The Despised Luna's Comeback

Chapter 593 Remember What You Said

Heidi's POV: I sat on the couch in Everett's villa, my gaze locked onto the timer bomb clutched tightly in my hands. Against my will, Caden's tall, striking figure surfaced in my mind. Memories played vividly before me—the man I had loved for years was about to announce his engagement to Rosaline! I wanted to hate Caden. I planned to follow Everett's suggestions and go to Caden and Rosaline's engagement ceremony, taking us all down together. But I realized I couldn't do it. It wasn't fear of death that stopped me ... it was the thought of Caden dying. Even though he was so ruthless—having personally sent me to prison—I still loved him. So instead, I had spent the past few days stalking Rosaline, searching for the perfect moment to strike. Yet the right opportunity never came. Just the thought of Rosaline ignited a fire of hatred inside me. At first, when I pretended to be Tessa, Caden never doubted me. Caden truly believed I was her—showering me with affection, treating me with such tenderness that I felt truly happy for the first time. But that wretched bitch, Rosaline, destroyed everything! She was the one who exposed me in front of Caden. She was the one who stole the man I loved! My fingers tightened around the timer bomb. I wouldn't let her get away with this. I'd make sure she suffers a fate worse than death. With a creak, the door opened. Everett strode inside, his eyes flicking down at me. "Where were you today?" I snapped out of my thoughts, setting the bomb aside, and lowered my eyes submissively. "I didn't go anywhere, just went for a walk—I was bored.""A walk?" Everett's face darkened as he grabbed my chin. "Have you forgotten you're a fugitive? You think you can just parade around like nothing's wrong? Do you have a death wish?" "I'm sorry, Everett!" Pain shot through my jaw, and I trembled under his glare. "Sorry, it won't happen again!" "You'd better obey me and stop playing tricks." Everett shoved me onto the bed, looming over me with cold dominance. "Don't forget—you were the one begging for my help." "I'll do exactly as you say, Everett. Rosaline and Caden—neither of them will escape my wrath!" I gritted my teeth. Finally satisfied, Everett gave a nod. "Remember what you said." Yura's POV: I lay in bed, scrolling absently through my phone. Ryan had been working late every night, wrapped up in his MV shoot. But tonight was worse than usual—it was nearly midnight, and he still wasn't home. Just as I turned restlessly in bed, Ryan walked into the room. "Still awake?" I sat up, asking softly. "Why are you so late?" Ryan sat beside me, pulling me into his arms. "We're behind schedule, so I had to work overtime." "Again?" A pang of jealousy sharpened my tone. "With Kristy?" "Yeah." Ryan nodded before wrapping his arms around me from behind, nuzzling his face against my neck. "So ... you really didn't know Kristy was cast as the MV female lead?" I asked, trying to sound nonchalant. Ryan caressed my stomach as he answered in that measured way of his, "Of course not. I didn't even know she'd entered the industry. When she walked onto set, I was completely shocked." I nodded, believing Ryan completely, then turned in his arms to bury my face against his chest, suddenly shy. "You have to call and tell me everything from now on," I murmured. Only now was I realizing just how deeply I cared about Ryan—how much he truly meant to me. Ryan's POV:The next morning, I rushed to the studio before dawn. Today marked the first day of the MV shoot, and I had to report to the studio early. By the time I entered the studio, Kristy was already standing in front of me, holding a cup of hot chocolate. With a radiant smile, Kristy said, "Ryan, since it's your first day filming, I treated the crew to hot chocolate. This one's specially for you—no sugar added." Kristy's actions raised suspicions among the crew, and they immediately started whispering about our relationship. "Have you noticed how close Kristy and Ryan seem? They must know each other well." "Yeah, Kristy arrived early this morning just to wait for Ryan." Hearing the gossip in the studio, I recalled Yura's disappointed expression from yesterday and immediately took a step back, maintaining distance from Kristy. "Kristy, I've already had breakfast at home, so I'll pass on the hot chocolate for now." My rejection instantly darkened Kristy's expression. Biting her lip, she replied, "Fine, let's just go over the script and start filming then." I nodded coldly, brushing past Kristy as I walked toward the shooting location. Throughout the shoot, Kristy kept trying to get close to me, attempting to create physical contact. At one point, she even pretended to stumble, hoping I'd catch her. Of course, I saw through all her little schemes. I remained indifferent, watching her coldly without a word, pretending not to notice her antics.
