The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 640 Tie You by My Side

He found a large board with a few survivors on it. I let out a sigh of relief. I then pushed the werewolf teen toward it, and we both got on the board with Caden. Caden carefully examined me, and when he saw that I was unharmed, his frown relaxed a little. "I'm fine, how about you?" I squeezed Caden's shoulder as I asked with concern. Caden shook his head, and I finally felt relieved. The storm had subsided, and we were temporarily safe. "When the tornado struck, the people on the cruise had already gotten in touch with someone on the island," Caden said in a steady voice. "There are also folks on the island who are aware of what happened today and will send out rescue teams in time. So, there's no need to worry." After that, we kept drifting on the board, carried by the waves. Just as Caden predicted, we floated for only a few hours before rescue crews arrived by boat to pick us up. By then, the sky had already started to brighten, and once we reached the shore, the waiting medical staff gave us towels and water. It was at this moment that I saw the werewolf teen I had saved at sea walking toward me. He stood in front of me and blocked my view. "Thank you," he said somewhat awkwardly while scratching his cheek. "No problem." I looked at him; he was handsome and charming, with a look that could make it big in the entertainment industry. "I ... I'm Loren Bailey. May I know your name?" Loren blushed a hint of shyness, and he avoided eye contact with me. Upon hearing this, I was taken aback, as I thought he was here to thank me, but now it seemed that he might have developed feelings for me. Because he didn't get an answer from me, Loren lifted his head only to see me smiling and turning to look at Caden approaching us. "You can call me Mrs. Holbrook." I winked and held Caden's hand. Caden glanced at Loren and said nothing. He simply held my hand as we walked away. Noticing Caden's silence, I tilted my head slightly and asked, "Jealous?"Caden raised an eyebrow, then suddenly pulled me into his arms, burying his head in the crook of my neck as he murmured, "I really want to tie you to my side." "Mr. Holbrook, is this how unconfident you are of your charm?" I pushed Caden away and chuckled lightly. Caden was concerned about me catching a cold, so he wanted to take me back to the hotel, but I suddenly remembered something. "Caden, did you see Joel earlier?" I asked. I was worried, not just because of Joel's identity as a werewolf prince, but mainly because he couldn't swim. With the huge waves last night, it might be difficult for him to safely make it through. Seeing this, Caden immediately sent someone to inquire with the rescue team. However, they hadn't seen Joel. After all, Joel had a distinctive appearance, and it was impossible to have seen him without remembering him. When I heard the rescue team's response, my heart sank a little. If something had happened to Joel, it would be hard for me to explain. Noticing my worry, Caden told his men to assist the rescue team in continuing the search. I stayed behind to wait because I was too anxious. Thankfully, it wasn't long before the rescue team reported that Joel had been found. I rushed over to see him, but Joel's condition didn't look promising. "It seems like he's been unconscious for a while and swallowed a lot of water. We'll take him to the hospital right away," said the werewolf nurse beside Joel's stretcher. I looked at Joel's pale face and felt nervous. After taking Joel to the hospital, Caden took me back to the hotel, and we both took a hot bath. It was lucky that we didn't catch a cold after being in the freezing sea last night. After showering, I scrolled through my phone as I lay in bed. There were some emails from the company, so I quickly replied to them. At that moment, the bathroom door opened, and Caden walked out with steam around him. I turned my head and saw his attractive figure. I couldn't help but smirk, and I shifted my gaze to the side. Caden smiled as he got into bed, pulled me into his arms, and kissed my forehead. "Caden, why am I so unlucky? Every time I go out to sea, I encounter danger." After yesterday's incident, I completely lost interest in any water sports. "Does this mean I have to lie in the hotel and watch TV in the future?" As I grumbled, Caden's eyes lit up with a playful glint. He reached out and pulled me into his chest. "We can also do some other things," he said. My face flushed red. I wanted to turn away from him, but I lost my balance. Then, my body tilted to the side, and I almost fell off the bed. However, this move must have aroused Caden. He reached out and grabbed my face as he pressed me firmly on the bed. "So eager, huh?" Caden looked at me teasingly.
