The Despised Luna's Comeback
"Caden, you pervert." I pouted and turned my head away from Caden. To my surprise, he actually showed an innocent expression, as if he was confused. "Hey, I just wanted to give you a massage since you said you weren't feeling well. How am I a pervert?" "You!" I glared at Caden, speechless from what he said. "Or maybe you want something else?" Caden slowly leaned down and asked flirtatiously. He looked at my lips, and he gulped. I didn't resist either. I took the initiative to kiss Caden. Unconsciously, my hand gripped Caden's arm, and I felt his body tense in an instant. I felt butterflies in my stomach. I then grabbed his face and looked into his eyes. "What's wrong?" "Nothing." Caden lowered his head as he placed light kisses on my neck, but I knew something was wrong. So I turned my head and immediately saw the wound on Caden's arm. My expression froze. My hands pressed against Caden's chest as I asked, "You're injured?" Caden didn't try to hide it either. He straightened up and calmly said, "It's just a minor injury. I've handled it myself." I didn't believe what he said, so I started to inspect his wound. It was about half the length of a palm, and the outer back of his arm looked like it had been scratched by something sharp. Although it was no longer bleeding, it didn't look fine. "How did you handle it?" I asked with a frown. I narrowed my eyes when he didn't speak. "Did you just simply clean it up?" "I got some disinfectant from Phoebe," Caden replied obediently. Phoebe Baldwin was the female werewolf doctor who came with him this time. She had treated me when I was drugged previously. My face darkened when I heard that. "It's just a minor injury," Caden said softly. "Is this how you used to treat minor injuries?" I raised an eyebrow. Caden knew my concerns. He sighed lightly and finally gave in. "Alright, Wifey. Can you help me with it? It's a bit painful." "Who are you calling your Wifey?" I rolled my eyes as I got up to get the first aid kit. However, there were no such items in the room. I stood up and said, "I'll go buy some iodine and gauze." Caden got up and indicated that he wanted to go with me. There was a pharmacy not far from where we lived. We walked side by side. I also bought some food. However, on the way back, I suddenly slowed down. I glanced at Caden, who nodded slightly. We had both already noticed it. Someone was following us. I subtly moved my fingers, and the string of the paper bag I was holding broke. I pretended to be surprised and stopped to adjust it. As I turned around, I took a quick look around. I immediately spotted the werewolves following us. "There are two of them," I whispered to Caden as I slowly turned back. He nodded slightly. He reached out to take the bag from my hand. We both continued to walk casually. Suddenly, a werewolf approached us from not far away with a smile on his face. "Sorry for interrupting, are you two a couple?" The werewolf was smiling too much, which seemed overly enthusiastic. "What do you want?" I asked carefully. "Oh, don't be scared. I mean no harm. I'm a waiter at the cafe ahead, and the cafe is offering a free afternoon tea for couples." He pointed to his name tag, which indeed read "waiter." "Let's check it out," I said as I saw the two werewolves approaching behind us. I held Caden's hand and smiled. I was curious to see what these people were up to. We followed the werewolf waiter down a street and arrived at the cafe. I glanced around and saw no other shops nearby."This is it." The werewolf waiter smiled, pointing to a sign at the entrance that indeed advertised a special offer for couples. I was intrigued by what they were up to. Following the werewolf waiter, the bell at the door rang as we entered. I glanced around and saw about six or seven werewolves sitting in the shop, all of them turning to look at us as we walked in. "You can sit here," the werewolf waiter pointed to a seat for us; it was almost the furthest from the door. "Oh, we want takeout." I smiled. My gaze then landed on his wrist, where there was a tattoo. I felt like I had seen that tattoo somewhere before. The werewolf waiter also noticed my gaze and quickly pulled his hand behind his back. His smile faltered for a second. "The food here is made fresh, so takeout wouldn't taste as good," he explained. "In that case, I'll pass. It's free after all." I waved my hand. As I turned to leave, I noticed the entrance was already blocked.
