The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 651 Dangerous Emotions

I froze when I heard the conversation. Before I could catch more, the elevator doors shut, cutting off the voices. A strange feeling rose inside me. I looked at my phone, which was still off, and noticed that my hands were shaking. I quickly headed out and approached the front desk. "Excuse me, could I see the news about the recent car crash?" I asked anxiously. The two staff members looked surprised but handed me a phone anyway. I stared at my phone, hoping for good news. But then, I saw the photo of the wrecked car and the license plate I knew so well. A loud ringing filled my ears, and I almost lost my footing. The front desk staff noticed my pale face and asked softly, "Miss, are you alright?" But I wasn't listening. My head was spinning as I tapped on my phone. Samuel had sent dozens of messages and calls. My chat box was full. I clicked on the latest voice message. "Naomi, I'm on my way—" But then, I heard tires screeching, followed by a loud crash and the sound of glass breaking. It echoed in my ears. My chest tightened like something was crushing it. I could barely breathe. How could this be real? I didn't want to believe it. "Naomi, why are you just standing here ... " Sandra walked into the hall and noticed me. But before she could finish, I bolted. "Hey! Where are you off to now?" she shouted behind me. "Something happened to Samuel!" I yelled back, sprinting out the door. Rosaline's POV: The holiday with Caden had finally wrapped up. I stretched my arms, closed my work laptop, and sank into the chair with a sigh."I'm so exhausted," I muttered. Suddenly, a mouthwatering smell wafted through the air, making me hungry. I shuffled into the dining room in my slippers and saw Caden cooking. A few dishes were already on the table, and they smelled amazing. I took a seat, smiling at him while he moved around the kitchen. He turned with a plate, saw me watching, and came over, messing up my hair playfully. "All done?" I nodded, jumped up, and clung to him like a koala. "You're amazing, Caden." I leaned close and whispered, teasing, "You were just like a devoted wife back there." He raised an eyebrow and put his arm around my waist. "Well, handsome, what if I became the breadwinner instead?" I joked, tapping his chin like I was being flirty. Caden chuckled and played along, even putting on a submissive face. "Sure." He played along so well that I got completely caught up in the act. I reached out and cupped Caden's face. "So, what are you good at? Better show me, or I might end up disappointed." Caden chuckled and leaned in, his voice low and teasing. "Or you could join me in bed. I'll show you everything there." His flirty reply made my cheeks burn. I gave his chest a push, but he pulled me in and suddenly lifted me onto the table. "Tell me what you want. I'll do my best to give it to you." Hiding my face against his chest, I mumbled, "You hooligan." "How am I a hooligan? You asked first," he said with a smirk. His voice dropped again. "And I promise you won't be disappointed." I was completely flustered and didn't know what to say. Every time I tried teasing Caden, he'd always find a way to turn the tables. Even though he looked calm and serious as the Eclipse Pack's heir, he was actually full of playful tricks. "Enough of that. Let's eat," I said, giving his arm a light pat, hoping he'd let go.But he didn't move and just kept holding me close. "What now?" I raised an eyebrow, unsure what he was thinking. Out of nowhere, he leaned in and pressed his lips against mine, kissing me fiercely and deeply. I was shocked by Caden's sudden passion and tried to pull away, but he held me tightly and wouldn't let go. "Caden ... " I could barely breathe as he kissed me, a moan escaping my lips. But he didn't stop. His lips trailed along my face and neck, and he suddenly bit the back of my neck. Was he trying to mark me? "Caden!" The sharp pain snapped me back to my senses. I pushed him away forcefully. He frowned at my reaction and suddenly gripped my wrist, staring straight at me. "Caden, what's wrong with you?" I asked, starting to feel like something was off. Caden shook his head and rubbed his forehead like he was in discomfort. "Let's eat," he said, his voice low and rough. As I walked to the other side of the table, I glanced back at him. Just when I was about to say something, his eyes locked onto mine. His eyes suddenly turned red, and the look he gave me felt menacing.
