. Thank you for keeping an eye on her for us." She smiles gratefully. I could see in her eyes how much it meant to her that he was willingly speaking to her. Kade nods from my peripheral vision. I kept my gaze trained to the front, not wanting to look at the boy who was tormenting my feelings. " You can trust her with me." There's a hidden meaning behind his words but I can't seem to piece it together. None of us could. Kade's big arm suddenly land on my thigh, so close to that place that throbbed. I held my breath, shocked by his bold move and happy that my parents couldn't see it. " So what's for breakfast? I have to say, I'm starving." He grumbles, squeezing my thigh.
