The Despised Luna's Comeback
As the engagement ceremony continued, many of the guests offering their blessings were unfamiliar to me. I wasn't in the mood to stand next to Caden, offering fake smiles, so I decided to find a quiet corner to catch my breath. As I was debating whether to have a small piece of cake, I heard a familiar voice behind me. "Rosaline ... " Turning around, I saw Jasper standing there with a soft smile on his face. "Congratulations." "Thank you. I thought you wouldn't make it since you mentioned you had an event today," I said, giving him a nod. "It's your engagement ceremony. How could I miss it?" Jasper said with a chuckle, pretending to be casual as he sighed softly. "You look beautiful today." "Thank you." I blinked, about to say something, but then I saw Caden walking toward us. I quickly fell silent as Caden approached and wrapped his arm around my waist. I leaned affectionately against his shoulder. Jasper's hand holding the wine glass trembled slightly, as if he was struggling to hold it steady. I pretended not to notice, giving him a nod. Jasper smiled bitterly, raised his glass to me, and drank it all in one go. Caden gave Jasper a cold look before taking my hand and leading me onto the dance floor. The gentle music surrounded us, and I rested my hand on Caden's shoulder, letting my body move to the beat as we started to dance. "Mr. Holbrook, not even an invitation? Just diving into the dance?" I tilted my head playfully, giving him a wink as I whispered. Caden didn't answer, instead, he softly squeezed my waist, sending a ticklish sensation through me that made me giggle. When I looked up, I noticed the rings on our fingers gently brushing against each other, and for a moment, I felt a bit dazed. What did I think when I first found out about the engagement?I remembered the first time I met Caden. Our first meeting was filled with disdain on both sides. But looking back at everything we had been through—facing challenges, getting to know each other, falling in love, and now, we were finally engaged. I looked up at the man who would soon be my husband, and it felt as though my heart was completely full. The feeling of being deeply loved by the person I cherish, being pampered by Caden, was truly wonderful. I hoped the Moon Goddess would bless us and connect us with the red thread of destined mates. Our steps were light, flowing effortlessly, perfectly in tune with each other, like a pair of star-crossed lovers dancing in harmony at the center of the floor. Then, a sudden sound caught my attention. I turned in surprise and saw brilliant fireworks lighting up the sky. "What's this?" I was surprised. Caden raised an eyebrow, his eyes soft, and said, "You said you wanted lots of flowers at the engagement." "Thank you." I looked at him in surprise, touched that Caden had thought to prepare this for me. He remembered every little thing I had said. Smiling, I took Caden's hand and led him outside. The fireworks lit up the night sky, and I couldn't help but smile, feeling utterly happy. "Caden, look! It's so beautiful!" I pointed to the sky, then turned to Caden. The fireworks were so loud that I naturally moved a little closer to him. Noticing this, Caden pulled me into his embrace. "Rosaline, I love you." "I love you, too." Under the night sky lit up by fireworks, we held each other close and shared a passionate kiss. Wendy's POV: Seeing them so happy and in love, my fingers tightened into fists.Rosaline Sinclair! This shameless Omega, why did she get to have Caden? Thankfully, it was just an engagement, not a marriage. I still had a chance! The anger inside me burned with fury. One day, I'd take Caden for myself. The heir to the Eclipse Pack would ultimately be mine! Rosaline's POV: The engagement ceremony ended perfectly, and Caden and I returned to the Eclipse Pack villa together. But as soon as we stepped inside, Caden impatiently kissed me, as if he wanted to fuse me into his body. "Mmm ... " Before I could react, he pressed me against the door. His overwhelming kiss washed over me, and my body instantly went weak. I wrapped my arms around Caden's neck, responding to him. This only drove him further, and he deepened the kiss even more. The air around me was thick with Caden's masculine scent, and my head went blank as my heart raced, my body burning with heat. I didn't know how long it had been, but eventually, Caden pulled back from the deep kiss. "Caden ... " I was a little breathless from the kiss, my forehead resting against his chest as I softly called his name. He gently cupped my chin, his nose brushing against mine, and our warm breaths mingled. His hand slowly moved up my back, his touch tender and affectionate. "Can I?" Caden's dark eyes burned with unrestrained hunger. Desire rose between us, making my heart tremble. Freya also let out an excited howl from the depths of her heart before courting and mating. Everything had naturally fallen into place, so I wouldn't refuse. I breathed a sigh of relief and buried my head in Caden's neck and shoulders.Originally, I wanted to wait until the wedding night. But now, we had the engagement ceremony, so it should be okay, right? I couldn't bear to let Caden suffer any longer, taking a cold shower every night. I felt a little nervous, but also a little bit expectant. I blushed and nodded, and said softly, "Yeah."
