The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 664 I'm Going to Meet Him

Rosaline's POV: I gave a slight nod. Before I could speak, Naomi, who had been standing in front of me, suddenly rushed off to the restroom, the sound of her vomiting echoing from within. I shook my head, a bitter smile tugging at my lips. She had already consumed quite a bit of alcohol, and now her emotions were in turmoil, causing her body to revolt in response. The ongoing sounds of her vomiting made my brows furrow. Glancing at the scattered bottles on the floor, I couldn't help but silently curse Naomi in my mind. "Alpha, are you talking bad about her?" Freya teased with a playful grin. "I never realized how complicated feelings could be," I answered, only to be met with a burst of laughter from Freya. "The person involved is always the most confused. You, with Caden, are no different from this girl," she remarked. I rolled my eyes inwardly at Freya's words. Naomi emerged from the restroom, her face drained of color. Upon seeing my disapproving expression, she nervously ran her fingers through her hair. "Are you really going to meet him looking like this?" I gave Naomi a quick once-over and asked. "I'll clean up," she murmured softly. I said, shaking my head with a sigh, "Just take care of yourself. The company will give you a few days off, so make sure to have a proper talk with Samuel." Naomi's face brightened with surprise at my words, but then she quickly looked regretful. "I'm sorry, Rosaline." I replied firmly, "If you're sorry, then show it by working hard. Naomi, this is your last chance. If you dare skip work or act recklessly again, the company won't waste any more resources on you. Understand?" Naomi nodded vigorously, even raising her hand as if swearing, "I promise to work hard from now on! I won't let the company down for investing in me." "Enough with the excuses, just focus on how you're going to face him later," I said, tapping her forehead gently with a serious tone. Naomi's eyes shifted for a moment before a small smile finally appeared on her face. "I don't expect him to forgive me. I just want to apologize for how immature I was back then." "Once you've settled your matters, let me know. There's been a lot of talk about you online. While the company has done its best with public relations, the impact is not significant. Ultimately, you might have to address it yourself." This was a plan I had been considering for some time, but I hadn't expected things to become this complicated. Thankfully, it hadn't spiraled too far. I believe Naomi can handle this on her own. "I'm sorry for all the trouble this has caused the company. I'll make a statement," Naomi said, blinking at me. I didn't respond further and turned to leave. Downstairs, Jasper and Sandra were still waiting. As soon as they saw me, Sandra rushed over. "What happened? What's going on?" "It's all settled," I said with a shake of my head. After a brief pause, I added, "There's been a lot of public opinion swirling online recently, and it's been affecting her." My company doesn't interfere with the personal matters of its artists, so I didn't share all the details either. Sandra immediately connected the dots and nodded, understanding Naomi's recent odd behavior. "Let her take a few days to rest and get her mind back on track. I'll speak with the director's team about the situation," I said, glancing over at Jasper. "It'll be a bit of a burden on you for now. We might need to separate your scenes and shoot them in advance." Jasper gave a slight nod, his gaze locked on my face. Recalling Naomi's words, I held Jasper's stare. He appeared taken aback for a brief moment, but by the time he reacted, I had already turned my eyes elsewhere. "We should get back to work," I said. "I'll give you a ride," Jasper said, swiftly pulling open the car door. I immediately shook my head. "There's no need. I will head back with Sandra. You go on to the set." Jasper's POV:As I watched the car drive away, a bitter sigh escaped me. I turned to get into my car, only to spot Naomi coming down from upstairs. Our eyes met briefly, and Naomi was the first to break the silence, giving me a nod. "How are you feeling?" I asked. "Much better," Naomi replied, her voice still a bit raspy from clearing her throat. "I'm sorry for taking off so suddenly. I must have caused you a lot of trouble." "No, I should apologize. I've caused you quite a bit of trouble," I said with calm sincerity. "Yeah, sorry about that," Naomi repeated her apology. At a loss for words, we both fell silent, just looking at each other. As I wondered whether to ask Naomi where she was headed, she spoke up unexpectedly. "Thank you, Jasper." "Thank me for what?" I asked, confused. "Consider it a thank you for helping me understand so much," Naomi said. Before I could respond, she waved and left. "Bye!" I stood motionless, watching her retreating figure as she ran off.
